In this study, we ran a collage fashion illustration program. We used in depth personal interviews to find if there are any change in self-image by psychologically analyzing the features of self-images expressed in the pieces of fashion illustration. The total number of objects were five females students majoring in fashion design in Busan. They were hoping to have a psychology consultation to resolve their concerns about the future, family affairs, appearance, and careers. Collage fashion illustration program was used as a experimental tool to find the psychological features shown in the formats and content of collage fashion illustration. We then figure out how pre and post diagnosis were different from each other in terms of ego-identity and DAP. As a result, the formats in collage fashion illustration are related to the self images such as psychological energy, incompetency, suppression, and tendency of self-centered. Also, the contents of the fashion expression are related to the self-images such as dependency, avoidance, wariness, and self-regard. All of the participants have improved self-regard and active action due to improvements in subjectivity, initiative, and goal orientation. Therefore, they could change from pessimistic self-images to optimistic ones.

This study utilizes Roland Barthes' semiotic theory to explore how interface design elements of beauty camera apps, such as filters and stickers, icons and buttons, layout and structure, function as symbols of self-expression, and their impact on users' social identity and personal image. Through in-depth analysis of applications like BeautyPlus, Ulike, MeituPic, and Faceu, this research found that these apps emphasize usability, visual appeal, and social interactivity in their design. These elements not only enhance user experience and operational efficiency but also reflect popular cultural trends and aesthetic preferences. From Barthes' perspective, these interface elements have become "myths" with specific social meanings, which are naturalized in daily use and promote the widespread acceptance of particular aesthetic standards. These interface design elements are not just tools for self-expression; they are also powerful cultural symbols that shape modern social interactions and visual culture. This research offers a new perspective to understand the interactions between individuals and society in the digital age, emphasizing the role of technology, culture, and social interaction in shaping contemporary human behavior and social relationships.
It can be explained by congruity theory as a process that consumers engage in a matching process to identify personal community that is congruent with their self-images to find the identification between the self and the personal community. Personal community cues that evoke certain images are viewed as activating similar beliefs about the self (e.g., high status). Individuals prompt a comparison process to determine whether the personal community and self-image are congruent and imagine prototypical users of the personal community and select ones that maximize similarity to their actual or desired self-concept. Identity is devided into personal identity and social identity. Consumers are likely to be influenced by both personal identity and social identity. In this article the influencing factors of the commitment to on-line personal community are explored by the sources of both personal identification and social identification. The results are as follows. The maintenance expression and enhancement expression of personal self influence the level of personal identification positively and the maintenance expression and enhancement expression of social self influence the level of social identification positively. The level of both social and personal identification positively influence the commitment to on-line personal community which gives positive responses to the source enterprise that allows the cyberspace and the other benefits to be used.

This study investigates the influential factors on online word-of-mouth (eWOM) intentions towards educational tourist destinations, primarily focusing on Korean universities and Chinese tourists. It reveals a positive correlation between eWOM intentions and the desire to enroll in these institutions. The significance of eWOM for attracting Chinese students elucidates the importance of establishing a strong brand image and ensuring high levels of tourist satisfaction. Moreover, social media users who travel for education purposes were found to emphasize self-image consistency and conspicuous self-expression. This research underscores the utility of leveraging social media to enhance the perception of educational tourist attractions, promoting these destinations, and stimulating eWOM, thereby enriching the understanding of the strategic use of social media in international student recruitment.

And the op-art, optical illusion by virtue of pointillism, the use of non-woven molding, and action painting technique can be described as expression tools to recognize the human body. This study analyzed the characteristics of spatial expression in the Barcelona Pavilion to be based on tectonics. Mies pointed out the image of materiality about the material rather than the process of tectonics using the material, and he also expressed demateriality in the image of each material through the reflection. To be liberated from structural matters, the wall has been introduced. He intended to show the design plan as the independent structural system, however, the wall actually seems to be supporting the roof that shows rather clearly self-contradictory because of the expression of materiality in the material. In terms of architectural elements; wall, roof, column, floor, and so forth, tectonic expression and abstract aesthetics stands face to face, because of hiding the productional process and transforming to line and surface in the image of materiality. The interior of the glass wall seems fairly closed space from the exterior, because materiality and reflection of materials of columns and podium. The character of experiential space is inconsistent and fragmentary because of the splendid images from maternality and reflection on the wall, and collision with the reality and the image the wall reflects, even though the geometrical space of the Pavilion's plan has the mutual penetrability and organic character.
