마이크로 ESPI 기법에 의한 면내 변형 측정 민감도 향상 (Improvement of Sensitivity to In-plane Strain/Deformation Measurement by Micro-ESPI Technique)

  • Several test methods, including micro strain/deformation measurement techniques, have been studied to more reliably measure the micro properties in micro/nano materials. Therefore, in this study, the continuous measurement of in-plane tensile strain in micro-sized specimens of thin film materials was introduced using the micro-ESPI technique. TiN and Au thin films 1 and $0.47\;\mu{m}$ thick, respectively, were deposited on the silicon wafer and fabricated into the micro-sized tensile specimens using the electromachining process. The micro-tensile loading system and micro-ESPI system were developed to measure the tensile strain during micro-tensile test. The micro-tensile stress-strain for these materials was determined using the algorithm for continuous strain measurement. Furthermore, algorithm for enhancing the sensitivity to measurement of in-plane tensile strain was suggested. According to the algorithm for enhancement of sensitivity, micro-tensile strain data between interfringe were calculated. It is shown that the algorithm for enhancement of the sensitivity suggested in this study makes the sensitivity to the in-plane tensile strain increase.

  • Enhancement methods of sensitivity to in-plane strain measurement by micro-ESPI(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) technique were proposed using TiN and Au thin films. Micro-tensile strain over the micro-tensile specimens, prepared in micro-scale by those films, was measured by micro-tensile loading system and micro-ESPI system developed in this study. The subsequent measurement of in-plane tensile strain in the micro-sized specimens was introduced using the micro-ESPI technique, and the micro-tensile stress-strain curves for these films were determined. To enhance the sensitivity to measurement of in-plane tensile strain, algorithms of the phase estimation by using curve fitting of inter-fringe and the discrete Fourier Transform with object-induced dynamic phase shifting were developed. Using these two algorithms, the micro-tensile strain-stress curves were generated. It is shown that the algorithms for enhancement of the sensitivity suggested in this study make the sensitivity to measurement of the in-plane tensile strain increase.

유량계 교정장치의 측정불확도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement Uncertainty of Flowmeter Calibrator)

  • The standard uncertainty of flowrate measurement is obtained by combining that of independent variables. Gravimetric and volumetric method were applied to determine the flowrate and the standard uncertainties of flowrate measurement by both methods were evaluated in accordance with the procedure recommended by International Organization for Standardization. The combined standard uncertainties of determining the flowrate were estimated from the sensitivity coefficient and the standard uncertainty of independent variables. For practical application, the methods for evaluating and expressing uncertainty in flow measurement were discussed. It was found that the uncertainties of the weighing and time measurement in gravimetric method, the volume and time measurement in volumetric method have dominant influence on that of flowrate measurement. With the quantitative analysis of the sensitivity coefficient, the contribution of the each variable uncertainty to the combined standard uncertainty of flowrate measurement is shown clearly.

  • This paper describes the sensitivity enhancement in measurement of the hydrogen gas dissolved in oil using gas collection time. On-line gas measurement is a useful for continuous monitoring of power transformer. Recently many studies on hydrogen gas measurement, due to their simplicity and low price, have been done for transformer monitoring. In measurement of the hydrogen gas in oil, the suitable sensitivity and resolution in the desired ranges of the gas concentrations are needed for the reliable monitoring of power transformers. In this study, the sensor output trends were analyzed with the hydrogen gas collection time which means the time to collect the hydrogen gas before reaction of hydrogen gas sensor. It is indicated that the sensor outputs were increased with the increase of hydrogen gas collection times at the same hydrogen gas concentrations.

  • In this Paper, the dynamic temperature sensitivity and mu. temperature measurement errors of oil and air sensor in oil cooler are evaluated to predict design validity of sensors under special oil and atmosphere temperature changes. The temperature tracking of oil sensors for periodic temperature changes is simulated by obtaining thermal response coefficient from experiment. By this method, it is possible to design the optimal sensors with the admitted temperature measurement errors.

볼렌즈를 이용한 광학식 진직도 측정시스템 (Optical Straightness Measuring System Using a Ball-lens)

  • This paper proposes a simple method to improve a sensitivity of a straightness measurement system for a linear stage, which is applied to a system based on a geometric optic method. An optical system for this method is composed of a corner-cube retro-reflector, a ball-lens and a twodimensional position sensitive detector (2D PSD). The effectiveness of the proposed method was examined theoretically, and verified experimentally using a prototype measurement system. The results show that the measuring sensitivity was dependent on the size of the ball-lens and the setup position of PSD from the ball-lens, and that the proposed method is efficient method to improve the measuring sensitivity.

사상체질 진단법의 민감도와 특이도에 관한 연구 (The Study on Sensitivity and Specificity of Sasang Constitution Diagnosis Methods)

  • Objectives: We intended to know sensitivity, specificity and relation of diagnosis methods of Sasang Constitution. Methods: We compared QSCC II, PSSC, Body measurement dignosis results with gold standard ones which were diagnosed by Sasang Constitution specialist, and analyzed by crosstables to get the sensitivity and specificity of those. Results and conclusions 1. Sensitivity and specificity of one diagnosis method were low, so call, in QSCC II, Taeumin is 49% in sensitivity, 97% in specificity, Soeumin is 67%, 69%, Soyangin is 59%, 75%, in Body measurement, Taeumin is 66%, 89%, Soeumin is 70%, 82%, Soyangin is 49%, 78%. in PSSC, Taeumin is 57%, 90%, Soeumin is 88%, 62%, Soyangin is 18%, 88%. 2. When two diagnosis methods are consistent each other, sensitivity and specificity are more higher than one diagnosis method. 3. When three diagnosis methods are all consistent, sensitivity and specificity are most highest, but in Soyangin, those are decreased comparing with the case of consistency between QSCC II and Body measurement.

Uncertainty Assessment using Monte Carlo Simulation in Net Thrust Measurement at AETF

  • In this paper, Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) method was used as an uncertainty assessment tool for air flow, net thrust measurement. Uuncertainty sources of the net thrust measurement were analyzed, and the probability distribution characteristics of each source were discussed. Detailed MCS methodology was described including the effect of the number of simulation. Compared to the conventional sensitivity coefficient method, the MCS method has advantage in the uncertainty assessment. The MCS is comparatively simple, convenient and accurate, especially for complex or nonlinear measurement modeling equations. The uncertainty assessment result by MCS was compared with that of the conventional sensitivity coefficient method, and each method gave different result. The uncertainties in the net thrust measurement by the MCS and the conventional sensitivity coefficient method were 0.906% and 1.209%, respectively. It was concluded that the first order Taylor expansion in the conventional sensitivity coefficient method and the nonlinearity of model equation caused the difference. It was noted that the uncertainty assessment method should be selected carefully according to the mathematical characteristics of the model equation of the measurement.

동전위 분극저항 측정에서의 불확도 (Uncertainty in Potentiodynamic Polarization Resistance Measurement)

  • For the estimation of uncertainty in potentiodynamic polarization resistance measurement, the type A uncertainty was measured using type 316 stainless steel in an acidified NaCl solution. Sensitivity coefficients were determined for measurand such as scan rate of potential, temperature of solution, concentration of NaCl, concentration of HCl, surface roughness of specimen and flow rate of purging gas. Sensitivity coefficients were large for the measurand such as the scan rate of potential, temperature of solution and roughness of specimen. However, the sensitivity coefficients were not the major factors influencing the combined standard uncertainty of polarization resistance due to the low values of uncertainty in measurements of the measurands. A major influencing factor was the concentration of NaCl. The value of type A uncertainty was 1.1 times the value of type B uncertainty, and the combined standard uncertainty was 10.5 % of the average value of polarization resistance.

산림복지 인프라 가격결정을 위한 가격민감성 분석 (Price-Sensitivity Measurement of a Forest Welfare Facility)

  • This study provides basic data for the cost operating strategy of forest welfare infra facilities. We use the Price-Sensitivity Measurement technique (PSM) for a forest welfare infra facility (healing forest, wood camping, forest leisure sport, etc.). In addition, we conduct a survey in the four target locations (Kyung-gi, Kyung-sang, Chung-cheong, and Jeolla) and receive answer from 390. The results show that higher the price of present infra facilities, higher the price sensibility. The forest welfare infra facilities we include are healing forest 1,894 won, wood camping 5,625 won, mtb park 9,530 won, mountain horseback riding 14,556 won, paragliding 20,252 won, mountain ski 3,075won. However, we investigate zip-lines at lower than current price levels.
