  • Recently, universities have difficulties in operating the normal curriculum because fresher's basic academic ability is declined. It causes campus misfits so managing students is also not an easy matter. The education system that focuses only on college entrance exams is one of the reasons why this phenomenon occurred. Activity with self-directed Learning Community to know learning level themselves and execute systematic studying habit is essential for improving this problem. This activity can help students understanding and having interest in class and be motivated to study. But it had burdened tutors with submitting activity report in written form. In this paper, we suggest the Mobile Based Activity Report Submission System which can be the solution of the problem that the Self-directed Learning Community System has. This system reduces the emotional burden to write the reports and manages them efficiently.

  • Objective : To explore the relationship of social class and health behaviors with self-reported morbidity. Methods : The 1995 General Household Survey in Korea was used to investigate self-reported morbidity. Logistic regression was used to examine the relationship of social class and health behaviors with self-reported chronic disease and perceived general health. Results : For chronic disease and general perceived health, age adjusted odds ratios were higher for manual workers, lower-educated group as well as those in the lower income group; this held true for both men and women. Health behaviours had little effect or the relationship between social class and morbidity. The relationship between health behaviors and morbidity was very weak. The lower social class expressed higher levels of negative health behaviors, although this relationship appeared to be very weak in Korea. Conclusions : This study suggests that an understanding of health differentials that addresses the issue of social inequalities in Korea is required.

  • Self-expandable metal stent (SEMS) is effective for biliary drainage, especially in pancreaticobiliary cancer. The mechanical properties, material, and design of SEMS are important in preventing recurrent biliary obstruction and complication. Radial and chronic expansion forces play roles in preventing stent migration and collapse. Complications, such as stent impaction, cholecystitis, and pancreatitis, were related to the axial force. The nickel-titanium alloy shows more flexibility, conformability, and optimal axial force compared to previously used stainless steel. Additionally, the stent structure affected the mechanical properties of SEMS. Therefore, understanding the mechanical properties, material, and design of SEMS will provide the best outcome for biliary drainage, as well as better SEMS development.

  • In the treatment of temporomandibular disorders, patient education and self-management method are necessary in addition to other specialized treatments to prevent recurrence of symptoms or development of chronic pain. The causes of temporomandibular disorders are very diverse, but in many cases the patients continue to suffer or experience recurrence because of the repeated exposure to micro traumas such as oral parafunctions, bad habits, and harmful eating habits. Much better prognosis is expected if a dental hygienist who is teamed up with a specialist in the dental clinic can perform patient education and management based on the understanding of temporomandibular disorder.

  • Purpose: The widespread use of social network services (SNS) has caused users concern about the disclosure of their privacy or personal information. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors of privacy concern and self presentation that affect the user resistance in the use of social network service. Methods: This study verifies the factors that affecting the user resistance in SNS. The research model suggested in this study is tested via a survey of 260 SNS users. SPSS and Smart PLS had been used to test the suggested hypotheses. Results: This study shows that privacy experience, privacy awareness, self esteem, and social desirability significantly influence perceived risk and that privacy awareness, self esteem, self efficacy, and perceived risk significantly influence perceived trust. It also verifies that perceived risk and perceived trust positively affect user resistance. Conclusion: This paper suggests that high awareness on privacy of SNS user encourages the SNS companies to consider the privacy protection mechanism for eliminating various factors that affecting the risk. This study also shows that the privacy calculus model applies to understanding the mechanism on resistance of SNS user.
