Evaluation of the Cluster-based staged Application Service Platform (클러스터 기반의 단계화된 응용서비스 플랫폼의 평가)

  • In this paper, through the implementation of the application service, we evaluated the feasibility and availability of the staged application service platform, which is based on the sharing of the PVM cluster. Application service platform provides three managers for dividing the request processing steps into two stages, such as a request processing stage and a service providing stage. Three managers and its relation to the divided stages are as follows, service manager and load manager to distribute the request in front-end server for a request processing stage, job manager in clustered(back-end) servers for a service providing stage. The experiment shows that the staged application service platform provides more stable and scalable characteristics and better performance improvement on the dynamic load changes than the single server system. And also it shows that real application service system can be implemented easily without modification of the proposed service platform.

  • 3-Screen service means that one video contents is operated on 3 different terminals(smart-phone, IP-TV, internet PC) with same service browser. In this paper, we developed 3-Screen video service system based on imbedded web browser. We evaluated and analysed of developed 3-Screen service system through Agribusiness video service offering test environment on the LG U+ network. As a result of tests, it showed that 3-Screen video service was well performed in each 3-Screen service terminals. The result of this paper will be utilized in various application developments for the 3-Screen video service in the future.

  • Recent research has been actively carried out on systems that want to optimize resource utilization by analyzing the intended behavior and pattern of behavior of objects (users, consumers). A service system that applies information about an object's location or behavior must include a location trigger processing system for tracking an object's real-time location. In this paper, we analyze design problems for the implementation of a context-awareness based location trigger system, and present system models based on analysis details. For this purpose, this paper introduces the concept of location trigger for intelligent location tracking techniques about moving situations of objects, and suggests a mobile agent system with active rules that can perform monitoring and appropriate actions based on sensing information and location context information, and uses them to design and implement the location trigger system for context-awareness based location services. The proposed system is verified by implementing location trigger processing scenarios and trigger service and action service protocols. In addition, through experiments on mobile agents with active rules, it is suggested that the proposed system can optimize the role and function of the application system by using rules appropriate to the service characteristics and that it is scalable and effective for location-based service systems. This paper is a preliminary study for the establishment of an optimization system for utilizing resources (equipment, power, manpower, etc.) through the active characteristics of systems such as real-time remote autonomous control and exception handling over consumption patterns and behavior changes of power users. The proposed system can be used in system configurations that induce optimization of resource utilization through intelligent warning and action based on location of objects, and can be effectively applied to the development of various location service systems.

  • The goal of this paper is to develop a system which provides infotainment services for the healthy life of the elderly. First, we define the infotainment services for the elderly, and then determine the infotainment contents and categories related to the infotainment service. In order to provide the infotainment service, we define several modules as follow: user representation, contents generation, contents personalization, provision and learning manager. Finally we develop a pilot system which is based on the proposed framework.

  • In the IS-95 packet service system, the radio channels are generally classified into the dedicated and the common traffic channels. In this paper, a common traffic channel access method is proposed for the COMA packet service system to enhance the radio resource utilization while guaranteeing QoS to the users. The proposed method is based on the permission probability for the common traffic channel user. To derive permission probability, optimization models are developed for two different QoS constraints. Approximation methods are also developed.

  • In this paper, we implement the taxi telematics service system based on location based service(LBS). The system implementation is composed of 3 major parts : the mobile device with which a user requests taxi calls, the taxi client which resides inside a taxi and supports multimedia environments with navigation function, and the server which manages moving taxies and receives user taxi calls. From the mobile device's GPS information, the server finds the closest taxi which is then sent to the user with the mobile device.

  • We consider a two-phase queueing system with generalized vacation. Poisson arrivals receive a batch type service in the first phase and individual services in the second phase. The server takes generalized vacation when the system becomes empty. Generalized vacation includes single vacation, multiple vacation, and other types. We consider both gated batch service and exhaustive batch service. This is an extension of the model presented by Selvam and Sivasankaran [6].

In order to mark the current 119EMS system, that is to say, more many medical technician and paramedics, medical equipments supplementation, korean EMS communication system simplification and the re-arrangement of the existing fire organization, and so on. Also so various problems involving 119EMS should be solved political and financial support and the change in people's attitude toward the public fire service.

  • 본 논문에서는 multi-media service를 제공하는데 smart antenna system을 적용했을 때의 performance 를 각 서비스별 특성에 따라 평가한다. 서로 다른 다중 rate 의 신호가 각각의 안테나를 통해서 수신되는 환경 하에서 adaptive smart antenna를 적용함으로써 보다 고속이고 향상된 용량의 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하기 위해서는 사용자의 지리적 분포 또는 간섭 전력에 따라서 성능 특성이 달라지므로 이에 대한 성능 분석을 시뮬레이션을 통해서 수행한다.
