  • Because sexual awareness is changing, I have tried to classify university students' attitudes toward sex. This study examined male and female university students and used a Q-method to measure these attitudes. Out of a total of 202, 33 statements were abstracted, and a P-sample of 1-7 parties consisting of 26 persons were studied. I Q-sorted the statements with a standard of 9 points for normal distribution and analyzed the data by means of a Principal Component Analysis with a Quan PC Program. According to the result of this research, university students' attitudes toward sex are divided into three types. Type 1 are called open-minded open: They may have a surgical abortion in case of an unexpected pregnancy and sexual intercourse occurs when a man and woman feel love for each other. They don't see sexual intercourse as a means reproduction nor virginal purity as unconditional. It is remarkable that these students regard sexual intercourse as a natural thing and sex as a basic desire of human beings. In short, they show an open-minded attitude toward sex. Type 2 are supporters of virginal purity; They regard virginal purity with great importance. They insist that both man and woman should be chaste but that sexual intercourse before marriage is unfavorable only to the woman. They do not believe in sexual intercourse without love and emphasize purity in sex education. Differen from type 1, they are very negative about surgical abortion. Type 3 experss love through sex. They belive that sexual intercourse makes a couple happy and a way to express their affection for each other. In other words, the relationship between man and woman is improved through sexual intercourse. They do not think of sexual intercourse in terms of childbirth.

  • Background: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a combination of chronic anovulation, obesity, and hyperandrogenism and can affect sexual function in women of reproductive age. It is also associated with endometrial cancer. Our aim was to evaluate the frequency and predisposing factors of sexual dysfunction in PCOS patients. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 16 married women with a definite diagnosis of PCOS were recruited. Sexual function was assessed in the domains of desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction and pain using the female sexual function index (FSFI) questionnaire. Patients were also assessed for mental health using the depression, anxiety and stress (DASS-21) questionnaire. Presence of hirsutism was assessed using the Ferriman-Gallwey (FG) scoring system. Demographic data were obtained from patients during in-person interview. Results: Sexual dysfunction was present in 62.5% of patients with the domains of arousal and lubrication particularly affected (93.8% and 87.5%, respectively). Patients with symptoms of depression and anxiety were significantly more likely to suffer sexual dysfunction than those without these symptoms (p=0.04 and p=0.03 respectively). Patients with stress symptoms reported higher orgasm dysfunction than those without (p=0.02). No significant difference in any of the FSFI score domains was observed between patients with and without hirsutism. Conclusions: PCOS patients markedly suffer from sexual dysfunction and therefore it seems appropriate to be screened for intervention. Poor mental health conditions that may be the result of infertility or other complications of PCOS should also be considered as curable causes of sexual dysfunction in these patients.

Methods: Convenient sampling was employed to recruit 152 participants. A self administered questionnaire was developed to explore adult females' understanding of sexual rights awareness. In the next phase, education was provided over 3 consecutive sessions to 28 female university students. Factor analysis and Cronbach's alpha were performed in order to test validity and reliability of the educational sessions. The Wilcoxon rank test was used to identify the differences between pretesting of sexual rights awareness knowledge and post testing after educational sessions was provided. Results: After conducting factor analysis, 5 factors explained 63.3% of the total variance, namely: I) sexuality education, II) prejudice & biasaberration, III) sexual satisfaction, IV) safe & equal sexuality, and V) sexual autonomy. A Cronbach's alpha of 17 items was 0.80. After the education sessions, there was a significant increase in sexual rights awareness. Conclusion: The Sexual rights awareness questionnaire is acceptable as a tool for measuring the level of education in studies. Future research should aim at conducting comparison studies of sexual rights awareness between sexes and cultural differences with larger populations which will further help to develop and to strengthen the rigor with in methodologies.

Attitudes of sexuality were positive for "relationship with partners" and "expression of mind". Practices of sexuality were at a low rate in the case of "shaking hands with partner" and "experience of sexual behavior". The Value of sexuality was at a high rates in the case of "the role of sex", "equality" & "self-identification", therefore students need good education of sexuality from childhood 2. Sexuality education of students increased knowledges of sexuality as a consciousness. There was no relationship between attitudes and pratices of sexuality. Educated children valued sexuality move highly than uneducated children. This result shows that education is needed with regard to both the knowledge and value of sexuality in a planned system. We need some program to provide more information on sexual attitudes and practices. 3. There was a high correlation between the consciousness of sexuality and value placed on it. As sexual awareness increases amongst students codes of morality develop Positive sexual attitudes served as good role models for sex.
