성교육에 따른 중학생의 남녀평등의식 변화 (The Changes in Gender-Egalitarianism after Sexuality Education in Middle School Students)

  • Purpose: In an attempt to measure the changes in gender-egalitarianism after sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism in middle school students, this study was carried out. Methods: The subjects were 137 students (67 boys and 70 girls) in 4 classes that were randomized from among 8 classes of first graders in a coeducational middle school, in Seoul. By the school nurse with the assistance of an advisory committee on sex education by the MOE, sexuality education was implemented based on gender-egalitarianism. The content was presented over 18 hours during 16 weeks, from September, 2001 to December, 2001. For the pre and post check on gender-egalitarianism, a Gender Egalitarianism Scale modified by the researcher was used. Results: After the sexuality education based on the gender-egalitarianism, there was a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism(t=4.378, p=0.000). There were no significant differences in the mean changes in gender-egalitarianism according to religion, economy level, educational level of parents, and openness of parents. And little experiences in adult video, no experience in masturbation, and being without the opposite sex were related to significant elevations in gender-egalitarianism. The case of the having the positive sexual attitudes showed a significant elevation in gender-egalitarianism as compared with the case of having negative sexual attitudes. Conclusions: Based on these results, sexuality education based on gender-egalitarianism for youth was effective in elevating gender-egalitarianism scores. Because the case of the wide experiences with sexual behaviors showed a tendency to make low gender-egalitarianism, the education program would be effective to implement early in the school as childhood is a period in which children have a non-established sex-role.

대학교양과정으로서 결혼준비교육의 성별에 따른 효과성 연구 (Gender and the Impact of Premarital Education Course among University Students)

  • This study focused on the gender differences in the impact of a premarital educational program as an elective course at a university. Six hundred university students who were enrolled in the course "Family and Marriage" at a university in Pusan were surveyed for this study The students completed the survey questionnaire about attitudes toward marriage, family, love, spouse, sexuality and gender-roles, before and after the course. The data were analyzed by correlation, 1-test, two-Way ANOVA. The results showed, first of all, there was no significant impact of the education on the students′ attitudes on marriage and family, when gender was not introduced as a factor. However, looking closely, there was an interaction between gender and the attitudes in the impact of the education. As a result, the gender gap in terms of the attitudes toward marriage and the family that existed before the course was reduced after the course. Also, there were gender differences in the attitudes toward love, spouse, sexuality, and gender-roles before and after the course, and there were significant impacts of the course for both genders, albeit in different directions.

  • The purpose of this study is to express the sexuality of feminism in the modern fashion. As for the methods of research, literary research was carried out using reference based on feminism history and sexuality concept and demonstrative analysis was undertaken using 2000's collections photographs. In the results of that, the sexuality of gender resistance feminism is featured by three key words: sado-masochism sexuality, bi sexuality and hetero sexuality. First, sado-masochism sexuality shows fetish look and dominatrix look shown in the strong attitudes. Sado-masochism sexuality is setting fetishes such as mask, whip, chain, metallic materials and tight leather boots. Second, bi sexuality presents mannish look of soft and feminie style's slim pants suit with ruffle, flounce and decorated detail blouse. and fetish look wearing of sexual symbol clothes such as corset and bustier. Third, hetero sexuality represent glamour look which exposure and emphasis of breasts, hips and other sexual symbols.

마돈나 의상에 나타난 젠더 정체성 - 뮤직비디오 텍스트를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Gender Identity in Madonna Costume - Focusing on the Music Video Texts -)

  • The purpose of this research is to understand the gender identity expressed in Madonna music video texts and performances. Madonna has reconstructed the fluid identities through the variations of body, images, costumes, and attitudes . The results are as fellows; ① Her punky sexuality is to be seen the flash trash look, kitsch fashion, which reconstructs a good/bad taste, modesty/immodesty, the relations of under/outer wear using bawdy sexuality through her early Virgin tour. ② Her Heterosexuality is to be seen the glamourous look, traditional images of women, which represents the passive feminity of patriarch. ③ Her sadomasochism sexuality is to be seen the bondage look of dominatrix image, which deconstructs sexual taboos; represents sexual power. ④ Her bisexuality is to be seen androgynous look, the 3rd species look using masculinity/feminity signifier, which deconstructs the stereotypes of gender roles. ⑤ Her homosexuality is to be seen the fetish fashion by drag and lesbian, which deconstructs the dichotomy of normality/perversion; opens a possibility of women subjectivity of sexual desires.

국내 뮤직비디오에 나타난 성역할 고정관념: 노래 장르와 성별 차이를 중심으로 (Gender Display in Music Videos: Gender Image and Sexuality by Genre and Gender)

  • 본 연구는 국내 뮤직비디오에 나타난 성역할 고정관념의 재현과 구성방식을 알아보기 위해 젠더 이미지 및 선정성 유형과 관련하여 내용분석을 시도했다. 이를 위해 2004년부터 2013년까지의 각 연도별로 뮤직비디오가 있는 30위까지의 노래 총 300개와 각 노래의 뮤직비디오 상에서 주요 역할을 하는 남녀 한명씩, 총 517명의 등장인물이 선정되었다. 등장인물에 대한 성역할 고정관념은 노래 장르와 성별로 구분하여 젠더 이미지의 유형과 선정성(신체노출, 성적표현)의 유무로 측정되었다. 젠더 이미지는 여성은 고전적 이미지가 가장 많이 나타났고 남성은 순정적 이미지가 가장 많이 나타났다. 여성의 이미지는 거의 변화가 없었고 남성 이미지의 경우 중성적 이미지는 가장 적었으나 증가하는 추세를 보여주었다. 고전적 이미지가 가장 많이 나타난 장르는 R&B와 발라드였고 순정적 이미지가 가장 많이 나타난 장르는 발라드, R&B와 록이었다. 선정성은 댄스곡과 힙합에서 더 많이 나타났다. 신체노출에 있어서 여성은 모든 부위에서 남성보다 더 높은 비율로 나타났다. 성적표현에 있어서 여성은 표정유혹이 남성은 성적자세가 상대적으로 많이 나타나 성역할 고정관념이 뚜렷하게 나타났다.

성 관련 강좌 이수 전후 대학생들의 성 고정관념과 성 태도의 변화 (Th e Effect of Sexuality Course on Sex - Role Stereotypes and Sexual Attitude in University Students)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was 1) to classify university student's attitudes toward sex, 2) to confirm the effects of sexuality course on sex-role stereotypes and sexual attitude in university student s. Method : The subjects in this study were 212 K university students in Kangwon Province between 3/7/2001 $\sim$ 6/13/2001. The instruments used for this study were the general characteristics, sexual attitude and sex-role stereotypes. The data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, paired t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, Factor analysis and Cronbach's $\alpha$ using the SPSS program. Result : 1. University students' attitude toward sex are divided into three types. Type I are called open mined : 16, 33, 28, 10, 18, 2, 30, 25, 26, 27, 22, 19, 29, 21, 9, 5 items. Type II are supporters of virginal purity : 8, 6, 31, 17, 14, 33 items. Type III express love through sexual intercourse : 20, 24, 7, 3, 15, 32 items. 2. There was a significant difference in the appearance and occupational characteristics of sex-role stereotypes before and after the sexuality course (t=2.562, p<.05). 3. In Type III, there was a significant difference in sexual attitude before and after the sexuality course (t=3.576, p<.0001). 4. The data showed the relationships between type III of sexual attitude and sex-role stereotypes (r=-.3 15, p<.0001). 5. Sex-role stereotypes according to the demographic characteristics before sexuality course were significantly different by age, gender, experience of military service, experience of sex edu cat ion an d experience of sexual intercourse. Sex-role stereotypes according to the demographic characteristics after sexuality course were significantly different by gender and experience of sexual intercourse. 6. Sexual attitude according to the demographic characteristics before sexuality course were significantly different by maj or (type I), age, grade, experience of military service and experience of sexual intercourse (type II), age, grade, gender, experience of military service, experience of sex education and experience of sexual intercourse. Sexual attitude according to the demographic characteristics after sexuality course were significantly different by religion and major(type I), age and grade(type II), age, grade, gender, religion and experience of sexual intercourse. Conclusion : This study showed that a sexuality course was effect ive in changing the sex-role stereotypes and sexual attitude of university students.

포괄적 성교육 개념에 근거한 나다움어린이책의 젠더감수성 분석 (Analysis of the Concepts Underpinning Comprehensive Sexuality Education in Nadaum Children's Books)

  • 젠더감수성은 성 역할 발달 초기 단계인 아동기부터 고려되어야 할 개념이다. 이에 유네스코는 '포괄적 성교육 가이드라인(Comprehensive Sexuality Education)'을 발표한 바 있다. 한편, 국내에서는 여성가족부가 아동기 젠더감수성 증진을 위해 '나다움어린이책'을 선정하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 나다움어린이책 속에서 포괄적 성교육의 개념들이 얼마나 다루어지고, 어떤 방식으로 표현되는지를 유네스코 가이드라인을 기반으로 분석하는 데 있다. 분석 대상은 저학년 아동을 위해 선정된 101권의 나다움어린이책이다. 연구 방법으로는 내용분석과 중심주제분석을 선택하였다. 구체적으로, 도서에 나타난 포괄적 성교육 개념의 양적 출현비율과 도서가 내포하고 있는 젠더감수성 가치를 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면, 나다움어린이책에서 가장 빈번히 나타난 포괄적 성교육 개념은 '가족 구성원의 역할과 책임' 및 '관용, 포용, 존중의 가치'였다. 반면 '사춘기' 및 '성과 임신을 위한 건강' 등의 개념은 다뤄지지 않았다. 질적 분석 결과에서는 나다움어린이책이 젠더감수성의 가치를 추구하는 행동과 그 가치가 실현되는 과정을 주로 묘사하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 국제적 기준에 부합되는 젠더감수성 증진 아동 도서에 관한 비판적 담론이 활성화될 것을 기대한다.

여대생의 성폭력 태도유형의 판별 요인 (Discriminant Factors of Attitude Pattern toward Sexual Violence of College Women)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the discriminant factors of attitude pattern toward sexual violence of college women. Methods: A cross-sectional research design with non-probability samples was conducted. A total of 292 college women participated. The instruments were Attitude Pattern toward Sexual Violence, Self-Esteem Scale, Gender Role Scale, and Attitude toward Sexuality. Dependent variable is Attitude Pattern toward Sexual Violence, which is composed of two groups; cases either harmer blame or sufferer blame. Independent variables were self-esteem, attitude toward gender role, and attitude toward sexuality. Data were analyzed by SPSS WIN program and descriptive analysis, $x^2$-test, and discriminant analysis. Results: To assess the adequacy of classification, the overall hit ratio was 68.5%, and the significant predictor variable was attitude toward sexuality. Conclusion: Replication of the study needs to be considered to further enrich the specific knowledge base regarding attitude toward sexual violence among college women.

초등학생들의 인터넷 음란물 접촉과 성의식 (Viewing internet obscenity and sexuality awareness of elementary school students)

  • Purpose: To investigate the sexuality awareness of elementary school students according to viewing internet obscenity. Methods: The subject of this study was total 594 students of 6th grade at 3 primary schools in Gyunggi-do. The data were collected through a self-reporting questionnaire from December, 11 to December, 18, 2006. Results: 1. 19.2°% of respondents viewed internet obscenity. As for the first time they viewed it, 41.2% of respondents was when they were 6th grade students. Fifty percents of respondents viewed intemet obscenity accid ntly while surfing through the internet. As for the places where they viewed internet obscenity, 59.6% of respondents was at their house. Fifty percents of respondents answered that they felt no feeling after they viewed internet obscenity. There was a significant difference in viewing intemet obscenity according to gender. 2. The mean score of sexuality awareness was 46.4. There were significant differences in sexuality awareness according to gender, school record, and understanding about prohibition of the teenagers' viewing internet obscenity. Conclusion: We should provide lower grade students health education on internet obscenity preventive program at the home and school.

청소년기 및 초기 성인기의 성지식과 성인지 감수성에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Influencing Sexuality Knowledge and Gender Sensitivity During Adolescents and Early Adulthoods)

  • 연구목적 본 연구는 청소년기 및 초기 성인기 시기에 해당하는 국내 고등학생 및 대학생의 성지식과 성인지 감수성의 수준을 확인하고, 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하고자 하였다.. 방 법 2022년 7월부터 동년 12월까지 2개의 고등학교와 2개의 대학교(보건계열 전공 및 비보건계열 전공)를 대상으로 연구 참여에 동의한 129명의 설문 답변을 분석하였다. 연구 대상자의 성별, 연령, 전공 및 대상자들이 보고하는 수강한 성교육의 실용성, 교제 경험, 폭력 및 성적 피해 경험, 자아존중감의 수준과 성지식 및 성인지 감수성 수준을 각 집단 별로 확인하였다. 이후 성지식과 성인지 감수성에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하였다. 결 과 모든 연령과 집단에서 여성이 남성보다 성인지 감수성이 전반적으로 높게 나타났다(p=0.004). 청소년기 집단에 비해 초기 성인기 집단에서 성지식과 성인지 감수성 수준이 높았으며(p<0.001; p<0.001), 연령과 성지식, 성인지 감수성 수준 사이에 양의 상관관계가 나타났다. 또한 대학생 집단 중에서는 보건의료계열 전공자들이 비보건의료계열 전공자들에 비해 높은 성지식과 성인지 감수성 수준을 보고하였다(p<0.001; p=0.005). 결 론 본 연구에서 청소년기 및 초기 성인기에서 성별, 연령, 전공에 따라 성지식 및 성인지 감수성에 유의한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 연구 결과와 함께 최근 사회적으로 청소년기 및 초기 성인기의 디지털 성범죄 피해 및 가해 문제가 증가하는 상황을 감안할 때, 향후 성지식 및 성인지 감수성의 연령별, 성별, 전공별 차이를 고려하여 이들의 개선을 위한 정책의 수립이 필요하겠다.
