Purpose: The purpose of this research was to identify knowledge of, attitude toward, and the importance of, sexuality in the elderly. Method: By convenience sampling, 152 elderly people aged 60 and over who registered at 3 elderly schools located in W city were selected. Knowledge and attitude toward sexuality were measured with ASKAS. Perceived importance toward sexuality was measured with an instrument developed by the investigator. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation. Results: Elderly males, elderly couples, and elders perceiving themselves as healthy reported higher scores in knowledge on and the importance of sexuality. Elderly males, elders with higher education, and elders perceiving themselves as healthy showed a more acceptable attitude toward sexuality. The higher knowledge of sexuality, the more acceptable the sexuality. The higher knowledge of and more acceptable attitude toward sexuality, the higher significance of sexuality. Conclusions: Sexuality is an important issue in elderly life. To improve knowledge, positive views of sexuality, recognition of its importance, education and consulting programs on sexuality need to be developed, reflecting characteristics of the elderly. These programs should be provided not only to the elderly but also to people caring for the elderly and their families.
Over the last several decades, the debates on school sexuality education program have centered on the specific education topics and its in-depth to be taught for different level of students. Many people, on the whole, worried that sexuality education for the adolescents promote irresponsible sexuality activities and that students become more liberal following sex education(in all ways, not just sexually). At the present time, however, most social leaders agree that school sexuality education program should be developed and implemented as an important part of the formal school curriculum. Because they believe that sexuality education programs will be effective to change irresponsible sexual behavior and prevent sexual risk among teenagers. Researches demonstrate that not all school-based sexuality and AIDS education programs are effective, but that some programs are effective. On the basis of previous studies, the present paper reviewed the beliefs and questions which generate discussion and opposition to sexuality education program at the school. The effectiveness of the educational instruction was also evaluated focused on the reducing specific sexual risk behavior and reinforcement of individual values against sexuality activities. Lastly, this paper proposed several ways and means for effective sexuality education program in general.
Purpose: This study was to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and educational needs for sexuality of the elderly. Method: This was a descriptive study, in which data were collected from February to April 2002 from 354 elderly who were residing in Chung-Chung province. Result: 1. The level of knowledge regarding sexuality was below average. 2. The level of the attitudes toward sexuality of the elderly was neither positive nor negative. 3. The educational needs of the elderly were above average. 4. Higher level of knowledge on sexuality was significantly correlated with more positive attitudes and education needs for sexuality, and more positive attitudes toward sexuality was significantly correlated with more educational needs for sexuality. Conclusion: Particularly men, with good health, and those who were in intimate relationships with their spouses and still engaged with active sexual life showed somewhat higher level of knowledge and positive attitudes as well as higher educational needs. Therefore, further development and applying of sexuality promotion programs for healthy elder couples should be considered in the future to enhance the quality of life of elder population. In addition, it is also suggested to develop an alternative intervention program on sexuality for elderly who are women, those with meager health, and the bereaved.

Knowledges of sexuality for children was at a average level, especially "physical change of puberty" and "sexual violence" were well recognized but "the physical characteristics of male & female" and "physiological phenomena of men" were less recognized. Attitudes of sexuality were positive for "relationship with partners" and "expression of mind". Practices of sexuality were at a low rate in the case of "shaking hands with partner" and "experience of sexual behavior". The Value of sexuality was at a high rates in the case of "the role of sex", "equality" & "self-identification", therefore students need good education of sexuality from childhood 2. Sexuality education of students increased knowledges of sexuality as a consciousness. There was no relationship between attitudes and pratices of sexuality. Educated children valued sexuality move highly than uneducated children. This result shows that education is needed with regard to both the knowledge and value of sexuality in a planned system. We need some program to provide more information on sexual attitudes and practices. 3. There was a high correlation between the consciousness of sexuality and value placed on it. As sexual awareness increases amongst students codes of morality develop Positive sexual attitudes served as good role models for sex. In particular positive sexual attitudes have a big effect on sexual values. In addition, as sexual awareness and attitude increase amongst students the role of sexual development. The elementary school phase sexual values are developed and determined. It is therefore an important phase.

The methodology used in this study was the phenomenological method. Researcher conducted individual in-depth interviews with persons who had a Spinal Cord Injury. Six males were invited to participate in the study. The data were gathered from November 1999 to August 2000. The finding which emerged from this phenomenological study are as follow: 'Confusion state in shocking situation', 'Reflection on past sexual experience', 'Irresistible impulsive sexual desire', 'Psychological conflict caused by suppression of sexual appetite', 'Groping for a solution to sexual desire', 'Recognition of changed sexual function' and 'Confirmation of changed self'. The conclusion of this study are as follow: The sexuality mankind owns is the criteria of original and common difference in the society of mankind through the categorization of male and female into dichotomy. In fact, the mankind as an social animal is the existence by the sexuality, for the sexuality and of the sexuality. The sexuality has the meaning only within the relationship with the others. The sexuality has the meaning only in the inter-relationship and the sexuality itself in it is already the sexual relationship. Therefore, for the better life of the participants with the spinal cord injury, further understanding of the sexuality of the unmarried male with spinal cord injury is required.
This study examines the various types of consciousness about sexuality exhibited by girls' high school students. The analysis was carried out utilizing two subject groups with the first being academic course students and the second being vocational course students. A 51 question questionnaire was prepared based on a literature review and previous research. The questionnaire was developed based on the results of two preliminary surveys, a reliability test, and a correction. A total of 721 questionnaires were distributed to students of 3 vocational and 3 academic courses. The analysis of the results was carried out using by means of SPSS 10.0. The study generated conclusive findings about each groups' viewpoint toward sex, the actual condition of their relationship with members of the opposite sex, the passages of knowledge about sex, the content of current sexuality education at school and the ideal type of sexuality education. This study shows that the current standardized content of sexuality education is ineffective. Sexuality education at schools in South Korea has reached a point, where research for more effective sexuality education is required.
The purpose of this study is to reinterpret sexuality represented in fashion since the latter half of the 19th century in a contextual view, on the basis of Foucauldian idea of post-structural sexuality. As for research methodology, literary research was undertaken from the conception of sexuality to a historical review of the culture and dress. Foucault maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses in a specific historical context. In contextual approach sexual ideology codified in fashion since the latter 19C shows the following aspects: First, the traditional sexual ideology in the latter 19C is a capitalist value, which gives a priority to bourgeois man's profits, and the Victorian discourses of sexuality constructs the dichotomized fashion of the period. Next, the former half of the $20^{th}$ C is regarded as the period of conformity rather than opposition with various alternatives appropriated to the mainstream, so the traditional sexual ideology in fashion of this period is still preserved. Finally, in post-capitalism period of the latter 20C a variety of anti-fashion visualized plural sexuality from the enormous oppositional discourses. Although it doesn't all mean deconstruction of sexuality in fashion by the anti-fashion re-appropriated without oppositional meanings, pluralization of sexuality implies dynamics of sexual discourses in the next historical period. As a result, fashion since the latter 19C has been changed as a means for expressing age and sexual desire out of gender and class. And mainstream fashion in even postmodern period keeps the modern value on the center of the hegemonic heterosexual masculinity though the increase of Androgynous Femininity in women's fashion may connote the meaning of femininity. The plural sexuality represented in fashion has a contextual flexibility, thus sexuality floats with a specific socio-cultural context and fashion represents a masquerade as an identity vehicle.
The purpose of this study Is to reinterpret sexuality represented in modern fashion with the conception of plural sexuality from post-structuralism in socio-semiotic approach. It consists of two parts.: The first part provides the theoretical background and the methodological framework of this study. The second part ultimately accomplishes this study by empirical research, which is to infer plural sexuality articulated with fashion images in men's and women's popular fashion magazines in Korea since 2000 and sexual ideology signified in modern fashion. In this part the theoretical background was focused on the conception of sexuality on the basis of Foucault's idea, and then the framework for this study was made up from socio-semiotic perspective. The conception of sexuality in Foucauldian post-structural idea maintains the view of plural sexuality, which floats by power relationship between dominant and oppositional discourses in a specific historical context. Socio-semiotics suggests a contextual methodology to analyze the phenomena of material culture by articulating the range of material objects with that of ideology. The socio-semiotic model applied to sexuality represented in fashion is the framework of classifying into the several versions of fashion images from fashion as a material object and then inferring sexual ideology codified in them. In addition, three stages of producer/object/user in socio-semiotics were revised into 'dominant sexuality' with mainstream fashion out of dominant discourses,'oppositional sexuality' to create anti-fashion from oppositional discourses of subculture, and 'alternative sexuality' to be appropriated to dominant discourses by the mix of mainstream fashion and anti-fashion.
