  • Automatic lubrication devices are applied in various fields, such as huge machinery, construction machinery or commercial vehicles, to lower maintenance costs and protect the devices. In addition, the automatic lubrication device reduces frequent component failures cause by friction and allows the machine to replace the lubricating oil replenishment work carried out by the manager. However, the automatic lubricating device used in large machinery or commercial vehicles is relatively large, containing a large amount of lubricant in the space to be lubricated. On the other hand, a smart factory, such as a home appliance or cosmetics factory, lacks space to install large automatic lubrication devices, and it is difficult to distribute electricity. Therefore, there is a need for an automatic lubrication device that can be used in various environments that require lubrication. In this paper, a small automatic lubrication device is proposed for smart factories that have changed parts of existing factories, such as electronics factories, to minimize friction arising from mechanical parts, etc. In particular, the structure of lubricating pumps and component parts that are the core of automatic lubrication devices was described so that they could be utilized in various fields. Finally, a test bed environment is established for the proposed automatic lubrication device to evaluate its performance and verify its applicability.

  • The widespread use of smart home appliances with smart home networking is leading to a next generation of a new technology that exploit user contextual information to provide a richer experience. However, in the most part of home networking systems the intelligent personalization services between user and home appliances have not been adequately supplied in respect of the long lifespan of the legacy home appliances. In addition, without installing smart home appliances when constructing new building the users can not use this service. To use this service, the legacy home appliance need to attach enabler equipped with the various sensors just as it is smart home appliances. The goal is to create a service that enables appliances to exchange information and control their actions through the IoT gateway to achieve nonintrusive behavior and customized services without human intervention. In this paper, we propose a ontology model to represent the user context to be able to induce right service automatically and use it to discover, utilize and enhance different services in real time that the user may be interested in.

  • Customers can monitor electricity use in real time in smart grid(ICT is grafted onto current grid), so various beneficial services can be provided to customer. We did a qualitative survey, HV(Home Visit) and FGD(Focus Group Discussion), in order to derive customer's cognition of using electricity in home and values that customers consider significantly and a quantitative survey in order to know willingness to use. Customers consider electricity indispensible for using home appliances, want to use safely far from electromagnetic waves, short circuit and electronic shock. Also, customers want to save energy conveniently with no stress. Customers want 'a function', 'information', 'motivation' for energy saving, and 'electromagnetic waves cutting', 'to prevent electronic shock', 'to prevent short circuit' for safe electricity use. In this study, we derived 4 services - energy monitoring, standby power cutting, remote control, energy consulting - based on customer values and unmet needs, which is connected to home network that customers can monitor total and each appliance's electricity usage in real time and control home appliances. The willingness to use of services is over 60% and especially energy monitoring and standby power cutting service have high willingness to use rate, about 80%.

The Smart home is developing not only automatic control but also learning situation and user's taste and providing the result accordingly. This paper proposes a model that can provide a comfortable indoor environment control service for the user's characteristics by detecting the user's behavior as well as the automatic remote control service. The whole system consists of ESP 8266 with sensor and Wi-Fi, Firebase as a real-time database, and a smartphone application. This model is divided into functions such as learning mode when the home appliance is operated, learning control through learning results, and automatic ventilation using indoor and outdoor sensor values. The study used moving averages for temperature and humidity in the control of home appliances such as air conditioners, humidifiers and air purifiers. This system can provide higher quality service by analyzing and predicting user's characteristics through various machine learning and deep learning.

  • In this paper, we first introduce a general architecture of an energy management system in a home area network based on a smart grid. Then, we propose an efficient scheduling method for home power usage. The home gateway (HG) receives the demand response (DR) information indicating the real-time electricity price, which is transferred to an energy management controller (EMC). Referring to the DR, the EMC achieves an optimal power scheduling scheme, which is delivered to each electric appliance by the HG. Accordingly, all appliances in the home operate automatically in the most cost-effective way possible. In our research, to avoid the high peak-to-average ratio (PAR) of power, we combine the real-time pricing model with the inclining block rate model. By adopting this combined pricing model, our proposed power scheduling method effectively reduces both the electricity cost and the PAR, ultimately strengthening the stability of the entire electricity system.

  • Purpose: The size, shape, and volume of prosthetic appliance depend on the metal artifacts resulting from dental implant during head and neck treatment with radiation. This reduced the accuracy of contouring targets and surrounding normal tissues in radiation treatment plan. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to obtain the images of metal representing the size of tooth through MVCT, SMART-MAR CT and KVCT, evaluate the volumes, apply them into the proton therapy plan, and analyze the difference of dose distribution. Materials and Methods : Metal A ($0.5{\times}0.5{\times}0.5cm$), Metal B ($1{\times}1{\times}1cm$), and Metal C ($1{\times}2{\times}1cm$) similar in size to inlay, crown, and bridge taking the treatments used at the dentist's into account were made with Cerrobend ($9.64g/cm^3$). Metal was placed into the In House Head & Neck Phantom and by using CT Simulator (Discovery CT 590RT, GE, USA) the images of KVCT and SMART-MAR were obtained with slice thickness 1.25 mm. The images of MVCT were obtained in the same way with $RADIXACT^{(R)}$ Series (Accuracy $Precision^{(R)}$, USA). The images of metal obtained through MVCT, SMART-MAR CT, and KVCT were compared in both size of axis X, Y, and Z and volume based on the Autocontour Thresholds Raw Values from the computerized treatment planning equipment Pinnacle (Ver 9.10, Philips, Palo Alto, USA). The proton treatment plan (Ray station 5.1, RaySearch, USA) was set by fusing the contour of metal B ($1{\times}1{\times}1cm$) obtained from the above experiment by each CT into KVCT in order to compare the difference of dose distribution. Result: Referencing the actual sizes, it was appeared: Metal A (MVCT: 1.0 times, SMART-MAR CT: 1.84 times, and KVCT: 1.92 times), Metal B (MVCT: 1.02 times, SMART-MAR CT: 1.47 times, and KVCT: 1.82 times), and Metal C (MVCT: 1.0 times, SMART-MAR CT: 1.46 times, and KVCT: 1.66 times). MVCT was measured most similarly to the actual metal volume. As a result of measurement by applying the volume of metal B into proton treatment plan, the dose of $D_{99%}$ volume was measured as: MVCT: 3094 CcGE, SMART-MAR CT: 2902 CcGE, and KVCT: 2880 CcGE, against the reference 3082 CcGE Conclusion: Overall volume and axes X and Z were most identical to the actual sizes in MVCT and axis Y, which is in the superior-Inferior direction, was regular in length without differences in CT. The best dose distribution was shown in MVCT having similar size, shape, and volume of metal when treating head and neck protons. Thus it is thought that it would be very useful if the contour of prosthetic appliance using MVCT is applied into KVCT for proton treatment plan.

This study addresses the UX design evaluation issues in mobile application development of smart home appliances. As an experimental research subject, the UX design evaluation contents were set up for the mobile application of , the demand of which is surging recently. The purpose of the research is to explore the significance of the UX design user evaluation method in smart home applications, and to suggest how to achieve the mixing of quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. The main findings are as follows. First, we found that user evaluation can positively impact the direction of UX design. Secondly, we found that the mixing of 'quantitative' and 'qualitative' methods works complementarily to UX design evaluation. Research implications are as follows. The UX design evaluation process can be performed efficiently as long as we distinguish between the roles of quantitative evaluation and qualitative evaluation. For example, through qualitative evaluation such as 'Honeycomb model', can be identified in terms of 'exploratory', and through qualitative evaluation such as 'in-depth user interview', can be identified in terms of 'assessment' and 'validation'.
