Sensitivity Enhancement of a Vertical-Type CMOS Hall Device for a Magnetic Sensor

  • This study presents a vertical-type CMOS Hall device with improved sensitivity to detect a 3D magnetic field in various types of sensors or communication devices. To improve sensitivity, trenches are implanted next to the current input terminal, so that the Hall current becomes maximum. The effect of the dimension and location of trenches on sensitivity is simulated in the COMSOL simulator. A vertical-type Hall device with a width of $16{\mu}m$ and a height of $2{\mu}m$ is optimized for maximum sensitivity. The simulation result shows that it has a 23% better result than a conventional vertical-type CMOS Hall device without a trench.

Detection of Dangerous Situations using Deep Learning Model with Relational Inference

  • Crime has become one of the major problems in modern society. Even though visual surveillances through closed-circuit television (CCTV) is extensively used for solving crime, the number of crimes has not decreased. This is because there is insufficient workforce for performing 24-hour surveillance. In addition, CCTV surveillance by humans is not efficient for detecting dangerous situations owing to accuracy issues. In this paper, we propose the autonomous detection of dangerous situations in CCTV scenes using a deep learning model with relational inference. The main feature of the proposed method is that it can simultaneously perform object detection and relational inference to determine the danger of the situations captured by CCTV. This enables us to efficiently classify dangerous situations by inferring the relationship between detected objects (i.e., distance and position). Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing methods in terms of the accuracy of image classification and the false alarm rate even when object detection accuracy is low.

Low Cost and Portable Parahydrogen Generator for the PHIP

  • In the developed NMR hyperpolarization techniques, Parahydrogen-Induced Polarization (PHIP) technique is widely utilized to overcome the low sensitivity of the NMR/MRI. Parahydrogen generator is essential to produce high spin order of parahydrogen molecule. Commercial parahydrogen generator is well developed with user-friendly systems. However, it has drawbacks of long preparation time (~ 2h including cooling down time of 1h) and high cost (~ 200 million won) for the commercial setup. We designed a simple and portable parahydrogen generating system with low cost (~ 2 million won), which produce polarization in less than 1 min. With the designed parahydrogen generator, we successfully performed the PHIP with Wilkinson's catalyst on styrene. This study will broaden the parahydrogen based polarization transfer study on many researchers by providing the simple portable and low cost parahydrogen generator.

  • Die wichtigsten Theorien tiber das Alter der hochdeutschen Lautverschiebung (LV) sind die beiden folgenden: 1. ein sehr hohes Alter(wohl noch var Chr. abgeschlossen), 2. ein relativ junges Alter(im Allgemeinen das 6.-10. Jh. n. Chr.). Die beiden Datierungen weichen um uber ein halbes Jahrtausend voneinander ab. Diese Abweichungen gehen auf unterschiedliche Methoden der Altersbestimmung zuruck: entweder datiert man nur anhand schriftlichen Zeugnisse oder aufgrund von etwas spekulativ ethnologischen Erwagungen. Die letztere lasst zwar ein hohes Alter der LV zu, gibt aber es keine sicheren Belege dafur. Deshalb kann nur sprachliches Material eine sichere Basis fur die Datierung der LV sein. Das gilt immer noch, wenn auch die Schreibung i. d. R. Veranderungen in der gesprochenen Sprache nicht rechtzeitig widerspiegelt. Die altesten Belege fur die wichtigsten Dialekte sind die folgenden: Die alemannische Runeninschrift von Stetten (ca. 680, wahl der fruheste Beleg uberhaupt fur die hd. LV), Handschrift des langobardischen Edictus Rathari $({\cal}um 700)$, das bairische Salzburger Verbrtiderungsbuch(784), die mittelfrankischen Glossen des Echtemacher Evangeliars $({\cal}um 700)$.

Die Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechung ist auch ohne produktions-und Kapitalkonto der privatin Haushalte konzipiert worden. Eine Diskussion um wert und Bewertung der Hausarbeit ist nicht nur eine Frage der volkswirt schaftlichen Rechnungs fuhrung. Sie rept dar ber hinaus an, den Bestimmungs faktoren an suchen, die dazu f hrten, da$\beta$ die Hausarbeit heute so wertlos erscheint, da$\beta$ ann hernd niemand sie erlernen und nur noch wenige sie machen mochtan.

  • Da die hd. LV in einem Kausalzusammenhang verlaufen sein musste, ist sie im weiteren Sinne zu verstehen. Das meint: Der Wandel P>d muss auch in diese Kategorie $geh\"{o}ren$. $F\"{u}r$ die sinnvolle Deutung des hd. LV $w\"{a}re$ sehr aufschlussreich, die Lautsysteme der beiden Sprachen miteinander zu kontrastieren: Voralt­hochdeutsch(mit LV) und $Voraltfr\"{a}nkisch(ohne\;LV)$. Dabei $k\"{o}nnten$ wir sehr gute $Gr\"{u}nde$ entdecken, wieso die beiden Sprachen auf denselben Reiz der hd. LV ganz unterschiedlich reagieren. Beim Lautwandel $ver\"{a}ndern$ sich in der Tat nicht einzelne Laute, sondern korrelierte Laute parallel. Nach der sog. Reihenschrittheorie $k\"{o}nnen$ wir theoretisch rekonstruieren, welche allophonische Zwischenstufen die hd. LV voraussetzte.

Heterogeneous Chain-mail Model for CPU-based Volume Deformation (CPU 기반의 볼륨 변형을 위한 다형질 Chainmail 모델)

  • Since a surgery simulation should be able to represent the internal structure of the human body, it is advantageous to adopt volume based techniques rather than polygon based techniques. However, the volume based techniques induce large computation to deform heterogeneous volume datasets such as bones and muscles. In this study, we propose a new method to deform volume data using multi-core CPUs. By improving previous studies, the proposed method minimizes unnecessary propagation operations. Moreover, we propose an efficient task-partitioning method for volume deformation using multi-core CPUs. As a result, we can simulate the deformation of heterogeneous volume data at an interactive speed without special hardware.

  • 최근 한국의 자살률은 10만 명 당 25.7명으로 높은 수치를 기록하고 있으며 한국 사회의 큰 문제로 자리 잡고 있다. 특히 한강 교량 내 투신자살 시도를 하는 경우가 매우 많다. 본 논문에서는 한강 교량 내 투신자살 시도를 예방하기 위해 자세 인식의 정확도를 향상하기 위해 딥러닝 기반의 교량에서의 자살 방식 시스템을 개발하였으며, 국내의 자살 예방률이 높아지기를 기대한다.

  • 또세인꼬는 19세기 후반에서 20세기 초 식민지 버마의 지적 발전에 지대한 영향을 남긴 중요한 인물이지만 잊혀졌던 인물이다. '미얀마 연구'의 몇몇 뿌리가 식민지 시대에 있음을 고려할 때, 또세인꼬의 저작은 미얀마를 연구하고 이해하려는 오늘날의 노력에 의미하는 바가 크다. 그는 고고학적 저술로 잘 알려져 있긴 하지만, 그의 저작과 경력을 검토해 본 결과 그는 식민지사회에서 공적 지식인으로 활약했음을 알 수 있었다. 아시아 연구(특히 버마 연구)의 발전이 제국주의적 틀 속에서 이루어질 때, 또세인꼬는 식민지 버마에 존재했던 혼성적 저술전통을 따라 저술했다. 또세인꼬는 버마인의 관점이나 가장 공감할 수 있는 언어로 도회지 독자들에게 호소하는 방법과 같은 그 어느 길에서도 벗어났던 스콧, 오코너, 그리고 필딩-홀과 같은 영국학자들의 그룹에 속한다. 또세인꼬의 저술을 연구하는 것은 식민지적 지식과 버마에 관한 영국인의 저작에 관한 연구가 유용하게 재개념화 될 수 있는 기초를 갖추는데 도움이 된다.

  • 본 논문은 자동차 제어 시스템을 위한 플랫폼인 AUTOSAR AP 및 로봇 및 비전 시스템에 주로 사용되는, DDS를 기반으로 한 ROS2 응용 프로그램 간 서비스 기반 통신의 Discovery 과정 구상을 목표로 한다. 이 연구는 ROS2 기반 애플리케이션을 신뢰성과 안정성이 보장된 AUTOSAR AP 기반 제어 시스템에 통합하는 이론적 기반을 제시함으로서, 서로 다른 플랫폼 간의 원활한 통합을 통해 자동차 산업의 기술 발전에 기여할 수 있는 중요한 기술적 발전을 보여줄 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.
