  • Dendritic-web 방법으로 성장된 규소의 결정속에 존재하는 여러 결합을 화학적 etching 방법으로 규명하였다. Twin plan상에 존재하는 전위의loop이 관찰되었고 이들은 규소의 self - interstital이 condensation되어서 형성된 것으로 판단된다. 이들 규소의 self-interstitial은 응고 온도로 부터의 급냉에 의하여 혹은 oxide precipitation에 의하여 생성되 것으로 여겨진다.

Comparison of traditional and simplified methods for repairing CAD/CAM feldspathic ceramics

  • PURPOSE. To evaluate the adhesion to CAD/CAM feldspathic blocks by failure analysis and shear bond strength test (SBSt) of different restorative systems and different surface treatments, for purpose of moderate chipping repair. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A self-adhering flowable composite (Vertise Flow, Kerr) containing bi-functional phosphate monomers and a conventional flowable resin composite (Premise Flow, Kerr) applied with and without adhesive system (Optibond Solo Plus, Kerr) were combined with three different surface treatments (Hydrofluoric Acid Etching, Sandblasting, combination of both) for repairing feldspathic ceramics. Two commercial systems for ceramic repairing were tested as controls (Porcelain Repair Kit, Ultradent, and CoJet System, 3M). SBSt was performed and failure mode was evaluated using a digital microscope. A One-Way ANOVA (Tukey test for post hoc) was applied to the SBSt data and the Fisher's Exact Test was applied to the failure analysis data. RESULTS. The use of resin systems containing bi-functional phosphate monomers combined with hydrofluoric acid etching of the ceramic surface gave the highest values in terms of bond strength and of more favorable failure modalities. CONCLUSION. The simplified repairing method based on self-adhering flowable resin combined with the use of hydrofluoric acid etching showed high bond strength values and a favorable failure mode. Repairing of ceramic chipping with a self-adhering flowable resin associated with hydrofluoric acid etching showed high bond strength with a less time consuming and technique-sensitive procedure compared to standard procedure.

Resilon을 이용한 근관충전 시 수종의 치면처리제에 따른 미세누출 평가 (MICROLEAKAGE OF RESILON: EFFECTS OF SEVERAL SELF-ETCHING PRIMER)

  • 이 실험의 목적은 Resilon으로 근관충전된 치아에서 자가산부식전처리제에 따른 치근단 미세누출을 평가하고자 함이다. 70개의 단근치를 사용하였고 .04 Taper ProFile을 사용하여 ISO #40까지 근관성형 하였다. 치아는 근관충전 재료와 자가산부식 전처리제에 따라서 15개씩 4개의 실험군과 5개씩 2개의 대조군으로 나누었다. 실험 치아는 치아 장축에 평행하게 잘라내어 염색액의 최대 침투 길이를 측정하였다. 통계분석은 One-way ANOVA test로 분석하였으며 Scheffe test로 사후검정 하였다. 실험결과 자가산부식전처리제를 사용한 2, 3, 4군 사이에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 그러나 1군과 4군 사이에서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났으며 (p < 0.05), 1군에서 가장 적은 치근단 미세누출을 나타냈다. 이 실험 결과에 따르면 Resilon으로 근관충전을 한 치아는 gutta percha와 $AH26^{(R)}$으로 근관충전한 치아와 비교했을 때 더 좋은 치근단 밀폐를 나타내지 않는다는 결론을 얻었으며, Resilon을 사용하여 근관충전을 한 경우에 자가산부식 전처리제의 차이에 따른 치근단 밀폐효과의 차이를 보이지 않는다는 결론을 얻었다.

자가 산부식 프라이머의 세포독성에 관한 실험적 연구 (In vitro cytotoxicity of self-etching primers)

  • 자가 산부식 프라이머는 세포독성이 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 교정치료를 하는 동안 치주조직에 손상을 일으킬 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 자가 산부식 프라이머가 치주조직에 미치는 영향을 평가해 보고 이를 전통적인 접착법에 사용되는 프라이머와 비교하기 위하여 시행되었다. 시편은 임상에서 브라켓 접착 시 사용하는 Transbond XT Adhesive (3M Unitek, Monrovia, CA, USA)를 각각 Transbond XT Primer (3M Unitek, Monrovia, CA, USA), Clearfil SE bond (Kuraray, Osaka, Japan), Transbond Plus Self Etching Primer, Adper Prompt L-Pop (3M Unitek, Monrovia, CA, USA)과 혼합한 후 광중합하여 제작하였고, Transbond XT Adhesive를 중합한 대조군과 비교하였다. 이를 배양된 HGF-1 (Human eingiva Fibroblast), HaCaT (Human Keratinocyte cell line), RHEK (immorialized Human Epidermal Keratinocyte)에 노출시킨 후 세포의 형태 변화를 관찰하였고, MTT assay를 시행하여 세포독성을 비교, 평가하였다. 실험결과 72시간 후 HGF-1, HaCaT, RHEK를 이용한 실험에서 모든 프라이머의 세포독성이 높게 나타나 세포 돌기의 위축, 세포 형태의 변화, 세포 수의 감소, 세포의 괴사가 관찰되었다. MTT assay 실험 시 HGF-1 을 이용한 실험에서 Clearfil SE Bond, Transbond XT Primer, Transbond Plus SEP, Adper Prompt L-Pop의 순으로 세포독성이 높게 나타났고, HaCaT를 이용한 실험에서 Cleafil SE Bond, Adper Prompt L-Pop, Transbond Plus SEP, Transbond XT Primer 순으로 세포독성이 높게 나타났으며, RHEK를 이용한 실험에서 Clearfil SE Bond, Transbond XT Primer, Adper Prompt L-Pop, Transbond Plus SEP 순으로 세포독성이 높게 나타났다. 자가 산부식프라이머는 전통적으로 사용되는 프라이머와 마찬가지로 세포독성이 유의하게 높으므로 구강내 사용시 주의가 필요하다.

Shear bond strength of a new self-adhering flowable composite resin for lithium disilicate-reinforced CAD/CAM ceramic material

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the effects of different surface pretreatment techniques on the surface roughness and shear bond strength of a new self-adhering flowable composite resin for use with lithium disilicate-reinforced CAD/CAM ceramic material. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A total of one hundred thirty lithium disilicate CAD/CAM ceramic plates with dimensions of $6mm{\times}4mm$ and 3 mm thick were prepared. Specimens were then assigned into five groups (n=26) as follows: untreated control, coating with $30{\mu}m$ silica oxide particles ($Cojet^{TM}$ Sand), 9.6% hydrofluoric acid etching, Er:YAG laser irradiation, and grinding with a high-speed fine diamond bur. A self-adhering flowable composite resin (Vertise Flow) was applied onto the pre-treated ceramic plates using the Ultradent shear bond Teflon mold system. Surface roughness was measured by atomic force microscopy. Shear bond strength test were performed using a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Surface roughness data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and the Tukey HSD tests. Shear bond strength test values were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney U tests at ${\alpha}=.05$. RESULTS. Hydrofluoric acid etching and grinding with high-speed fine diamond bur produced significantly higher surface roughness than the other pretreatment groups (P<.05). Hydrofluoric acid etching and silica coating yielded the highest shear bond strength values (P<.001). CONCLUSION. Self-adhering flowable composite resin used as repair composite resin exhibited very low bond strength irrespective of the surface pretreatments used.

자가부식 전처치제를 이용한 상아질 결합재의 미세 누출에 관한 연구 (COMPARISON OF MICROLEAKAGE OF NEW GENERATION DENTIN BONDING SYSTEM)

  • Newley developed dentin bonding system which contains self-etching primer performed the removing of smear layer and etching procedure at once. So, it make possible more simple and shorter working time, the stronger bonding strength than conventional dentin bonding system. Cavities were prepared in the buccal and lingual surface of 30 extracted primary molars, and randomly assigned into three equal groups of 10 each. All cavities were filled with Z-100 composite resin following manufacturer's specifications after priming of three different dentin bonding system. Specimens stored for 7 days in 37 degree C water, thermocycled for 1000 cycles between 5 degree C and 55 degree C, immersed in 50% silvernitrate solution for 24 hours, and embedded in resin before being sectioned longitudinally. Data were analyzed by t-test and ANOVA. Mac-Bond II and Clearfil Linear-Bond II showed less microleakage at the occlusal and gingival margins compared to Scotchbond Multi Purpose. All dentin bonding systems showed significantly less microleakage at the occlusal margins compared to the gingival margins. But, there were no significantley difference between each group.

Evaluation of different enamel conditioning techniques for orthodontic bonding

  • Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effects of different enamel conditioning techniques for bracket bonding. Methods: Ninety-one human premolars were randomly divided in six groups of 15 specimens each. The enamel surfaces of the teeth were etched with 35% orthophosphoric acid in Group 1, with a self-etching primer in Group 2, sandblasted in Group 3, sandblasted and etched with 35% orthophosphoric acid in Group 4, conditioned by Er:YAG laser in Group 5 and conditioned by Er:YAG laser and etched with 35% phosphoric acid gel respectively in Group 6. After enamel conditioning procedures, brackets were bonded and shear bonding test was performed. After debonding, adhesive remnant index scores were calculated for all groups. One tooth from each group were inspected by scanning electron microscope for evaluating the enamel surface characteristics. Results: The laser and acid etched group showed the highest mean shear bond strength (SBS) value ($13.61{\pm}1.14$ MPa) while sandblasted group yielded the lowest value ($3.12{\pm}0.61$ MPa). Conclusions: Although the SBS values were higher, the teeth in laser conditioned groups were highly damaged. Therefore, acid etching and self-etching techniques were found to be safer for orthodontic bracket bonding. Sandblasting method was found to generate inadequate bonding strength.

상아질 접착제의 nanoleakage 양상에 관한 연구 (The Nanoleakage Patterns of Different Dentin Adhesive Systems)

  • 본 연구는 total etching (Scotchbond Multi-Purpose; MP) 및 self-etching (Clearfil SE Bond; SE 과 Prompt L-pop LP) 상아질 접착제의 nanoleakage 양상을 관찰하고 열순환 후의 nanoleakage 양상의 변화를 분석하고자 하였다. 30개의 발거된 치아의 교합면 및 협, 설측 법랑질을 제거하였다. 열 순환 시행 여부에 따라 두 군으로 나누어 실험하였으며 각각의 상아질 접착제 도포 후 Z-250으로 교합면을 수복하였다. Silver nitrate용액 및 현상액에 침적 후치아의 협설 방향으로 평행하게 절단하여 SEM으로 관찰하였다. 서로 다른 양상의 nanoleakage가 관찰되었다. MP의 경우는 resin tag 주위로 뚜렷한 은의 침착을 관찰 할 수 있었으며 혼합층 전체 두께에 띠 및 점상으로 흩어져 침착된 은을 관찰 할 수 있었다. SE의 경우는 혼합층의 하층을 따라 은으로 침착된 선을 관찰 할 수 있었으며 혼합층과 adhesive 경계를 따라 무정형의 은 침착물 들을 관찰할 수 있었다. LP의 경우는 혼합층의 하부 및 혼합층 내에 띠 모양으로 은의 침착을 관찰 할 수 있었으며 혼합층의 하부에서는 관찰되지 않고 혼합층의 내부에서만 관찰되는 경우도 있었다. 열순환을 시행한 군에서는 전반적 nanoleakage 양상은 열 순환을 시행하지 않은 군과 유사하였으나 은 침착의 증가를 관찰 할 수 있었다.

플라즈마중합막의제작과레지스트 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preparation and Resist Characterization of the Plasma Polymerized Thin Films)

  • The purpose of this paper is to describe an application of plasma polymerized thin film as an electron beam resist. Plasma polymerized thin film was prepared using an interelectrode capacitively coupled gas-flow-type reactor, and chosen methylmethacrylate(MMA)and methylmethacrylate-tetrameth-yltin(MMA-TMT) as a monomer. This thin films were also delineated by the electron-beam apparatus with an acceleration voltage of 30kV and an expose dose ranging from 20 to 900$\mu$C/cmS02T. The delineated pattern in the resist was developed with the same reactor which is used for polymerization using an argon as etching gas. The growth rate and etching rate of the thin film is increased with increasing of discharge power. Thin films by plasma polymerization show polymerization rate of 30~45($\pm$3) A/min, and etching rate of 440($\pm$30) A/min during Ar plasma etching at discharge power of 100W. In apparently lower than that of conventional PMMA, but the plasma-etching rate of PP(MMA-TMT) was higher than that of PPMMA.

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the roughness on the acid -etching surface. The etching agents of three-kinds composite resins were used to etch the tooth surface. Newly extracted I5-anterior teeth were invested with self-curing acrylic resin, and the labial surface was exposed. The exposed labial side was polished with abrasive papers and finally polished on polishing machine with zinc oxide powder. After the teeth were polished, the specimens were washed by water and dried by air. Surface roughness tester, Taylor-Habson's Taly Surf-10, (Fig-1) was used to measure roughness of this unetched tooth surface. And that, the specimens were divided into three groups. The first group was etched with Restodent etchant, the second group was etched with Nuva-system etchant, and Hi-pol etching agent was used in the third group. And the surface roughness tester was used to measure roughness of the etching teeth surface. The results obtained were as follows. 1. The roughness of acid-etched enamel were increased $2{\mu}m$ to $6{\mu}m$. 2. Hi-pol etchant produced the smoothest surface($2.3{\mu}m$). 3. Restodent etchant($3.8{\mu}m$) and Nuva-system etchant($3.7{\mu}m$) produced rougher surface than Hi-pol.
