표민대화(漂民對話)의 조선학적 고찰(표류선박(漂流船舶)의 선형(船型) 추정(推定)) (The Naval Architectural Examination on "Pyomindaehwa" (Presumption of the Type of Drifting Ship))

  • Pyomindaehwa is a study book written in Korean and it takes a form of an investigation document made up of a conversation between Chosen's castaways and an interpreter taking place in Naesirogawa and Satsuma on the south end of Kyushu, Japan in the 19th century. This book is in three volumes. Many terminologies such as timber parts, sail, rigging and equipment have been shown in the last volume, which is mainly about a repairing process of drifting ship. Especially, timber parts' terminologies including hull's term were schematized in Kumamoto Text(1854b). This study have attempted to find out Naval architectural clues helping estimate actual drifting ship's type and bulk on the evidence of the contents. Based on the studies, it is possible to presume the type of Korean boats and ships, which are similar with the ones from database of 21 traditional fishing boats in the report on Investigation of Korean fishing boats studied previously. This paper has shown the logical process of presumption of types of boats.

선체 운동을 고려한 ROV 케이블의 연성 동력학 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of ROV Cable with the Coupling of Ship Motion)

  • 최근 해양 자원 확보의 중요성이 증대됨에 따라 이들 자원의 탐사 및 해양 연구에 필요한 심해 잠수정의 개발이 국내에서 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 ROV 진수 시 파랑 하중에 의해 발생하는 ROV 케이블의 장력 변화에 대한 정량적 평가를 수행하였다. ROV carrier는 국내에서 운용 중인 온누리호를 모델로 하였으며, 파도에 의해 발생하는 선체 운동 해석 결과를 토대로, 이들 운동에 의해 발생하는 케이블의 장력을 선체. A-frame 및 ROV의 물리적, 기하학적 특성을 고려한 연성 동력학 해석을 통해 구하였다. 해석은 유한 요소 해석을 기반으로 하는 조화 가진 해석을 수행하였고, 선체 운동은 선수파와 횡파에 대해 각각의 해석 결과를 도출하였다.

연속식 하역기 텐션바의 임계 균열을 고려한 잔존수명 예측 및 검사 주기 선정 (Prediction of Remaining Life Time and Determination of Inspection Cycle Considering Critical Crack in Tension Bar of Continuous Ship Unloader)

  • The Continuous Ship Unloader (CSU) is an equipment that unloads freight from the ship docked in the port to the land. And the design target life time is designed to be 30 to 50 years, and it is classified as a semi-permanent large facility. However, cracks may occur due to structural defects, abnormal loads, and corrosion, and fatigue failure may occur before the design life is reached. In this study, we predicted the remaining life time of the main component of the CSU considering crack. And also proposed inspection cycle for maintenance of CSU based on the results of the remaining life time prediction. For this purpose, the structure, operational stresses of the CSU were analyzed and main members were selected. And tensile tests and fatigue crack propagation tests were performed with SM490YA and SM570TMC, which are used as main materials for CSU.

국제기준에 의한 ECDIS 인증방안 고찰 (An Investigation of ECDIS Type Approval based on International Standard)

  • Electronic navigation system onboard have have been developed with recent technology based on new concept such as electronic chart date. The most valuable system of revolution in electronic navigation equipment is ECDIS, which have been developed in order to reduce work load of mariner and give an integrated information by simple means, especially to improve the safety of ship's navigation. In order to be sure the function of ECDIS is satisfied, The international standard have regulated the performance in the standard, so ECDIS should be type approved by the marine equipment authority of each government. There are three basic documents, IEC61174, IEC61162, IEC60945 issued by IMO(International Maritime Organization) which should be used for type approval system of each authority. IEC 61174 include the method of test and required results for operational and functional performance of test equipment. IEC61162 is for sensor interface and IEC60945 is related to the test of environmental condition for general marine radiocommunication equipment. In this paper, we investigate international standard in detail and current approval system of general marine equipment. After that, we present the possible structure of type approval of ECDIS and important considerations of approval system such that ECDIS should be tested as one system not be separated between S/W and H/W.

충격하중하의 탑재장비 프레임 지지구조의 탄성마운트 배치 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimal Arrangement of Resilient Mount installed on Frame Support Structure at Shipboard Equipment under Shock Load)

  • Shipboard equipment in naval ships should be designed to be safe under the shock load. Very high stress due to the shock load can be effectively reduced by the resilient mounts considering the mount capacity and dynamic characteristics. An optimum arrangement of resilient mount installed to absorb the shock energy is addressed to assess the safety of ship structure and shipboard equipment subjected to the shock load. Structural responses are analyzed for both frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment subject to the shock load with and without the resilient mounts. The shock absorbability of the resilient mount is evaluated by the results of structural response analysis; meanwhile, several types of shock analyses considering the arrangement of resilient mounts are carried out and the shock responses are compared to verify the effect of the arrangement. Thereafter, optimum arrangements are obtained by means of Genetic algorithm (GA) considering the different capacities of resilient mount. Stress, deformation and dynamic feature at the frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment under the shock load are also discussed in order to meet the capacity of resilient mount.

  • This paper deal with development of dredging equipment that proper water head elimination method changing transitional dredging method. Numerical simulation and model test were accomplished for development of seabed sediment inhalation equipment using water head. Sediment elimination system by the difference of water head has been analysed by numerical method. Model test was achieved for inhalation equipment performance test using water head by primary design. Also sediment elimination system has designed and developed that doesn't occur secondary pollution phenomenon. To verify the numerical results are compared with experimental results.

FPSO의 선행의장률 향상을 위한 생산관리 및 공법개선 사례연구 (Process Improvements for Elevating Pre-outfitting Rate of FPSO)

  • Generally, functional design of FPSO has been done by the engineering firm designated by ship owner. Main equipment such as topside facility is imported from abroad. But sometimes, OFE (Owner Furnished Equipment) does not satisfy the PND (Product Need Date) of each production stage because the delivery date of OFE is not scheduled to satisfy the PND. And sometimes many loose items and equipment are complex from engineering which does not consider pre-outfitting. Main objective of this study is process improvements by maximizing pre-outfitting rate in the stage of equipping STP (Submerged Turret Production), one of main equipment on FPSO. In this study, we analyzed the factors which obstructed pre-equipping STP using the past records of FPSO projects.

  • Recently, as the feasibility study shows that trans-Korea railway and trans-continental railway are advantageous, interest in high-speed railway system is increasing. Because railway vehicle is environment-friendly and safe compared with airplane and ship, its market-sharing increases gradually. KHST(Korean High Speed Train) has been developed by KRRI (Korea Railroad Research Institute) for last 6 years to satisfy the need. An electric railway system is composed of high-tech subsystems, among which main electric equipment such as transformers and converter are critical components determining the performance of rolling stock. We developed a measurement system for on-line test and evaluation of performances of KHST. The measurement system is composed of software part and hardware part. Perfect interface between multi-users is possible. A now method to measure temperature was applied to the measurement system. By using the system, fault diagnosis and performance evaluation of electric equipment in Korean High Speed Train was conducted during test running.

A new mount with moving-magnet type electromagnetic actuator for naval shipboard equipment

  • This study is proposed a new hybrid mount having a moving-magnet type electromagnetic actuator to reduce the vibration transmitted from naval shipboard equipment to the structure of the ship's hull. Optimal design specifications are determined through experimental analysis. The detailed design of the hybrid mount is determined through several design steps with electromagnetic numerical analysis using Maxwell Software(S/W). The hybrid mount that combines a rubber mount and an electromagnetic actuator has a fail-safe function for shock resistance. The mount is fabricated and tested using a universal testing machine to evaluate the design specifications. Finally, numerical simulation of the hybrid mount is performed to confirm control performance and applicability.

  • 사람의 청각에 영향을 미치는 구역에 설치된 가전용품 및 기계에서 발생하는 소음을 저감하는 것은 중요하다. 특히 선박의 기관실에서 발생하는 소음은 저감이 불가능한 것으로 알려져 개선의 정도가 미미할 뿐 아니라 작업자의 청력손실이 발생하는 최악의 작업환경에 놓여져 있는 실정이다. 그러나 최근에 발전되고 있는 모니터링설비와 지능제어시스템을 이용하면 기관실의 주 엔진을 개방 해 둘 필요가 없어지게 되었다. 따라서 주 엔진의 주변을 흡음 및 차음벽으로 차단하여 기관실의 소음을 개선할 수 있는 계기가 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 소음을 흡수할 수 있는 차음벽의 성능을 높이기 위해 헬름홀츠 공영기의 원리를 적용한 흡음벽에 대하여 연구하였다.
