Black leaf spot disease occurred on Dendrobium phalaenopsis grown in farmer's fields located in Bonggangmyon, Gwangyang-eup, Jeonnam, Korea. Black small spots occurred on leaves at initial stage of infection and the infected leaves turned yellow from the tip. The yellow leaves were falled, resulting in stem blighting or eventual death of the entire plant. White mycelial colony of the causal fungus grown on potato dextrose agarturned dark violet later and optimum temperature for the mycelial growth was $25^{\circ}C$. The causal fungus isolated from the black leaf spot on D. phalaenopsis was identified as Fusarium moniliforme based on the mycological characteristics and pathogenicity. The fungus also caused same symptoms on leaves of Phalaenopsis sp. and Cymbidium sp. as well sa D. phalaenopsis by wound inoculation. This is the first report on black leaf spot of D. phalaenopsis caused by F.moniliforme in Korea.
Rust disease was occurred on Iris in several farmer's fields fields located in Hoehwa-myon, Goseong-gun, Gyeong-nam province in Korea. The typical symptoms of the disease appeared first as small, yellowish spot on leaves. The spots then turn brown, their edges rised slightly, and powdery mass of yellowish brown spores revealed on the lesions. Severely infected leaves were blighted and eventually died. Urediniospores were yellowish brown to reddish brown in color, obobid to obovoid in shape and 22~30 ${\times}$ 21~25${\mu}m$m in size. Teliospores were chestnet-brown in color, oblong or clavate in shape and 32~54 ${\times}$ 12~22${\mu}m$ in size. The causal fungus was identified as Puccinia iridis, based on morphological characteristics. This is the first report on the rust of Iris nertschinskia by Puccinia iridis in Korea.
Rust disease was found on broad bean (Vuia faba) in several farmer's fields located in Changseon-myon, Nam-hae-gun, Gyeongnam province in Korea. The infection rate of the disease in the surveyed area was 84.3% in 2002. The typical symptoms of the disease appeared first as small, white spots on leaves, stems and pods. Spots, then turn brownish, their edges rised slightly, and powdery mass of yellowish brown spores revealed on them. Severely infected leaves were eventually defoliated. Uredospores were light brown in color, ellipsoid or ovoid in shape and 24~38$\times$21~26 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in size. Teliospores were dark brown in color, ellipsoid or ovoid in shape and 22~42$\times$17~27 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in size. Pedicels were sienna to luteous in color and 52~116 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in size. The causal fungus was identified as Uromyces viciae-fabae, based on morphological characteristics. This is the first report on the rust of broad bean caused by Uromyces viciae-faae in Korea.
Currently TMR feed produced in commercial plant is one of the major source to feed cattle for both beef and dairy farm. However, because of lack of cutting and mixing system for utilizing domestic produced firmly baled round roughage in commercial TMR plant, these commercial TMR feed can not satisfy to farmers both in quality and price points of view. In order to solve these problems, a farm group size TMR plant model was developed in this study. The model plant was consist of round bale receiving and cutting system, pneumatic conveying system for transfer the roughage which was cut at the cutter to TMR mixer through pneumatic conveyor, TMR mixer enable to soften the stiff rice strew and to mix with other ingredients, finished feed bin which can be transfer to either packing system or individual farm, packing system by tycon bag which contains 400 kg unit and bulk unloading system to individual farmer. Also, a simulation model ARENA was applied to the model system in order to evaluate and check the production rate in each unit process and operation rate of total system and to find out if there are any clogged unit system obstructing the smooth flow of the total process flow. Processing cycle for produce one batch of the model plant was less than 30 minutes. Thus, it will take less than four hours for producing 16 tons per day equivalent to 1,000 beef cattle's daily feed.
Rust disease was occurred on blackberry lily (Belamcanda chinensis) in several farmer's fields located in Heohwa-myon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam province in Korea. The typical symptoms of the disease appeared as small, yellowish spot on leaves at first. The spots then turned brown, their edges rised slightly, and powdery mass of yellow or yellowish green spores appeared on the lesions. Severely infected leaves were blighted and eventually died. Urediniospores were yellow or yellowish brown in color, globoid to ovoid in shape and $21{\sim}46{\times}18{\sim}38\;{\mu}m$ in size. Teliospores were brown in color, oblong or clavate in shape and $32{\sim}64{\times}12{\sim}26\;{\mu}m$ in size. The causal fungus was identified as Puccinia belamcandae based on morphological characteristics and host specificity. This is the first report on the rust of B. chinensis caused by P. belamcandae in Korea.

Ionization chambers often exhibit a stem effect, caused by interactions of radiation with air near the chamber end, or with dielectric in the chamber stem or cable. In this study measured stem effect correction factor for length of ionization chamber from medical linear accelerator recommend to with the use of stem correction method. For a model of the Farmer-type chamber, were used to calculate the beam quality correction factor. These interactions contribute to the apparent measured exposure. Additionally, it needs to consider ionization chamber use of small volume and stem effect of cable by a large field. Linear accelerator generated photons energy and increased dose repeatedly measured by using stem correction method. Stem effect was dependence of the energy and increases with photon energy conditions improved of beam quality. In conclusion, stem effect correction factor was measured within 0.4% calculated according to the exposures stem length and also supposed to determined below 1% of another stem correction method.

This study aims at explaining locality of living space which is changing drastically by exploring change of land utilization, living space and condition in Yeo-ju, an agricultural area around Seoul. The conclusions are as follows. 1. Agricultural land utilization tends to decrease, while civic land utilization tends to increase. 2. Change of living space due to transportation development is remarkable. Big ferry town (Yeoju-town) grew to a city, while small ferry town fell away. 3. In villages on slow urbanization, houses or lands are deserted. 4. In villages, there has been increasing number of recreational farm for urbanite. 5. In 80% of villages, there has been an increasing number of part-time farmers. 6. Most serious social problem in Yeo-ju is incompetence in agricultural activity after UR. In sum, Yeoju is now an area where the pace of urbanization is very tardy. However, this area, as an changeable area just before speedy urbanization, is expected to be urbanized drastically on condition that transportation develop. When plans suitable for this town are set up, Yeoju is expected to be a comfortable city.
Blister blight was occurred on tea (Thea sinensis) in a farmer's tea garden located in Sicheon-myon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam province, Korea. The typical symptoms of the disease were appeared on the leaves and bud. The early symptom were started with small yellowish spots then infected area became upheave and covered with white blister which the hymenium de.veloped from under neath of epidermis. Generally, the infected leaves and buds were appeared like rice cake. Colonies formed on PDA were developed white, later turned milk white. Basidia were 2 sterigma, and 30${\sim}$53 ${\times}$ 3.1${\sim}$5.8 ${\mu}m$ in size. Basidiospores were ellipsoid curved, coloriess, 1-celled and 11${\sim}$14.7 ${\times}$ 4${\sim}$5.4 ${\mu}m$ in size. The optimum temperature for growth of the fungus was about $25^{\circ}C$ on PDA and PSA. This is the first report on the blister blight of tea caused by Exobasidium vexans in Korea.
Information and communication technologies (ICTs) have always mattered in agriculture too. In day-to-day practices of agriculture and allied sectors, the farmers often share their information. Changing weather patterns, soil conditions, pests and diseases always throw challenges to small and marginal farmers. So, the farmer needs up-dated information to cope with and even benefit from these changes. In the developing countries like India, where agriculture still plays a crucial role (over 58% of the rural households depend on agriculture as their livelihood) and the rising population from 1027 million to 1419 million during 2001-16 (a total rise of 38 percent or 1.3 percent per year) pose a lot of pressure on land and other resources to meet the food security needs on one hand and to meet the challenges of globalization on the other. Understanding and addressing these challenges are very crucial, in which ICT can play a major role. With the booming mobile, wireless, and Internet industries, ICT has found a foothold even in poor marginal and smallholder farms and in their activities. The survey conducted among the 120 farmers in Srikakulam district in India revealed that, ICT has revolutionized the agriculture in the modern days. Production and marketing information is accessed by 91% of the sample farmers through mobile in 2015, where it was only 5% in 2005. The extent of use of mobile phones by the farmers varied with the decision to be taken by them like Harvesting, packing, and storing (94%), Selling Decision (91%), Seed purchase (89%), Application of fertilizers and pesticides (88%) and Land preparation and planting (84%), other package of practices (77%). The farmers further opined that, 'Voice' was the dominating source of communication (96%) compared to Short Message Service (SMS) (only 27%) and Internet access (10%), as majority are illiterate. The use of camera (71%), Bluetooth (33%), Radio (61%) TV (41%) are the other means of sharing the information. In this context of importance of ICTs in Indian agriculture, greater attention justifies about the applications of ICT's to alleviate poverty and promote economic growth of the farming population.
In the traditional subsistence farming era in Korea, most of small farmer's housing plots in the rural villages had their boundary barriers of which materials being the natural ones provided from nearby places. However, during the rapid industrialization period from 1960s, a traditional type of boundary barriers in the rural villages had been replaced mostly by low-cost factory-made ones, which means absolute loss of their amenity values as a linear part of villagescape. In spite of many study efforts on boundary barriers of traditional rural houses, detailed historical dating on them after 1960s have not tried up to now, which provoked to try this study. Through the direct and in-depth interviews to rural villagers sampled from 21 case villages, it was found that original boundary barriers structure in most of farm houses was made of natural materials like stone, soil, trees and bamboo, but, replaced by cement block structures mostly during Saemaeul Project period. However, although being relatively minority, traditional ones have been preserved up to now mainly in remote mountainous and seashore villages, but was in very low condition. In the overall view, for more than half a century, boundary barriers of farm houses had been left without public or private improvement efforts. In order to enhance their amenity values, more research works should be carried out on positive reassessment of the traditional ones harmonized with multifunctionalities for modern village life.
