  • In this paper, we present two verifier-based multi-party PAKE (password-authenticated key exchange) protocols. The shared key can be used for secure content transmission. The suggested protocols are secure against server compromise attacks. Our first protocol is designed to provide forward secrecy and security against known-key attacks. The second protocol is designed to additionally provide key secrecy against the server which means that even the server can not know the session keys of the users of a group. The suggested protocols have a constant number of rounds are provably secure in the standard model. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed protocols are the first secure multi-party PAKE protocols against server compromise attacks in the literature.

  • In this paper we propose a secure multicast key distribution protocol using OFT(One-way Function Trees). The proposed protocol is a hybrid scheme of DKMP(Distributed Key Management Protocol) that guarantees all group member's participation for generating a group key, and CKMP(Centralized Key Management Protocol) that makes it easy to manage group key and design a protocol. Since the proposed protocol also computes group key using only hash function and bitwise-XOR, computational overhead ran be reduced. Hence it is suitably and efficiently adaptive to dynamic multicast environment that membership change event frequently occurs.

  • In order to securely transmit multicast data packets in a mobile environment where frequent join/leave events are a characteristic of the environment, there is a need for a new secure and efficient group key management solution. We propose a secure group key generation/distribution solution providing scalability and reliability. Using this solution, when a mobile node, which is in a multicast session, enters a new domain, the agent of the domain joins the multicast session and coordinates its data packets with the mobile node. The agent encrypts and transmits subsequent data packets to the mobile node, using a local one-time pad key. This key is generated with FI sequences, enabling the mobile node to regenerate the same data packet, based on the information sent by the agent. Our performance analysis demonstrates that the proposed solution can significantly reduce the number of key generations and distributions, when it is applied to the hierarchical mobile IPv6 network.

  • This paper proposed a model supporting secure mechanism both group communication service and subgroup communication service of TETRA system that the standard developed by the technical committee Radio Equipment and Systems(RES) of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute(ETSI) provides a pure digital information technology for the transmission of speech and data. In each scheme, members in a subgroup maintains its subgroup key, which is not distributed, but computed by each member in the subgroup only with his own secret information and public values and secure subgroup members in a same subgroup can communication securely each other by using their subgroup key. Also, all members in group can share securely a group key. In communication services of TETRA system, this model supports mechanism for both group and subgroup communication are simultaneously needed.

  • While a lot of important information is being sent and received on the Internet, the information could be exposed to many threats, and the more the Multicast Service is various and generalized, the more the service range is widened. When a new member joins in or leaves from the Multicast Group, the Group Key, which the existing member use for, should be newly updated. The existing method had a problem that the performance was depreciated by the key exchanging. This paper proposes the effective group management mechanism for a secure transmission of the Multicast Data on the Multicast Group.

  • Recently, the popularity of smart devices such as Wi-Fi and LTE has increased the use ratio of wireless dramatically. On the other hand, the use ratio of wired internet is decreasing. The IoT(Internet of Things) is not only for people but also for communication between people and things, and communication between things and things by connecting to a wireless without choosing a place. Along with the rapid spread of the IoT there is a growing concern about the threat of IoT security. In this paper, the proposed scheme is a efficiency group key agreement in IoT environment that guarantees secure communication among light-weight devices. The proposed scheme securely be able to communication with the group devices who share a group key, generated by own secret value and the public value. Such property is suitable to the environment which are required a local area and a group.

  • Secure multimedia multicast applications involve group communications where group membership requires secured dynamic key generation and updating operations. Such operations usually consume high computation time and therefore designing a key distribution protocol with reduced computation time is necessary for multicast applications. In this paper, we propose a new key distribution protocol that focuses on two aspects. The first one aims at the reduction of computation complexity by performing lesser numbers of multiplication operations using a ternary-tree approach during key updating. Moreover, it aims to optimize the number of multiplication operations by using the existing Karatsuba divide and conquer approach for fast multiplication. The second aspect aims at reducing the amount of information communicated to the group members during the update operations in the key content. The proposed algorithm has been evaluated based on computation and communication complexity and a comparative performance analysis of various key distribution protocols is provided. Moreover, it has been observed that the proposed algorithm reduces the computation and communication time significantly.

  • Recently, Hao et al. proposed a privacy preservation protocol based on group signature scheme for secure vehicular communications to overcome a well-recognized problems of secure VANETs based on PKI. However, although efficient group signature schemes have been proposed in cryptographic literatures, group signature itself is still a rather much time consuming operation. In this paper, we propose a more efficient privacy preservation protocol than that of Hao et al. In order to design a more efficient anonymous authentication protocol, we consider a key-insulated signature scheme as our cryptographic building block. We demonstrate experimental results to confirm that the proposed protocol is more efficient than the previous scheme.

  • Many researches have proposed key management schemes for Smartgrid System. However, previous studies lack the proper considerations for availability and device security. In this paper, we build up cryptographic security improvement for robust Smartgrid Systems. In addition, we propose a public-key management and hash function architecture for robust Smartgrid Systems which supports reduces the number of key and Secure Device in AMI network environments.

  • Bresson et al. have recently proposed an efficient group key agreement scheme well suited for a wireless network environment. Although it is claimed that the proposed scheme is provably secure under certain intractability assumptions, we show in this paper that this claim is unfounded, breaking the allegedly secure scheme in various ways.
