협력적 공간다중화 기반 상향링크 다중사용자 시스템을 위한 신호검출 기법 (A Signal Detection Method for Uplink Multiuser Systems Based on Collaborative Spatial Multiplexing)

  • 기존 SM MIMO 시스템을 위한 신호검출 기법인 OSIC 계열의 기법과 준최적 신호검출 기법인 QRD-M 기법을 협력적 공간다중화 기반 상향링크 다중사용자 시스템에 적용할 경우 사용자별 신호의 검출성능에 차이가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 협력적 공간다중화 기반 상향링크 다중사용자 시스템을 위한 사용자간별 검출성능 차이가 발생하지 않으면서 최적 신호검출 기법과 유사한 성능을 보이는 신호검출 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 신호검출 기법의 연산복잡도는 QPSK 변조에서는 QRD-M과 유사하지만, 16-QAM, 64-QAM과 같이 높은 차수의 변조방식의 시스템에서는 QRD-M에 비해 매우 낮은 연산복잡도를 가진다.

  • In this study, the design concepts for Intelligent Hospital are derived using the Quality Function Deployment(QFD) and System Requirement Analysis Method. First, requirements for important elements of Intelligent hospital are defined. Second, similar systems are compared and user requirement are refined. Through this process, operational requirement for Intelligent Hospital are defined by combining user requirements and similar systems. To analyze operational requirement, the QFD of the system engineering approach are implemented. Alternative design specifications are constructed by implementing the QFD results by building the Morphological Matrix. Various concepts that satisfy the system requirement are derived. Finally the best design concept are obtained using the Pugh concept selection matrix.

TPS를 이용한 한국형 고무차륜경량전철(K-AGT)의 성능특성 분석 (Train Performance Characteristics of Korean Rubber-Tired AGT System by TPS)

  • In this work, the characteristics of train performance of Korean rubber-tired AGT system(K-AGT) are evaluated by using TPS(Train Performance Simulation) and these results are compared to those of other LRT(Light Rail Transit) systems. The performance characteristics of K-AGT was analyzed by comparing the scheduled speed and the energy consumption in case of station interval change and rail track condition change in, the scheduled construction line. In the scheduled construction line, scheduled speed of K-AGT was no difference with other systems and energy consumption was less than other LRT's. In case station intervals are increased, scheduled speed of K-AGT shows similar increasing rate and in curved and graded track conditions K-AGT has no difference in scheduled speed with other systems. As a simulation result by track condition change, when the track which is smaller than curved line of 250m dominates more than $50\%$ in whole track, K-AGT is similar to other systems to the point of scheduled speed and there is advantage in energy consumption.

Physical Origin of the Planar Alignment of Satellite Galaxies

  • The Milky Way (MW) and other systems including M31 and Cen A have flattened structures of their satellites (Disk of Satellites, DoS). Such structures are rare in simulations under the ΛCDM paradigm. DoS is known to depend mainly on 1) the alignment of satellite orbits and 2) the degree of central concentration of satellites. In this work, we examine quantitatively how these two parameters affect the flatness of a system. We find that the MW-like DoS is rare in IllustrisTNG100 simulation because its two parameters are out of the 1-s range and furthermore the MW has a structure more flattened than the other systems having similar parameters. Besides, we propose a new criterion for the MW-like systems superseding the conventional ones such as major-minor axis ratio of the MW's DoS with a value of 0.183. Each satellite system has a specific orbital combination and thus has a particular distribution of its parameters (and thus flatness). The median of the distribution is set as the representative value of each system. And the representative value of the MW can be used as a new criterion for classifying the MW-like DoS. We reconstruct the orbital combination of the observed MW satellites using GAIA DR2 data and find the systems in the simulation that have representative values similar to the new criterion from the reconstructed MW system. This allows us a new interpretation on the rarity of MW-like DoS in cosmological simulations.

FolkRank++: An Optimization of FolkRank Tag Recommendation Algorithm Integrating User and Item Information

  • The graph-based tag recommendation algorithm FolkRank can effectively utilize the relationships between three entities, namely users, items and tags, and achieve better tag recommendation performance. However, FolkRank does not consider the internal relationships of user-user, item-item and tag-tag. This leads to the failure of FolkRank to effectively map the tagging behavior which contains user neighbors and item neighbors to a tripartite graph. For item-item relationships, we can dig out items that are very similar to the target item, even though the target item may not have a strong connection to these similar items in the user-item-tag graph of FolkRank. Hence this paper proposes an improved FolkRank algorithm named FolkRank++, which fully considers the user-user and item-item internal relationships in tag recommendation by adding the correlation information between users or items. Based on the traditional FolkRank algorithm, an initial weight is also given to target user and target item's neighbors to supply the user-user and item-item relationships. The above work is mainly completed from two aspects: (1) Finding items similar to target item according to the attribute information, and obtaining similar users of the target user according to the history behavior of the user tagging items. (2) Calculating the weighted degree of items and users to evaluate their importance, then assigning initial weights to similar items and users. Experimental results show that this method has better recommendation performance.

  • Anosov families were introduced by A. Fisher and P. Arnoux motivated by generalizing the notion of Anosov diffeomorphism defined on a compact Riemannian manifold. Roughly, an Anosov family is a two-sided sequence of diffeomorphisms (or non-stationary dynamical system) with similar behavior to an Anosov diffeomorphisms. We show that the set consisting of Anosov families is an open subset of the set consisting of two-sided sequences of diffeomorphisms, which is equipped with the strong topology (or Whitney topology).

  • After attending the special lecture by Halligan on "The Principles of Systems Engineering" at the 2002 KCOSE workshop, the author tried to collect similar SE principles scanning throughout several SE text books and internet sources. During this process it is found that INCOSE once established a SE-Principles WG and tried to collect SE-principles. They tried to make distinctions among pragmatic, mathematical, and philosophical principles. The result of this effort to collect various SE-principles showed that, including the INCOSE SE-principles WG, most authors seem only succeeded in generating the pragmatic SE-principles but failed in both mathematical and philosophical SE-principles.

  • Conditions for achieving noninteraction in nonlinear multivariable systems via the decomposition of state space are well established. The main contribution of this paper is to present a Standard Decomposed System (SDS). The SDS is similar to the decomposed system of Isidorl, Krener, Gori-Giorgi, and Monaco but has a finer structure. The finer structure parallels the one used by Gilbert for linear systems. A weaker form of noninteraction, based on input-output behaviour, is decoupling. Some connections between decomposition and decoupling are also established.

  • This paper develops a standard time table using STD(Standard Tine Data) Technique in multi-product and one-unit production systems. STD leads to greater consistency between similar jobs. The constant-time and special elements will always be the same even though they pertain to different part numbers. Actually, the standards will very based on the size of the variable elements that are in control of the time. A real-field example is presented.

A Fuzzy Model of Systems using a Neuro-fuzzy Network

  • Neuro-fuzzy network that combined advantages of the neural network in learning and fuzzy system in inferencing can be used to establish a system model in the design of a controller. In this paper, we presented the neuro-fuzzy system that can be able to generated a linguistic fuzzy model which results in a similar input/output response to the original system. The network was used to model a system. We tested the performance ot the neuro-fuzzy network through computer simulations.
