With the improvement of the computer performance, the users demand for the multimedia player is getting higher, which will be the major force behind the wide distribution of the media player that allows several moving pictures to run simultaneously using multiple windows on the screen. Products that adopted the same method used for a single moving picture and yet support the several moving pictures simultaneously emerged; however, they are not immune from problems. In this paper, we propose method to solve the problems of blinking, play prioritization processor and semi-transparent Processor that occur when appling several moving pictures to the method used for a single moving picture and suggested the possible solutions. Taking it one step further, it focused on design and implementation of the media player that allows several moving pictures using overlapping and overlay technique by recognizing the biggest problem, which is that the above media play is not supported when playing several moving pictures simultaneously.

The objective of this paper is to study the characteristics of combination method to correct both angle and distance errors simultaneously based on the least square adjustment methods. Changing the standard errors of distance and angle, the simulation errors of triangultion, trilateration, and combination result in some 39.8%, 33.9%, and 26.3% respectively. As the above, combination method shows more consistent accuracy than other methods. When considering the weight factor about error elements with independence, the diminishing rate of simulated average standard error represents a various change in each method. But considering them simultaneously, it shows a remarkable rate of diminishing 75.5%, 74.1%, and 69.2% in each method. And also, by growing the weight factor, accuracy of triangulation method is growing, whereas that of trilateration is diminishing. Therefore, determining the reasonable weight factors of distance and angle errors simultaneously in the analytical combination method, this method is expected to be one of more accurate and more effective methods for determining horizontal positions on the earth.
To effectively extract the vast wind resource, offshore wind turbines are designed with large rotor and slender tower, which makes them vulnerable to external vibration sources such as wind and wave loads. Substantial research efforts have been devoted to mitigate the unwanted vibrations of offshore wind turbines to ensure their serviceability and safety in the normal working condition. However, most previous studies investigated the vibration control of wind turbines in one direction only, i.e., either the out-of-plane or in-plane direction. In reality, wind turbines inevitably vibrate in both directions when they are subjected to the external excitations. The studies on both the in-plane and out-of-plane vibration control of wind turbines are, however, scarce. In the present study, the NREL 5 MW wind turbine is taken as an example, a detailed three-dimensional (3D) Finite Element (FE) model of the wind turbine is developed in ABAQUS. To simultaneously control the in-plane and out-of-plane vibrations induced by the combined wind and wave loads, another carefully designed (i.e., tuned) spring and dashpot are added to the perpendicular direction of each Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) system that is used to control the vibrations of the tower and blades in one particular direction. With this simple modification, a bi-directional TMD system is formed and the vibrations in both the out-of-plane and in-plane directions are simultaneously suppressed. To examine the control effectiveness, the responses of the wind turbine without control, with separate TMD system and the proposed bi-directional TMD system are calculated and compared. Numerical results show that the bi-directional TMD system can simultaneously control the out-of-plane and in-plane vibrations of the wind turbine without changing too much of the conventional design of the control system. The bi-directional control system therefore could be a cost-effective solution to mitigate the bi-directional vibrations of offshore wind turbines.
Purpose: The primary objective of this research is to develop the optimal operating conditions as well as their associated design spaces for a Cryogenic Submerged Arc Welding(SAW) process by improving its quality and productivity simultaneously. Methods: In order to investigate functional relationships among quality characteristics and their associated control factors of an SAW process, a stepwise design of experiment(DoE) method is proposed in this paper. Based on the DoE results, not only a multi-dimensional design space but also a safe operating space and normal acceptable range(NAR) by integrating statistical confidence intervals were demonstrated. In addition, the optimal operating conditions within the proposed NAR can be obtained by a robust optimal design method. Results: This study provides a customized stepwise DoE method (i.e., a sequential set of DoE such as a factorial design and a central composite design) for Cryogenic SAW process and its statistical analysis results. DoE results can then provide both the main and interaction effects of input control factors and the functional relationships between the input factors and their associated output responses. Maximizing both the product quality with high impact strength and the productivity with minimum processing times simultaneously in a case study, we proposed a design space which can provide both acceptable productivity and quality levels and NARs of input control factors. In order to confirm the optimal factor settings and the proposed NARs, validation experiments were performed. Conclusion: This research may provide significant contributions and applications to many SAW problems by preparing a standardization of the functional relationship between the input factors and their associated output response. Moreover, the proposed design space based on DoE and NAR methods can simultaneously consider a number of quality characteristics including tradeoff between productivity and quality levels.

This paper was to evaluate social enterprises' management efficiency with Data Envelope Analysis (DEA). The data was based on the 168 social enterprises' of annual performance reports published in 2015. The research focused on to measure both financial efficiency and social impact of the companies simultaneously. To apply DEA, the paper classified the enterprises into seven types based on types of socal impacts which each company provides before the estimation of the efficiency. The research results showed that group D, which employes disadvantaged people, provides social services and shares resources was the most efficient group and had higest net worths in Pure Technical Efficiency. In contrast, Group B, which only employs social advantage people and provides social service, was the least efficient one. The research suggests a practical and efficient framework in measuring social enterprises' management efficiency, including both the financial performance and social impacts simultaneously with their self-publishing reports. Because the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency does not open business reports which social enterprises submit each year, there are basic limitations on researchers attempting to analyse with data from all social enterprises in Korea. Thus, this study dealt with only 10% of the social enterprises which self-published their performance report on the Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency's web site. Regardless of these limitations, this study suggested substantial methods to estimate management efficiency with the self-published reports. Because self-publishing is increasing each year, it will be the main source of information for researchers in examining and evaluating social enterprises' financial performance or social contribution. The research suggests a practical and efficient framework in measuring social enterprises' management efficiency, including both the financial performance and social impacts simultaneously with their self-publishing reports. The research results suggest not only list of efficient enterprises but also methods of improvement for less efficient enterprises.
To treat a kind of nail damage, this study proceeded with gel polish procedure oriented to 19 women in their twenties and thirties, dividing into three experimental groups, such as the A group with non-treatment (n=6), the B group taking Nutritional Convergent supplement (n=6), and the C group simultaneously taking Nutritional Convergent supplement and Nail Convergent Strengthener (n=7), and inquired into the superficial change of nails, changes of thickness, analysis of damage degree and satisfaction rate. The analysis shows that the C group simultaneously applied with dietary supplement and complex nail supplement presented the best result in all areas. As for the morphological changes of the surface of nails measured by the scanning electron microscope, there were definite changes as compared with the B group. According to the result, it is proved that complex dietary supplement helps to improve the thickness and the surface of damaged nails and it is reasoned that a higher effect can be expected when complex nail supplement is simultaneously used.
Based on the actual operating environment of transformer, the aging tests of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) were conducted systematically under four conditions: in air, in transform oil, under compression in air and under compression in transform oil to studythe effect of high temperature, transform oil and compression stress simultaneously on the thermal aging behaviors of nitrile butadiene rubber and predict the lifetime. The effects of liquid media and compression stress simultaneously on the thermal aging behaviors of nitrile butadiene rubber were studied by using characterization methods such as IR spectrosc-opy, thermogravimetric measurements, Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) measurements and mechanical property measurements. The changes in physical properties during the aging process were analyzed and compared. Different aging conditions yielded materials with different properties. Aging at $70^{\circ}C$ under compression stress in oil, the change in elongation at break was lower than that aging in oil, but larger than that aging under compression in air. The compression set or elongation at break as evaluation indexes, 50% as critical value, the lifetime of NBR at $25^{\circ}C$ was predicted and compared. When aging under compression in oil, the prediction lifetime was lower than in air and under compression in air, and in oil. It was clear that when predicting the service lifetime of NBR in oil sealing application, compression and media liquid should be involved simultaneously. Under compression in oil, compression set as the evaluation index, the prediction lifetime of NBR was shorter than that of elongation at break as the evaluation index. For the life prediction of NBR, we should take into account of the performance trends of NBR under actual operating conditions to select the appropriate evaluation index.
Introduction: It is a challenge to design a protein score function which stabilizes the native structures of many proteins simultaneously. The coarse-grained description of proteins to construct the pairwise-contact score function usually ignores the backbone directionality of protein structures. We propose a new two-body score function which stabilizes all native states of 1,006 proteins simultaneously. This two-body score function differs from the usual pairwise-contact functions in that it considers two adjacent amino acids at two ends of each peptide bond with the backbone directionality from the N-terminal to the C-terminal. The score is a corresponding propensity for a directional alignment of two adjacent amino acids with their local environments. Results and Discussion: We show that the construction of a directional adjacency-score function was achieved using 1,006 training proteins with the sequence homology less than 30%, which include all representatives of different protein classes. After parameterizing the local environments of amino acids into 9 categories depending on three secondary structures and three kinds of hydrophobicity of amino acids, the 32,400 adjacency-scores of amino acids could be determined by the perceptron learning and the protein threading. These could stabilize simultaneously all native folds of 1,006 training proteins. When these parameters are tested on the new distinct 382 proteins with the sequence homology less than 90%, 371 (97.1%) proteins could recognize their native folds. We also showed using these parameters that the retro sequence of the SH3 domain, the B domain of Staphylococcal protein A, and the B1 domain of Streptococcal protein G could not be stabilized to fold, which agrees with the experimental evidence.
Forbush Decreases (FD) are transient, sudden reductions of cosmic ray (CR) intensity lasting a few days, to a week. Such events are observed globally using ground neutron monitors (NMs). Most studies of FD events indicate that an FD event is observed simultaneously at NM stations located all over the Earth. However, using statistical analysis, previous researchers verified that while FD events could occur simultaneously, in some cases, FD events could occur non-simultaneously. Previous studies confirmed the statistical reality of non-simultaneous FD events and the mechanism by which they occur, using data from high-latitude and middle-latitude NM stations. In this study, we used long-term data (1971-2006) from middle-latitude NM stations (Irkutsk, Climax, and Jungfraujoch) to enhance statistical reliability. According to the results from this analysis, the variation of cosmic ray intensity during the main phase, is larger (statistically significant) for simultaneous FD events, than for non-simultaneous ones. Moreover, the distribution of main-phase-onset time shows differences that are statistically significant. While the onset times for the simultaneous FDs are distributed evenly over 24-hour intervals (day and night), those of non-simultaneous FDs are mostly distributed over 12-hour intervals, in daytime. Thus, the existence of the two kinds of FD events, according to differences in their statistical properties, were verified based on data from middle-latitude NM stations.
Since the operation of the first satellite-based navigation services, satellite positioning has played an increasing role in both surveying and navigation, and has become an indispensable tool for precise relative positioning. However, in some situations, e.g. at a low angle of elevation, the use of satellites for navigation is seriously restricted because obstacles like buildings and mountains can block signals. As a mean to resolve this problem, the quasi-zenith satellite system has been proposed as a next-generation satellite navigation system. Quasi-zenith satellite is a system which simultaneously deploys several satellites in a quasi-zenith geostationary orbit so that one of the satellites always stay close to the zenith if viewed from a specific point on the ground of East Asia. Thus, if a position measurement function compatible with GPS is installed in the quasi-zenith and stationary satellites, and these satellites are utilized together with the GPS, four satellites can be accessed simultaneously nearly all day long and a substantial improvement in position measurement, especially in metropolitan areas, can be achieved. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of quasi-zenith satellite system on positioning accuracy improvement through simulation by using precise orbital information of the satellites and a three-Dimensional digital map. Through this simulation system, it is possible to calculate the number of simultaneously visible satellites and available area of the positioning without the need of actual observation.
