To manage a cluster of distributed server systems, a number of management aspects should be considered in terms of configuration management, fault management, performance management, and user management. System performance monitoring and reporting take an important role for performance and fault management. In this paper, we present distributed system architecture modeling of a performance monitoring and reporting tool. Modeling architecture of four subsystems are introduced: node agent, data collection, performance management & report, and DB schema. The performance-related information collected from distributed servers are categorized into performance counters, event data for system status changes, service quality, and system configuration data. In order to analyze those performance information, we use a number of ways to evaluate data corelation. By using some results from a real site of a company and from simulation of artificial workload, we show the example of performance collection and analysis. Since our report tool detects system fault or node component failure and analyzes performances through resource usage and service quality, we are able to provide information for server load balancing, in short term view, and the cause of system faults and decision for system scale-out and scale-up, in long term view.

사구종은 피부와 피하 인접부위에 위치하는 피부의 온도를 조절하는 사구체에서 발생하는 혈관종의 일종으로 대개 조갑하 부위에서 발생하는 양성 종양이다. 수지 이외의 부위에서 발생하는 경우가 상대적으로 흔하나 말초 신경에서 생기는 경우는 비교적 드문 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 교실에서는 일반적으로 호발하는 부위가 아닌 상완신경총에서 발생한 사구종 1예를 경험하였기에 이에 대해 보고하고자 한다.

Swelling is a body's natural reaction to foot and ankle injury to mount a healing inflammatory response. To some degree, swelling is necessary for healing and is something that cannot be avoided following injury. However, post-traumatic swelling may have an adverse effect on wound healing and surgery can often be delayed due to preoperative swelling. We report on a unique technique of making multiple meshed stab incisions around the site of injury to reduce soft tissue swelling and promote wound healing.

In clinical practice, recurrent Achilles ruptures have been noted to occurr at the original ruptured site. However, reports of new developed fresh rupture of the Achilles tendon in other sites are is extremely rare. Our report is about one uncommon case of a traumatic calcaneal tuberosity avulsion fracture following augmented repair, which was performed using the Krackow locking loop technique. We performed open reduction and intra-osseous fixation using a suture anchor. This procedure was done through the primary longitudinal incision for the calcaneal avulsion fracture fragment. After 6 months of follow-up, our patient has achieved a complete functional recovery and he can normally perform daily and work-related tasks without pain.

A squamous odontogenic tumor (SOT) is rare disease and it is believed to originate from epithelial rests of Malassez of the periodontal membrane. Neither sex nor site predilection in either jaw has been established. Some lesion can be shown in juxtaposition in tooth roots. Although most lesions remain smaller than 2 cm, our cases involved a half of left mandibular ramus. The exact pathogenesis is still unknown. We report a case of SOT including the results of immunohistochemical study of pancytokeratin and p53.

The eyelids perform many complex functions and are esthetically important, since eye is focal point of face. Tumor extirpation or trauma can lead to full-thickness eyelid defect, which Should be reconstructed as soon as possible There are a number of operation methods for lower lid reconstruction, and among them, Hughes procedure is a time-honored method. Its advantages are good cosmetic result and conjunctival repair by using eyelid structures to rebuild eyelid structures. However, this is a two-staged procedure in which the vision of the affected eye is obstructed during the interval between the operations. We experienced a case of trauma-induced full-thickness lower lid defect extending over one-third of lid length treated by Hughes method. The cosmetic and functional result was good and there was no donor site morbidity, and now we report this case with review of literatures.

저자 등은 성인에서는 드물게 발생하는 것으로 알려진 낭포성활액종을 가진 22세 남자 환자에서 임상소견 및 방사선 소견상 우측 전경부삼각에 발생한 낭포성활액종의 가진하에 악하부 절개를 통해 낭종성의 종물을 악하선을 포함하여 완전 절제후 재발 등의 특별한 문제 없이 양호한 결과를 얻었기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고 드리는 바이다.

Historically, Eagle syndrome is a term that has been used to describe radiating pain in the orofacial region, foreign body sensation, and/or dysphagia due to a unilateral or bilateral elongated styloid process impinging upon the tonsillar region. Because elongated styloid processes-with or without associated Eagle syndrome-can present with various symptoms and radiographic findings, it can be challenging for healthcare practitioners to formulate an accurate diagnosis. Abnormal styloid anatomy can lead to a multitude of symptoms, including chronic orofacial/neck pain, thus masquerading as more commonly diagnosed conditions. In this report, we describe a patient who presented to our department with styloid process elongation and fracture. A careful history, physical examination, and a cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) investigation led to the diagnosis. The patient was then referred for appropriate care. This case report demonstrates the utilization of CBCT in differentiating a fracture site from a pseudo-joint that might mimic a fracture.

The socket preservation technique is very effective in preventing alveolar ridge collapse after tooth extraction. Many technigues have been proposed for the primary closure of the flap and we tested a new graft design, "wing graft", which is a modification of free connective tissue graft in this case report. With this technique, primary closure was achieved without shallowing the vestibule. Additionally some vertical ridge augmentation effect could be observed and therefore good esthetic and functional results were obtained from this technique even in the case where severe bone loss and gingival recession was present. Finally we observed good healing appearance in the donor site after 2weeks. The results from this report suggest that this "wing graft" can be used successfully as an adjunctive procedure with socket preservation technique.

We report a case of actinomycotic infection in epiglottis. Actinomycosis in the head and neck area is relatively rare but extremely rare in the larynx. A 63-year old man presented with continuous discomfort of the throat while swallowing. He had a history of oral injury caused by a fish bone a few weeks prior. Upon Examination with a flexible laryngoscope, a whitish round mass was noted at the lingual surface of the epiglottis. Under local anesthesia, a punch biopsy was performed and showed the typical features of actinomycosis. The mass was removed using a Diode laser under suspension laryngoscope. Additive oral antibiotic therapy was done for 2 weeks. No definite recurrence was noted at the operation site and the patient is now free of disease.
