A review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) using electroacupuncture (EA) to treat patients with foot drop was performed to analyze the effectiveness of EA for this condition. Relevant studies (n = 183) from 7 databases (Cochrane Library, Excerpta Medica Database, PubMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Korean Studies Information Service System, Research Information Sharing Service, and Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System) were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and 12 RCTs met the selection criteria. In all 12 studies, EA showed significantly positive changes. In most indicators, positive changes were observed in the EA group compared with that in the control group. Significant increases were confirmed in muscle strength-related indicators such as the Fugl-Meyer motor scale, surface electromyography, active range of motion, and gait-related indicators such as the Tinetti score, maximum walking speed, and Berg balance scale. No notable adverse events were reported. EA is suggested as an effective treatment for post-stroke foot drop; however, more RCTs are required.

Purpose: To compare and analyze current state of domestic and foreign educational program to develop a program and provide basic information for qualitative improvement of the program. Method: Referred to records and used various methods as searching on the Internet. Analyzing methods and standards are as follow : 1) As for the current status of domestic educational program, find out about organizations that conduct the program 2) As for the current status of foreign program, find out about United States, Canada and United Kingdom. 3) As for comparison and analysis, find out about curriculum, subject, the number of people, content, cost and time. Results: In comparison and analysis of subjects and program, United States, Canada and U. K. specified the subjects according to occupations to offer various programs appropriate for special occupational situations whereas domestic program only provide education of CPR and usage of AED. Foreign countries provide sufficient time from 5.5 to 40 hours according to occupations. In contrast, Korea only provide 2-4 hours of educations, which is insufficient to master techniques of first aid. In addition, foreign countries precisely regulate organizations that fulfill the qualification and specific guidelines for content of education. However, Korea doesn't have any standards of qualification or guidelines. Discussion: It is necessary to specify first aid education according to occupations to provide diverse programs. Furthermore, it is necessary to establish nationwide regulations for subjects and content of the programs of the first responder.

Smart devices such as smart phone, smart TV, tablet, game consoles embrace all categories of Intelligent Communication Device, which enables intelligent applications to be developed, by up loading Context-aware Computing technology that recognizes and reacts nearby diverse phenomena and composing these information, as well as their basic functions. This paper, after saving pre-registered students' movement course and business places harmful to them into students safety network service system, by using location-based service and searching students' movement, considering the degree of breaking away from their regular course, the access to and their stay in crime-crone area, provides the comparative analysis of the system and suggests the ways for safe students guidance.

A number of Internet application services are used with the development of Internet backbone nowadays. Well-known services such as WWW, ]n, email are provided at first time. Tremendous unwell-known services are presented according to the demands of various contents. After analyzing PDU information of the packet using unwell-known port travelling on the internet, searching internet service type and its statistical data is provided with internet traffic analyst as very useful information. This paper presents the mechanism to extract the internet application services operated on (un)well-known port of UDP or TCP used occasionally through netflow and tcpdump method introduced by ethereal and the operation scheme of the service. Afterwards to get the detailed statistics of the analyzed application service, the agent and the server environment, the agent gathering raw data traffics and the server adapting the traffic received from the agent BNF(Backus-Naur Form) method, is also introduced. Adapting the presented mechanism eve. LAN of Andong national university, the internet traffic service type and the detailed statistics of the analyzed application services which provides with internet traffic analyst are presented as very useful information.

Sixteen provincial Research Institute of Education and Science(RISE) in the country have provided good qualified multimedia educational materials that was produced by some special skilled teachers to elementary, middle and high school teachers using web services. And moreover KERIS and KICE have also produced educational materials and have a plan to integrate distributed multimedia educational materials that RISE produced. The development of KERIS's KEM metadata in 2001 and the making of educational material metadata of RISE is the first step of integration plan. These metadata can be used to make integration plan possible. But before taking integration plan, the study of how to integrate and manage it should be performed. Therefore, this paper introduces the technique of XML web service and JDBC with 3-tier system as the method of integrate distributed educational material metadata. The evaluation shows these two methods have similar response time with MS SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 9i. Thus, we conclude that JDBC and XML web service can be the proper solution to search XML-formatted metadata.

Context-Aware is a one of the important researches in ubiquitous computing for providing optimal service to users by acquiring user's intentions and environmental information. Diverse researches are focused on the users and its environment facts for Context-Aware base and introduce a sensing based middleware which engages sever/sensor that operates identifier information to provide services. Context-Aware service which is limited by users and environment facts has the problem of overlapping sensing, unnecessary searching and anonymity of users. Also Server-Centric Context-Aware system requires very high cost to manage and operate the services. On this paper, We introduce Autogenous Context service model to simplify the Context-Aware process and design the middleware which performs decentralize management for Context-Aware information of user's portable devices to minimize problems which is occurred during the management and operation of existing Context-Aware system.

In the field of Korean medicine (KM), KM terms has been mixed used for a long period. After the Society of KM had systematically organized the KM terms used in our country, the book for the Korean medical standard terminologies was published. In this study, we developed an online service based on the book. The online service provides various useful functions for searching the terms and their commentary and collecting users' opinions. Users can also compare the standard terms with their semantic search results and naver's knowledge search results within our system. By analyzing logs of our system, we suggested several directions for future development, including the improvement of search functions, advertisements, and the provision of open APIs. In the future, our online service might provide the important information on clinics, academic researches, and international standards.

Although the increase in number of the programs provides rich entertainment to viewers, it also has caused a negative of making it hard for viewers to find out their favorite programs. To address the problem, several researches have been performed mainly focusing on the technologies to analyze a viewer's TV watching-patterns and to recommend a program (or a channel) based on the analysis when a viewer changes channels. The researches, however, have the trouble of frequently failing to choose proper programs because, in the real-world broadcasting circumstance, the programs are re-broadcast over a number of the channels and a set of programs of a genre are usually playing in the overlapped times. To avoid the trouble, the data service, proposed in the paper, allows a viewer to book "explicitly" his/her favorite programs and provides a set of functions of listing up the booked program's broadcasting schedules and reserving viewing or recording the booked programs.

This study tends to apprehend how much public library contributes to a role of upbuilder of digital integrated local society through a survey. For this, I performed the survey on 935 organization of public library in the whole country registered in national library statistical system. As a result, firstly, it's apprehended that equipment infra, Internet infra, etc like computer, laptop, scanner, tablet PC, etc are in relatively high level. Secondly, service or resource like electronic book, digital and virtual reference service, library service mobile App, etc that users can use are in relatively high level but software supporting cooperation and group task, fusibility of participating space, etc are shown very low level. Thirdly, the rate of literacy training relating to technology were only 22.4%, education subject focused on resource searching subject and somewhat future-oriented technical education like directions of video conference technique, cloud computing application education, etc wasn't conducted. Finally, we should consider expansion of providing technology and equipment and provision of future-oriented service and education according to a flow of the time that needs to seek change in various roles of library as enjoying culture space or creative space.

Our country does not currently have a concrete policy for the management and preservation of the scientific dataset on the national level. The scientists and the research groups that are implementing a research project are not capable of searching or sharing the information about the dataset. In this situation where there is a major increase in the number of researches that use digitalized dataset, being able to share and reuse the scientific data amongst researchers is recognized to be very important. Therefore our country needs a new formulated policy that manages scientific data on the national level. This paper helps to find the implications of the strategic planning in our country by analyzing previous advanced case studies done by foreign countries. We selected Australia as our subject because its intensive government-driven research environment, research infrastructure and information service are very similar to Korea. To be specific, we analyzed ANDS (Australian National Data Service) and drew out the implications that could be applied to our country also. And finally we propose the basic principles that needs to be mirrored when formulating a policy on our country's scientific data.
