  • This paper presents a new method for the motion detection of vehicles using hierarchical motion estimation and parallel processing. It captures the road image by using a CMOS sensor. It divides the captured image into small blocks and detects the motion of each block by using a block-matching method which is based on a hierarchical motion estimation and parallel processing for the real-time processing. The parallelism is achieved by using the pipeline and the data flow technique. The proposed method has been implemented with an embedded system. Experimental results show that the proposed method detects the motion of vehicles in real-time.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 비행체의 공기유동 데이터 측정 시스템에 직접 적용이 가능하며 고 신뢰도를 갖는 유동 데이터 처리 알고리즘 개발에 대해 기술하였다. 과거 공기유동 데이터 획득시스템과는 다르게 전산유동해석(CFD)을 통해 미리 획득한 데이터를 적용한 알고리즘으로 전압력 측정이 필요 없이 충분 한 센서 여유(redundancy) 및 오류 검출기능을 지니고 있다. 개발된 알고리즘에 대한 검증은 상용 프로그램인 매트랩 및 시뮬링크를 사용하여 진행하였다.

Fault Detection and Diagnosis of the Deaerator Level Control System in Nuclear Power Plants

  • The deaerator of a power plant is one of feedwater heaters in the secondary system, and it is located above the feedwater pumps. The feedwater pumps take the water from the deaerator storage tank, and the net positive suction head(NSPH) should always be ensured. To secure the sufficient NPSH, the deaerator tank is equipped with the level control system of which level sensors are critical items. And it is necessary to ascertain the sensor state on-line. For this, a model-based fault detection and diagnosis(FDD) is introduced in this study. The dynamic control model is formulated from the relation of input-output flow rates and liquid-level of the deaerator storage tank. Then an adaptive state estimator is designed for the fault detection and diagnosis of sensors. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed FDD scheme are evaluated by applying the operation data of Yonggwang Units 3 & 4.

  • In this paper, an improved method for magnetic inspection to detect surface of a conductor is presented. The presented method is based on the technique of ECP(Electric Current Perturbation), which is to measure the variation of current flow due to defects with a magnetic sensor. The inspection performance is improved by using high frequency current behaviors in order to concentrate the current near the defect and employing the resonant frequency of a search coil as an operating frequency. By analytical results and experiments of the test specimens, the feasibility of the inspection method is shown.

  • Recently, real-time visual tracking control for a robot manipulator is performed by using a vision feedback sensor information. In this paper, the optical flow is computed based on the eye-in-hand robot configuration. The image jacobian is employed to calculate the rotation and translation velocity of a 3D moving object. LQG visual controller generates the real-time visual trajectory. In order to improving the visual tracking performance. VSC controller is employed to control the robot manipulator. Simulation results show a better visual tracking performance than other method.

다양한 변화가 가능한 그래핀 복합체 제작 및 응용 (Fabrication and Application of Graphene Composite with Various Modifications)

  • In this study, we fabricated and evaluated graphene composite based 3D scaffolds and planar films. The hybrid composite was prepared by mixing a calculated amount of graphene nanopowder and polydimethylsiloxane in tetrahydrofuran solution. The hybrid composite is easy to manufacture into various forms using direct printing technology or a pressing method. A 3D scaffold structure was prepared at ambient temperature with a flow rate of 240 mm/min. The nozzle pressure was maintained at 350 kPa by adjusting the viscosity of the composite material. The planar film was prepared at different thicknesses using a roll-to-roll equipment. The prepared hybrid nanocomposites were evaluated to investigate their electrical properties according to temperature and mechanical deformation. The obtained results were consistent with each other. Therefore, it can be used effectively as sensors through shape definition.

  • 자탈형 콤바인 부착용 곡물유량센서를 개발하여 실내시험과 포장시험을 실시한 결과 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 가. 실내시험에서는 곡물유량과 단위 시간당 발생된 충격량과의 관계는 결정계수로 0.937의 높은 정밀도를 보였다. 나. 포장시험에서는 실내시험보다는 정밀도가 낮았지만, 구획 1에서는 결정계수가 0.612, 구획 2에서는 0.706을 보였다. 구획 1에서 얻어진 회귀식을 이용하여 구획 2의 값을 구한 결과, 예측유량과 실측유량과의 관계가 결정계수로 0.706을 보였으며, SEP는 0.026kg/s, Bias는-0.014kg/s를 보였다.

  • In this paper, a single-phase to three-phase PWM converter topology using six switches only for low cost induction motor drive is proposed. The converter topology is of lower cost than the conventional one, which gives sinusoidal input current, unity power factor, dc output voltage control and bidirectional power flow In addition, the source voltage sensor is eliminated by controlling the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The performance of the proposed converter has been demonstrated through the computer simulation.

  • 마이크로 흐름센서는 종래의 반도체 집적회로 공정기술을 이용하여 소형으로 제작이 가능하며, 빠른 응답특성을 가지는 장점이 있어 다양한 응용이 기대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 넓은 흐름의 세기영역에서 정밀한 감도를 가지는 2차원 마이크로 흐름센서를 실리콘 기판위에 설계하여 왔다. 이러한 흐름센서의 정확한 온도특성을 분석하고 이 결과로부터 최적을 온도 감지막 위치를 결정할 필요가 있다. 설계방법으로서 표계산 소프트웨어 Excel을 이용하여 열운송방정식의 차분 방정식을 매크로 기능을 이용하여 적용하고 워크시트 내에서 셀 참조방식을 활용하여 자동 계산을 수행하도록 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 Excel을 활용한 효율적인 설계방법을 제시하고 하나의 히터와 양측에 한 쌍의 온도 감지막을 가진 마이크로 흐름센서에 대해서 열전달 특성을 계산하고 이로부터 최적을 온도 감지막 위치를 결정할 수 있었다.

A Study on System Development for Ship's Integrated Safety and Security

  • As the faithful performance of ISPS of IMO, nowadays actually applicable an integrated safety and security system in and out of vessel should be organized in views of seafarers. Therefore, this paper is aimed to design a fundamental system for ship's integrated safety and security. The system of integrated grabbing will affect efficiently in any maritime field of material and human flow. Therefore this research will be expected to affect economical side by securing all the risk of maritime issues. In addition to the passenger ship and merchant vessel, it is applicable to other public and private vessels either. As a result of this paper, the system designed collecting various data through integrating the system including RFID reader, PIR sensor, and CMOS camera by putting an individual number into each unit that could be control at easy.
