재배기간이 짧은 갈색 팽이버섯 신품종 '금향'의 육성 및 특성 (Characteristics and breeding of a new brown variety 'Geumhyang' with short cultivation period in Flammulina velutipes)

  • 팽이버섯 신품종 '금향'은 '갈뫼'와 수집 야생균주인 'CBMFV-33'으로부터 분리한 단포자를 교배함으로써 육성된 품종으로, 갓 색이 진한 미색을 나타내며, 재배기간이 짧다. 병재배 시 배양 기간은 23일, 초발이 소요일수는 7일, 생육일수는 17일로 총재배기간이 47일이 소요되어 대조품종 '갈뫼'에 비해 7일이 단축되었다. 갓 직경은 '갈뫼'에 비해 크고, 갓 색은 진한 미색을 나타냈다. 수량은 850 ml 병 당 162 g으로 '갈뫼' 대비 8% 증수되었다. 또한 야생 팽이버섯처럼 식미감도 우수하여, 차별화된 색과 맛으로 백색 팽이버섯의 틈새시장 공략에 유리할 것으로 판단된다.

심층신경망을 이용한 농업기상 정보 생산방법 (Production of agricultural weather information by Deep Learning)

  • 기상은 농작물 재배에 많은 영향을 미친다. 농작물 재배지의 기상정보는 효율적인 농작물 재배 및 관리에 필수적이다. 농업기상 정보의 높은 수요에도 불구하고 이에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 본 연구는 중장기 계절예측정보인 GloSea5와 심층 신경망을 통해 양파의 주산지인 전라남도의 농업기상 정보 생산 방법을 다룬다. 연구방법으로는 매일 생산되는 GloSea5 기상정보를 훈련시키기 위해 슬라이딩 창 방법을 활용한 심층신경망 모형이 사용되었다. 모형의 정확도평가는 농업기상관측소의 일 평균기온과 GloSea5 예측값 그리고 딥러닝 예측값 차이의 RMSE와 MAE로 계산하였다. 심층신경망 모형은 학습기간이 늘어날수록 정확도가 향상되므로 학습기간과 예측기간에 따른 예측성능을 비교하였다. 분석결과 학습기간과 예측기간은 비례하지만 계절변화에 따른 추세성이 반영되는 한계점이 있었다. 이를 보안하기 위해 예측값과 관측값의 차이를 다음날 예측값에 적용시킨 후보정 심층신경망 모형을 제시하였다.

일장 및 온도처리가 관상용 Nicotiana species의 개화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Photoperiod and Temperature on Flowering Responses of Ornamental Nicotiana species)

  • Several growth characteristics of two ornamental tobacco species, Nicotiana sanderae and N. affinis, were investigated in this study. Also effect of temperature and daylength on the flowering of the tobacco plants were evaluated to obtain basic information on breeding and cultivation. 1. The plants were great in high temperature-long day at the early stage and in low temperature-short day at the late stage of plant growth, for both Nicotana species. At the early growth stage the leaf length N. sanderae was great in high temperature-long day, and that of N. affinis was great in high temperature-short day period, while at the late stage of the plant growth the leaf lengths were more significantly effected by the temperature rather than daylength. Leaf width and leaf shape index were less sensitive to the conditions. 2. For both of the species, the total number of tobacco leaves not much influenced by the temperature and daylength. 3. There were no significant differences for budding and flowering period between the two species, both of which were sensitive to temperature and daylength with more influence by daylength than temperature. 4. Number of floral stalks, number of flower and flowering period were not much influenced by temperature and daylength; however, N. affinis had 2 more floral stalks, 31 more flowers, and 6 day longer flowering period than N. sanderae.

Growth Characteristics And Yield of Corn (Zea mays L.) for Grain by Early Sowing Date in the Central Region of South Korea

  • The limit of crop cultivation is moving northward due to the temperature rise by climate change. There is a problem with crop growth if early sowing is performed at a time when the temperature is low. It is difficult to secure crop productivity and cultivation stability due to the low temperature and short cultivation period. Therefore, this study was conducted to analyze the change in growth characteristics and yield of corn for grain when early sowing is performed in central region of South Korea. This experiment was conducted at experimental field of Suwon in 2021. Three varieties of corn for grain such as Kwangpyeongok, Sinhwangok, and Hwangdaok were sown at intervals of 5 days from 20 March to 15 April. The planting density at this time was sown with a row interval of 70 cm and a plant interval of 25 cm. Nitrogen, phosphoric acid, and potassium fertilizers were applied at 17.4 kg, 3.0 kg, and 6.9 kg per 10a, respectively. Phosphoric acid and potassium fertilizers were all applied before sowing and nitrogen fertilizer was applied 50% before sowing and 50% in the fifth leaf period. The corn growth characteristics and yield components were investigated. The seedling establishment rate by sowing date was in the range of 68.5~88.5%, and it showed a difference depending on the variety. The range of days from sowing to tassel and silk emergence by sowing date was 79.9~98.4 and 81.0~98.9 days, respectively. As the sowing date was delayed, the days from sowing to tassel and silk emergence decreased. The growth characteristics and yield of corn by sowing date are as follows. Plant height was the highest at 241.3 cm at the sowing on 25 March, and Stalk diameter was the thickest at 25.6 mm at the sowing on 31 March. The fresh weight per plant was the highest at 728 g at the sowing on 25 March, and the dry weight per plant was the highest at 185 g at the sowing on 31 March. Corn growth characteristics did not show a certain trend depending on the sowing date, and corn growth was more vigorous at the sowing on March 25 and 31 than the others. In the case of ear weight, it was the heaviest with 344 g at the sowing on 25 March, and filled ear length ratio showed a tendency to decrease as the sowing time was delayed. The weight of 100 grains and grain yield per 10a of maize were the highest at 36.0g and 878.7kg/10a, respectively at the sowing on 25 March. Although the growth and yield of corn for grain were good during early sowing in the central region of South Korea, it is necessary to investigate the limit temperature for early sowing of corn by examining the annual variation according to weather conditions.

염류축적 토양에서 몇 가지 채소의 토양 염류 제염 효과 (Desalinized Effect of Some Vegetable Crops in Salinized Soil)

  • 본 연구는 몇 가지 채소(비트, 쑥갓, 상추, 케일, 무, 시금치, 단옥수수, 토마토)의 제염효과를 알아보기 위해 인위적으로 처리한 염류 집적 토양에서 재배후 작물 생육과 토양내 염류 함량을 조사하였다. 채소작물별 초장으로 본 생육은 EC $5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$의 염류토양에서 상추와 쑥갓의 생육이 가장 크게 억제되었다. EC $5dS{\cdot}m^{-1}$수준의 염류토양에서 EC 잔존율은 토마토, 옥수수, 케일 순으로 낮았으며 비료 성분별 제염효과는 $NO_3의 경우는 옥수수, 토마토, 케일, K는 옥수수, 토마토, 비트, $P_2O_5$는 옥수수와 토마토가 가장 우수하였다. 제염효과는 재배기간이 60일이었던 토마토, 옥수수가 가장 우수하였으나, 염류토양 재배시 수확물의 상품성 저하와 재배시기 주작물 재배시기와 겹치는 문제가 있고, 생체중당 제염효과는 낮았다. 이에 반해 케일은 재배기간 30일로 짧고, 생육억제효과가 적으며, 생체중당 제염효과가 가장 우수하여 제염효과가 있는 전작 작물로 적합하리라 사료된다.

수도 품종간의 필요수량 차이에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Consumptive Use of Irrigated Water in Paddy Rice)

  • This experiment was conducted to find out the consumptive use of irrigated water for calculation of duty water in paddy rice. Tall statured Japonica rice varieties, Nongbaek (early), Jinheung (medium) and Akibare (late), and short statured Tongil typed varieties, Josaeng Tongil(early), Suweon 264 (medium) and Suweon 258(late) were planted on the experimental farm of Kon-Kuk University in 1979. The results obtained in this study were as follows: 1. During the experimental period, the daily mean temperature was almost similar, the relative humidity was higher as much as 2.8%, the amount of rain fall was 100mm less and the pan evaporation was 70mm less compared with those of 30 years average, respectively. 2. The paddy soil was silty loam, which was suitable for the rice cultivation. 3. Varietal differences were find out for plant height, culm length, number of tillers, number of panicles, heading date, matured grain ratio, 1000-grain weight and rough rice yield. This difference might he the cause of varietal difference of the consumptive use of irrigated water during the rice growing period. 4. The evapotranspiration was gradually increased after transplanting and showed the peak from booting to heading stage of rice varieties. The average evapotranspiration through the whole growing period was 5.67-5. 80mm/day for tall statured Japonica varieties, and 5.99-6. 39mm/day for short statured Tongil typed varieties. 5. The ratio of evapotranspiration to pan-evaporation through the whole growing period was 1.49-1.50 for Japonica varieties, and 1.60-1.66 for Tongil typed varies. 6. Average amount of percolation in paddy field was 3. 62mm/day through the whole growing period of rice plant. 7. K-value in Blaney & Criddle formula was 0.94-0.98 for Japonica varieties and 1.02-1.08 for Tongil typed varieties, and coefficient consumptive water use (Kc-value) was 0.95-1.02 for Japonica varieties and 1.04-1.12 for Tongil typed varieties in this study. 자실체 발생이 안정적인 꽃송이버섯 신품종 '한여울' (Characteristics of a New Sparassis latifolia Variety, "Hanyeoul", with Stable Pinheading)

  • 버섯의 편중재배 현상을 줄이고 경쟁력있는 품목을 육성하기 위해 재배기간이 짧고, 발이가 안정적이며, 수량이 높은 꽃송이버섯을 개발하고자 하였다. 2016년부터 국내외에서 유전자원을 수집하고 교배하여, 특성검정 및 생산력 검정, 농가실증을 통해 육성된 꽃송이버섯 신품종 '한여울'의 주요 특성은 다음과 같다. 균사생장적온은 22~25℃, 발이 및 생육온도는 19~21℃로 대조품종(너울)과 유사하였다. 재배일수는 생산력 검정(병재배)에서 125일로 대조품종 대비 39일, 농가실증(봉지재배)에서 98~102일로 대조품종 대비 9~12일 짧게 나타났다. 갓 색은 연황백색으로 대조품종과 유사하였고, 갓 끝부분의 형태는 수국형으로 갓의 굴곡 간격이 대조품종 대비 넓었다. 발이율은 생산력 검정(병재배)에서 93.7%, 농가실증(봉지재배)에서 90.2~90.9%로 대조품종 대비 안정적이었다. 수량은 생산력 검정(병재배)에서 1,100 cc(Ø75 mm)병 기준으로 79.1 g 대조품종 대비 22.6%, 농가실증(봉지재배)에서 2.6 kg봉지 기준으로 641.1~689.5 g로 대조품종 대비 5.8~10.4% 높았다. 모본 및 대조품종과 대치배양 시 대치선이 뚜렷하고, 균사체 DNA PCR반응 결과 밴드패턴이 모본 및 대조품종과 다른 양상을 보여 서로 다른 품종임을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 발이율이 높고 재배기간을 단축할 수 있는 꽃송이버섯 품종을 육성하였으며, 맞춤형 재배기술 개발에 대한 지속적인 연구와 관심, 그리고 농가보급이 이어지길 기대한다.

Comparison of Methane Emissions by Rice Ecotype in Paddy Soil

  • South Korea greenhouse gas emissions have increased year by year, resulting in a total emission of 727.6 million tons of CO2 eq in 2018, a 2.5% increase compared to 2017. Among them, the agricultural sector emitted 21.2 million tons of CO2 eq., accounting for 2.9% of the total. Among the greenhouse gases emitted from the agricultural sector, a particularly problematic is methane gas emitted from rice paddies. Methane is one of the important greenhouse gases with a global warming potential (GWP) that is about 21 times higher than that of carbon dioxide due to its high infrared absorption capacity despite its relatively short remaining atmospheric period. Since the pattern of methane generation varies depending on the rice variety and ecological type, research related to this is necessary for accurate emission calculation and development of reduction technology. Accordingly, a study was conducted to find out the changes in greenhouse gas emission according to rice varieties and ecology types. As for the rice eco-type cultivar, early maturing cultivar (Haedamssal) and medium-late rice cultivar (Saeilmi) were used. Haedamssal was transplanted on May 25 and June 25, and Saeilmi was transplanted on June 10 and June 25. The amount of methane generated according to the growing day showed a tendency to increase as the planting period was earlier. The difference between varieties was that Haedamssal showed higher methane production than Saeilmi. The total CH4 flux in the saeilmi was 18.7 kg·h-1(Jun 10 transplanting), 12.4 kg·h-1(Jun 25 transplanting) during rice cultivation. Lower methane emission was observed in Saeilmi than in Haedam rice. In addition, the earlier the planting period, the higher the methane emission. This study is the result of the first year of research, and it is planned to investigate the amount of greenhouse gas emission between double cropping and single cropping using wheat cultivation after harvest for each ecological type.

Effect of Sowing Dates on Agronomic Traits and Quality of Seed for Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] in Southern Area of Korea

  • Owing to adverse weather conditions, there is a heightened focus on actively researching the regulation of the sowing date in field crop cultivation. Soybean, a prominent field crop with extensive acreage and production, is a photophilic and thermophilic crop characterized by short-day photoperiodism. Identifying the optimal sowing time is crucial for mitigating the effects of severe weather conditions on soybean yield. Precise control over the timing of soybean sowing is the key to minimizing yield reduction due to unfavorable weather conditions. Temperature, photoperiod, and their interplay are the most significant factors influencing soybean cultivation among various weather factors. We conducted an experiment using three Korean soybean cultivars with varied maturities (Hwangkeumol: early maturing and Daewonkong and Pungsannamulkong: late maturing) in 2013 and 2014. Our investigation covered aspects of soybean growth, development, yield components, isoflavones, and visual seed quality. Across all three varieties, isoflavone levels increased with later sowing dates, while other measured components exhibited significant variations based on the sowing date. This study also provides valuable insights for the selection of suitable cultivars that perform well in soybean cultivation at various durations of maturity.

표고 톱밥재배용 무포자 신품종 '대담' 육성 및 특성 (Characteristics of newly bred spore-less cultivar Lentinula edodes 'Daedam' for sawdust cultivation)

  • 표고 톱밥재배용 무포자 품종의 육성을 위해 수집균주 중 우량계통의 단포자 교배를 통해 육성된 '대담'의 주요 특성은 다음과 같다. '대담'의 균사생장 적온은 22~.25℃, 발이 및 생육온도는 16~18℃이었으며, 자실체 형태는 평반구형이며 갓을 형성하지 않는 무포자품종이다. '대담'은 배양기간이 21일, 갈변기간 96일로 대조품종('화담')과 유사하였고, 발이기간은 5일, 생육기간은 9일로 전체 재배기간은 134일로 같았다. '대담'의 개체중은 32.4g으로 대조품종과 유사하였고, 유효개체수는 6.8개로 대조품종 보다 1.3개 낮았으며, 총수량은 222g으로 대조품종의 266g에 비해 낮았다. '대담'의 자실체는 대조품종 대비 갓이 두껍고, 갓 직경은 다소 작았으며, 대의 굵기는 작고 긴 특성을 보였다. '대담'의 배지형태별 생산성 분석결과, 1.2kg 원통형 배지에서 생물학적 효율이 26.7%로 3kg 봉형배지보다 높았으며, '하나참'와 비교 시 재배기간이 40일 짧고 수량도 유사하여, 단기 재배용 품종으로 활용이 가능할 것으로 생각된다.
