This paper mainly focuses on the system quality factors of a website targeted at shopping mall websites in China and Korea. We categorized six system quality factors and formulated hypotheses regarding how those six factors are different. We also conducted an empirical study to verify hypotheses. Statistical data for an empirical study targeted at undergraduate students in Korea and China, having filled in a questionnaire. Reliability of the collected data was measured, and a T-test of the established hypotheses was carried out. The following describes the results that were found. While the shopping mall websites of two countries showed a difference in terms of quick transition of the web pages or images, ease of use, reliability, and accessibility, they did not show the difference in term of accuracy and the short cut function. We analyzed the causes of the verified results and suggested a strategy to implement the effective shopping mall web sites.

The data were collected via a self-administered questionnaire from 204 male and female students who experienced shopping for apparel on Internet shopping malls, living in Cheju and analyzed by factor analysis, multiple regression analysis, t-test and paired t-test. Two predictors were found regarding purchase of apparel on the "big box" Internet shopping malls which sells various product categories; apparel quality and fun of order process. On the speciality Internet shopping malls which sells only fashion goods, diverse apparel assortment and easy handling and fun of information search were identified as predictors of apparel purchase. Reasons that respondents didn′t have purchase intention of apparel on Internet shopping malls were summarized and labeled as: difficulty of decision making due to virtual shopping environment, insufficiency of diverse apparels, users′ unease handling, risk of incredible apparel quality, unfamiliarity of Internet shopping and risks of unsecurity. Difficulty of decision making due to virtual shopping environment was determined as the most important factor of reasons that respondents didn′t have purchase intention of apparels in website.
In the beginning of the Web history, the main function and importance of the Internet was focused on the content of the data. However, that focus has been switched to the search engines because of the abundant, humongous amount of data that are spread all over the globe. The Webmasters are now implying flasy, beautiful graphics and newly developed technologies to make their websites attract the Internet users. The significant change was mainly caused by the companies that thought cyber shopping malls were going to be very simple and profitable. They believed that the decreasing prices of hardware and easy-to-use software were going to attract the potential customers, resulting in a new, massive market. A website needs to be extremely captivating and attractive, in order to bring in new customers and induce them to return. The Webmaster has to devise methods to find out what kinds of contents would bring in a bigger audience, as well as checking the validity and correctness of the contents. In the thesis, the necessity and concept of a personalized Internet shopping mall will be discussed through the theoretical examination of the one-to-one marketing and the concept of the current shopping malls. The scheme of the personalized shopping mall will be presented, which will encourage the formation of loyal customers, in the ever-growing competitiveness of the marketing environment, by satisfying their wants faster and more precisely.
Social commerce is a kind of internet shopping mall in which consumers purchase the products with other consumers through mutual interactions including the development of SNS(social network service). Social commerce has expanded rapidly as a mainstream online shopping mall over the past five years driving consumers to purchase more fashion products providing the cheaper prices than open market internet shopping mall. The purpose of this study is to identify the important parameters of social commerce characteristics and consumer characteristics that affect repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. A 221 survey questionnaire was distributed to men in their 20's and 30's who live in Seoul metropolitan area. The data were analyzed utilizing Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, factor analysis, and regression analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program. The results revealed, first, that in terms of social commerce characteristics, three variables(website reputation, interactivity, and product scarcity) influenced repurchase intention. Among them, website reputation identified as the most important factor influencing repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. Second, with regard to consumer characteristics, interest and a tendency toward impulse buying affected the repurchase intention, and interest and internet shopping experience have influenced the word-of-mouth intention. Among three variables interest in social commerce identified as the key factor affecting both repurchase intention and word-of-mouth intention. The results of the study provide the practical implications and suggest the business strategies to enhance social commerce in the future by identifying the key social commerce characteristics and consumer characteristics that influence male consumers' buying behaviors.
This study investigates the effectiveness of fashion coordination presentation formats when people buy apparel products online. This study conducted an online survey with 595 females who shopped online at the simulated website by a single apparel plan picture (n=189), coordination plane picture (n=187), and 3-D coordination image (n=216). For data analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, MANCOVA, ANOVA, Duncan test, correlation analysis, and chi-square are used. The results of this study are: First, the hedonic shopping value was significantly the highest when respondents shopped at a 3-D coordination image shopping mall, the next highest-scored presentation type was the coordination plane picture, and the case of presenting only the single apparel picture was significantly the lowest. The utilitarian shopping value and information shopping value were higher in the coordination plane picture and the 3-D coordination image shopping mall than the single apparel picture. Second, transactions satisfaction was high when respondents shopped at a 3-D coordination image, coordination plane image, and single apparel image in decreasing order.
Internet shoppers interact with Internet shopping mall systems while they shop. To understand why Internet shoppers make purchase, this study view Internet shopping malls as information systems. Although this view point seems reasonable, little previous studies employing this perspective are found in the relevant literature. This study develops a research model where Internet shoppers' transaction intentions are affected by the mediating effects of trust and satisfaction. Trust can mitigate uncertainty of the e-commerce environment for consumers, and satisfaction is widely used to measure the effectiveness of information systems. Therefore, we consider them as key elements in this study. We further employ the construct of website quality to explain why shoppers have different levels of trust and satisfaction. We classify website quality into information quality, system quality. and design quality. We collected 282 survey responses from Internet shoppers who have prior experiences with Internet shopping malls to purchase a product or service. The survey data are used to empirically test the proposed nine research hypotheses using LISREL. The LISREL results indicate that information quality and design quality have significant impact on both satisfaction and trust, while system quality has little relation to trust level. Further, trust is shown to have significant influence on satisfaction. Finally. both trust and satisfaction is strongly related to the future transaction intention.
