모래로 축조된 댐 모형의 침투에 관한 연구(I) (A Study of the Seepage through Sand-Constructed Model Dams.)

  • The aim of this thesis, when water permeates dam, is to study the shape of seepage line and seepage quantity. As for the process, various sand model dams of same capacity were constructed in the water tank : they are a central, middle, inclined, up and down stream point of which is paralled, and filter-installed types. And the slope of seepage line and seepage quantity in these various models for experiment were measured, observed data were analyzed, and several formulas which already published were compared and examined. As for the shape of seepage line, the relation between upstream water level and exit: slope of seepage line, near the entrance and exit point, geometrically similar model, and the shape of seepage line filter-installed were examined. As regards to the seepage quantity, several formulas which already published and testing result values were compared and examined, and relation with the slope of seepage line, the seepage quantity, the slope of upstream point, and the upstream water level were mutually studied. Particulary, when horizontal filter was installed, propriety of the existing formulas for effective filter length w as examined, and the relative position of exit point in various. conditions was also studied.

지반의 투수성에 따른 제체 침투류의 변화 (Variation of Seepage Line through Embankments by Permeability of Layer)

  • The movement of water through a river embankment and its influenced upon the stability of the slope of the embankment are described. The stability of the embankment is depended upon the location of seepage line. As the seepage flow occurs in the embankment, the slope of the embankment loses its stability. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of water level. The variation of seepage line in the embankment model by a fluctuation of water level is discussed. The experimental models were construction with slopes of 1 : 1.5, 1 : 2.0, 1 : 2.5 and the flow velocity was turned from 60cm/sec~90cm/sec. Based on the experimental study, the following conclusions are drawn. 1) When water level is raised, the seepage line of downstream slope Is raised rapidly as flow velocity increases. 2) For the case of permeable layer, the seepage line raised rapidly as compare with impermeable layer when water lever is raised.

  • 댐이나 제방과 같이 흙으로 축조된 수리구조물에 있어서, 자유지하수면의 최상부 침투선을 해석하였다. 자유지하수면에 작용하는 압력은 대기압이고, 침투선은 유선이라는 원리에 의하여 연구를 수행하였다. 미지의 침투선을 해석하기 위하여 Galerkin 원리에 기초를 둔 유한요소법에 의하여 다공체속을 흐르는 정류상태의 침투수를 해석하여 실험치와 이론치를 비교하였고 그 결과 이론치와 실험치가 거의 일치함을 알았다. 결론적으로 침투선해석에 있어서 유한요소법이 실험적인 방법보다 더 실용적이라는 것을 알았다.

댐 제체 및 침투수 흐름의 지열학적 고찰 (A Study on Geothermal Characteristics of Dam Body and Seepage Flow)

  • In recent geotechnical engineering, geothermal approach has been on the horizon to deal with geoenvironmental issues, freezing and thawing problems, and seepage phenomenon in dams and embankments. In this study, geothermal characteristic through inner body of dams and its influence on the seepage flow were experimented by lab test and field instrumentation. Also, one of up-to-date temperature monitoring technique, called as multi-channel thermal line sensing, was evaluated its availability. As a result of lab test, it is found that the seepage flow has influence on the geothermal characteristic and a potential of finding phreatic line and seepage fluctuation could be possible by continuous temperature monitoring using thermal line sensing skills. These kine of geothermal information could be available to the modelling of water geo-structure interaction. Out of short-term field tests, clear water table and temperature distribution of a dam were easily found through temperature monitoring in holes located near a reservoir and holes within a depth of constant temperature layer. However, it is also found that the geothermal flow and finding seepage line could not be easily understandable through multi-channel temperature monitoring because of the existence of constant temperature field, thermal conductivity of soils and rocks, and unsaturated characteristics of geo-material. In this case, long-term geothermal monitoring is recommended to find sudden fluctuation of seepage line and amount of leakage.

비정상침투에 의한 증축제체의 침투거동과 안정성 (The Seepage Behaviour and Stability of Extension Embankment by Unsteady State Seepage)

  • 본 연구에서는 증축하천제방의 침투거동과 안정성을 평가하기 위하여, 증축부의 투수계수와 홍수시 강우로 인한 수위상승속도를 3가지 경우로 변화시켜 가면서 평행흐름조건에서 침투모형실험과 유한요소해석을 통한 침윤선 변화와 홍수직후의 수위급상승시 제체사면의 안정성을 분석하여 제체침식에 대한 사면의 불안정성을 검토하였다. 침투모형실험은 평행흐름조건에서 서로 다른 증축재료의 투수계수 $k_1$, $k_2$, $k_3$와 홍수시 발생 가능한 수위상승속도 $v_1$, $v_2$, $v_3$를 각각 변화시키며 수행되었다. 증축체제의 침투거동은 증축부의 투수계수가 클수록 초기 침투거리가 길고, 제체하류사면에 유출점이 점차로 상승하며 시간에 따른 안전율이 감소하면서 국부적인 붕괴로 이어지는 불안정한 침투거동을 보여준다. 또한, 제체사면의 붕괴양상은 수위상승속도가 증가할수록 붕괴발생높이와 붕괴깊이가 증가함을 보여준다.

  • The purpose of this study is the infiltration characteristics of soil cut-slope by rainfall. Stability analysis of soil cut-slopes has been conducted by limit equilibrium method on Seep/w and finite element method on Slope/w. Result is same as following. First. the hour when seepage line and groundwater in contact is proportionate from rainfall rate condition and upper natural slope gradient condition which is identical. Second, when seepage line and groundwater is contact, seepage line moves gradually at soil cut-slope surface. Finally, seepage line is formed similarly with soil cut-slope gradient. Third, when rainfall is ended, from the recording upper natural slope where the hour will pass it is stabilized

수평흐름에 의한 제방모형내의 비정상침투에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Non-Steady State Seepage in the Levee Model by Parallel Water Flow)

  • 수평흐름에 의한 제체내의 비정상침투류를 실험을 통하여 구명한 것으로 흐름의 속도와 수위의 변동에 따른 제체내에서의 침투류영향을 고려하므로써 하천제방의 안정성증대에 목적을 두었다. 실험은 투수계수가 서로 다른 3가지 모델($K_1=3.52{\times}10^{-1}cm/sec$, $K_2=1.94{\times}10^{-1}cm/sec$, $K_3=4.19{\times}10^{-2}cm/sec$)에 대하여, 각기 흐름의 속도를 60, 70, 80, 90 cm/sec로 변화시키고 동시에 수위를 상승 또는 하강시키는 방법으로 제체내에 발생하는 수위변화를 실험을 통하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 제체내의 침투현상은 제체의 투수계수가 크고, 흐름의 속도가 작을수록 유속의 변화에 따른 영향을 많이 받음을 알 수 있으며, 제외지 수위의 상승과 강하에 따른 배면부 및 표면부에서의 수위가 유속의 영향에 따라 변화함을 알 수 있다.

Small Dam의 斜面安定 解析 (The Analysis of the Slope Stability for the Small Dam)

  • The paper decribes a procedure for the evaluation of the effect of seepage force on stability of slopes. The stability of an embankment impounding a water reservoir is highly depend upon the location of seepage line with the embankment. To evaluate the accurate safety factor of an embankment, it is important to illustrate the seepage phenomenon. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of reservoir level. Seepage forces in embankments are easily determined interest is the stability following a rapid change of resrvoir level. Seepage forces in embankments are easily detemined if frictional forces are expressed in relation to hydraulic gradient I. If a piezometer is inserted into a body of embankment, the level to which fee water rises is a measure of the energy at that point.

침투력을 고려한 사면안정의 이론적 해석 (The Theoritical Analysis of the Slope Stability subjected to Seepage Force)

  • 사면안정 해석에 있어서 기존의 연구는 대부분 침투력의 값을 고려하지 않고 안전율을 계산하여 왔다. 그러나 비정상 침투시 침투력은 안전율에 많은 영향을 미친다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사면안정해석에 있어서 침투력의 영역이 사면의 안전율에 미치는 영향이 큰 것을 확인하기 위해서 Bishop's Simplified Method를 이용하여 이론적으로 침투력을 고려한 안전율계산 수식을 유도하였다. 사면안정 이론식의 전개방법은 제체에 침윤선이 형성될 경우 침윤선을 기준으로 각 절편을 수중상태와 습윤상태로 구분하고, 이 습윤상태의 절편토체에 작용하는 침투력을 고려하여 사면안정수식을 해석했다.

보강제체사면의 침투거동평가 (Evaluation of The Seepage Behavior for Reinforced Embankment)

  • To estimate the behavior of reinforced and unreinforced embankment constructed on a impermeable foundation ground, a laboratory model test was performed for two types of soils and water level increasing velocity of a flood period. The experiment models were constructed with slopes of water level is 1.25cm/min, 2.5cm/min each. From model test results, as the slope of reinforced and unreinforced embankment was the slower, the more seepage line rised. In the unreinforced embankment, the rising velocity of water level was the faster, the larger the embankment failure was. And the reinforced embankment with geotextile was the more safe than the unreinforced embankment for seepage force.
