자속커플링 SFCL의 사고전류 변화에 따른 전류제한특성 분석 (Characteristics according to increase of the fault current level of Flux-Coupling Type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter(SFCL))

  • The flux-coupling type superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL) is composed of a series transformer and superconducting unit of the YBCO thin films. The primary and secondary coils in the transformer were wound in series each other through an iron core and the YBCO thin film was connected with secondary coil in parallel. In a normal condition, the flux generated from a primary coil is cancelled out by its structure and the zero resistance of the YBCO thin films. When a fault occurs, the resistance of the YBCO thin films was generated and the fault current was limited by the SFCL. In this paper, we investigated the fault current limiting characteristics according to fault current level in the flux-coupling type SFCL. The experiment results that the fault current limiting characteristics was improved according to increase of the fault current level.

A Novel Soft-Switching PWM DC/DC Converter with DC Rail Series Switch-Parallel Capacitor Edge Resonant Snubber Assisted by High-Frequency Transformer Parasitic Components

  • This paper presents two new circuit topologies of DC bus lineside active edge resonant snubber assisted soft-switching PWM full-bridge DC-DC converter acceptable for either utility AC 200V-rms or AC 400V-rms input voltage source. One topology of proposed DC-DC converters is composed of a typical voltage source-fed full-bridge high frequency PWM inverter using DC busline side series power semiconductor switching devices with the aid of a parallel capacitive lossless snubber. All the active power switches in the full-bridge arms and DC busline can achieve ZCS turn-on and ZVS turn-off commutations and the total turn-off switching power losses of all active switches can be reduced for high-frequency switching action. It is proved that the more the switching frequency of full-bridge soft switching inverter increases, the more soft-switching PWM DC-DC converter with a hish frequency transformer link has remarkable advantages for its efficiency and power density as compared with the conventional hard-switching PWM inverter type DC-DC converter

Application of Informer for time-series NO2 prediction

  • 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 시계열 예측 모형을 평가한다. 최근 연구에 따르면 이 모형은 ARIMA와 같은 기존 예측 모형보다 성능이 우수하다고 결론짓는다. 그 중 히든 레이어에 이전 정보를 저장하는 순환 신경망이 이를 위한 예측 모형 중 하나이다. 네트워크의 그래디언트 소실 문제를 해결하기 위해 LSTM은 데이터 흐름의 반대 방향으로 숨겨진 레이어가 추가되는 BI-LSTM과 함께 순환 신경망 내부의 작은 메모리로 사용된다. 본 논문은 서울의 2018년 1월 1일부터 2022년도 1월 1일까지의 NO2 자료에 대해 Informer의 성능을 LSTM, BI-LSTM, Transformer와 비교하였다. 이에 실제 값과 예측값 사이의 평균 제곱근 오차와 평균 절대 오차를 구하였다. 그 결과 Test 데이터(2021.09.01.~2022.01.01.)에 대해 Informer는 다른 방법에 비해 가장 높은 예측 정확도 (가장 낮은 예측 오차: 평균 제곱근 오차: 0.0167, 평균 절대 오차: 0.0138)를 보여 타 방법에 비해 그 우수성을 입증하였다. Informer는 당초 취지와 부합되게 다른 방법들이 갖고 있는 장기 시계열 예측에 있어서의 문제점을 개선하는 결과를 나타내고 있다.

압전 트랜스포머를 이용한 PDA용 CCFL구동회로의 모델링과 동작특성 (Modeling and Characteristics of PDA CCFL Driving Circuits for Piezoelectric Transformer)

  • In this paper, to apply piezoelectric transformer for PDA backlight inverter, piezoelectric transformer using the composition which $Nb_2O_5$ added into PNW-PMN-PZT ceramics was fabricated as Rosen-type one with the size of $1165mm^3$. And their electrical characteristics were investigated with the variations of load resistance and driving frequency And then, the driving circuit for PDA CCFL(0.6W) which composed of the two MOSFETs connecting in series was manufactured using piezoelectric transformer, VCO and one-chip microprocessor. After driving for 25 min using the proposed circuit for PDA CCFL(0.6W), driving frequency of 214.4kHz, input voltage of 31.78 V and input current of 21.1mA were shown. And then, output voltage of 293.2 V and output current of 2.2mA were shown. At the same time, efficiency of 96.2$\%$ and temperature rise of $3.6^{\circ}C$ were appeared at the piezoelectric transformer.

Transformer 네트워크를 이용한 음성신호 변환 (Voice-to-voice conversion using transformer network)

  • 음성 변환은 다양한 음성 처리 응용에 적용될 수 있으며, 음성 인식을 위한 학습 데이터 증강에도 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다. 기존의 방법은 음성 합성을 이용하여 음성 변환을 수행하는 구조를 사용하여 멜 필터뱅크가 중요한 파라미터로 활용된다. 멜 필터뱅크는 뉴럴 네트워크 학습의 편리성 및 빠른 연산 속도를 제공하지만, 자연스러운 음성파형을 생성하기 위해서는 보코더를 필요로 한다. 또한, 이 방법은 음성 인식을 위한 다양한 데이터를 얻는데 효과적이지 않다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문은 원형 스펙트럼을 사용하여 음성 신호 자체의 변환을 시도하였고, 어텐션 메커니즘으로 스펙트럼 성분 사이의 관계를 효율적으로 찾아내어 변환을 위한 자질을 학습할 수 있는 transformer 네트워크 기반 딥러닝 구조를 제안하였다. 영어 숫자로 구성된 TIDIGITS 데이터를 사용하여 개별 숫자 변환 모델을 학습하였고, 연속 숫자 음성 변환 디코더를 통한 결과를 평가하였다. 30명의 청취 평가자를 모집하여 변환된 음성의 자연성과 유사성에 대해 평가를 진행하였고, 자연성 3.52±0.22 및 유사성 3.89±0.19 품질의 성능을 얻었다.

  • This paper proposes a static synchronous series compensator based on multi-bridge inverter. The proposed system consists of 6 H-bridge modules per phase, which generate 13 pulses for each half period of power frequency. The dynamic characteristic was analyzed by simulations with EMTP code, assuming that it is inserted in the 154-kV transmission line of one-machine-infinite-bus power system. The feasibility of hardware implementation was verified through experimental works using a scaled model. The proposed system does not require a coupling transformer for voltage injection, and has flexibility in expanding the operation voltage by increasing the number of H-bridge modules.

  • This paper presents a novel prototype of ZCS-PFM high frequency series resonant inverter using IGBT power module for electromagnetic induction eddy current-heated roller in copy and printing machines. The operating principle and unique features of this voltage source half bridge inverter with two additional soft commutation inductor snubber are presented including the transformer modeling of induction heated rolling drum. This soft switching inverter can achieve stable zero current soft commutation under a discontinuous and continuous resonant load current for a widely specified power regulation processing. The experimental results and computer-aided analysis of this inverter are discussed from a practical point of view.

  • In this paper, a novel 10kV, 50A, 50kHz pulsed power supply based on IGBT stacks is proposed. Proposed scheme consists of series connected 12 IGBT to generate maximum 10kV output pulse and 10kW full bridge phase-shifted zero voltage switching converter to charge DC capacitor voltage. Each IGBTs are sustain the 830V of capacitor voltage at turn off interval. By turn on the each IGBT for the same time it gives the path for the series connection of charged capacitor. From above turn on and off procedure, high voltage repetitive pulse is applied to the load. The synchronization of gating signal is important of series operation of IGBTs. For gating signal synchronization, specially designed gate power circuit using full bridge inverter and pulse transformer is developed to generate IGBT gating signal.

  • Computer Loads can be found in all of modern society. The switching mode power supplies used in personal computers are major sources of harmonic currents. Harmonic currents can cause lots of harmonic problems such as disruption in computer performance. A series resonant filter is very effective in harmonic reduction for personal computer loads. Voltage sags are short duration reductions in rms voltage. The main causes of voltage sags are faults, motor starting, and transformer energizing. Personal computers are another example of devices sensitive to voltage sags. A serious voltage sag at the terminals way lead mis-operation of the equipment. This paper presents an in depth analysis to evaluate the effect of harmonics reduction based on the IEC 61000-3-2 and the effect of voltage sag using ITI curve by applying a series resonant filter for personal computer loads.

Low Phase Noise Series-coupled VCO using Current-reuse and Armstrong Topologies

  • This paper proposes a new series-coupled voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO). The proposed VCO consists of four current-reuse Armstrong VCOs (CRA-VCOs) coupled by four transformers. The series-coupling, current-reuse, and Armstrong topologies improve the phase noise performance by increasing the negative-Gm of the VCO core with half the current consumption of a conventional differential VCO. The proposed VCO consumes 6.54 mW at 9.78 GHz from a 1-V supply voltage. The measured phase noise is -115.1 dBc/Hz at an offset frequency of 1 MHz, and the FoM is -186.5 dBc/Hz. The frequency tuning range is from 9.38-10.52 GHz. The core area is $0.49mm^2$ in a $0.13-{\mu}m$ CMOS process.
