동지나해(東支那海)의 토사이동경로(土砂移動經路) (Sediment Transport Paths of the East China Sea)

  • 황해(黃海) 및 동지나해(東支那海)의 비선형조석(非線形潮汐)모델을 이용(利用)하여 대륙붕상(大陸棚上)의 평균(平均), 최대해저마찰응력(最大海底摩擦應力) 및 평균(平均), 최대토사이동(最大土砂移動)포텐셜을 구(求)하였다. 모델로부터 산정(算定)된 평균(平均), 최대해저마찰응력(最大海底摩擦應力)의 분포(分布)와 토사이동경로(土砂移動經路)와의 연관성(聯關性)에 대(對)한 초기추정(初期推定)이 이루어졌다.

A note on the Geostrophically Controlled Volume Transport of the Tgushima Current

  • A simple analytic model for estimating the volume transport of the Tsushima Current is considered by assuming that the transports through the connecting channels, the Korea and Tsugaru Straits, are geostrophically controled. The model gives a much simpler form of solution than that by Minato and Kimura (1980). It depends no longer on the geometry of the marginal sea and on the thickness of western boundary layer relative to the dimension of the ocean, but considers the geometry of the connecting channels ignored by Nof (1993). The external parameters turn out to be the oceanic meridional sea level difference between the two channels, the depth of the channels and the meridional position of the marginal sea. For typical value of the depth ratio of the channels to the ocean, the model gives an estimate of the Tsushima Current transport of acceptable magnitude.

Data analysis of simulated fuel-loaded sea transportation tests under normal conditions of transport

  • In this study, to evaluate the shock and vibration load characteristics of used fuel, a sea transportation test was conducted using simulated fuel assemblies under normal transport conditions. An overall test data analysis was performed based on the measured strain and acceleration data obtained from cruise, rotation, acceleration, braking, depth of water, and rolling tests. In addition, shock response spectrum and power spectral densities were obtained for each test case. Amplification and attenuation characteristics were investigated based on the load path. The load was amplified as it passed from the overpack to the simulated used fuel-assembly. As a result of the RMS trend analysis, the fuel-loading position of the transportation package affected the measured strain in the fuel rod, and the maximum strains were obtained at the spans with large spacing. However, even these maximum strains were very small compared to the fatigue strength and the cladding yield strength. Moreover, the fuel rods located on the side exhibited a larger strain value than those at the center.

중규모 국지순환에서 이산화황의 농도예측에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Prediction of SO2 Concentration in local Circulation of Mesoscale)

  • The Characteristics of atmospheric flow and dispersion of air pollutants in the mountainous coastal area were studied using two-dimensional model by the combination of land-sea breezes and transport. The pollutants emitted into the simulated wind field in considering with the mesoscale local circulations. The typical effects of land-sea breezes and tophography of coastal area on the dispersion are discussed in detail, and the model is proved as an useful tool to pridict real time pollutant transport by the results of application studies in Pusan, Korea where the urbanized coastal area with mountainous topography. It was found that sulfur dioxide ($SO_2$) are differently transported and concentrated as going inland by the influence of the sea breeze with topographic changes.   • We proposed the concatenation of logistics' Information to constructing the intelligent logistics city that is to manage efficiently cargo distribution as providing at real-time information of cargo location trace and management through the Telematics/RFID. Case of the Incheon of the "Air Logistics Hub", this area is on an increasing trend on the quantity of cargo transport of the Air & Sea cargo system until 2006. As intelligent project of the Air's and the Sea's field is independently developed at each area, it is a problem on the concatenation of logistics' information such as freight location trace and management, operation management and route information of cargo vehicles. Therefore, we propose the advanced transport service model for the concatenating smoothly of Air & Sea cargo system. In this paper, we only manage the model of Air & Sea cargo system of the advance logistics city.

  • 각 원자력 발전소에서 발생되는 방사성폐기물을 한 곳에 모아 집중관리하기 위한 방사성폐기물 처분장의 부지선정이 국가적 과제로 부각되어 있으며, 충분한 검토를 거친 후 임해부지로 선정될 것이다. 이로 인하여 현재 각 원전부지내에 임시로 보관되어 있는 방사성폐기물에 대하여 전용선박에 의한 해상수송을 하여야 하면, 한국원자력연구소의 원자력환경관리센터(NEMAC)에서는 원전부지로부터 처 분장까지 안전하고 효율적으로 방사성폐기물을 수송할 수 있는 종합해상 수송체계를 개발중에 있다. 이 글은 해상수송체계가 갖추어야 할 수송선박의 기술기준을 설정하기 위한 것으로, 원자력 선진국의 진보된 방사성폐기물 해상수송기술에 관한 현황을 조사, 분석하고 국내의 제반여건을 고려하여 우리나라에서 사용될 수송선박의 설계 및 건조추진방향을 제시하였다. 따라서, 만일의 사고에도 방사성물질이 선박의 외부로 누출되지 않는 개념의 선박을 설계, 건조하여 방사성폐기물을 안전하게 해상수송하게 될 것이다.

Modeling of Sediment Transport and Sand Bank Formation in a Macrotidal

  • A two-dimensional numerical model was applied to investigate the sediment transport and sand bank formation in a macrotidal sea, the Kyunggi and Asan Bays. The tidal residual currents show quite complex pattern including counter-rotating eddies off the northwestern corner of the Dugjeok Island that reflect the promontory effect. Complex residual eddies are also present off the coast of the Taeanbando and in the Asan Bay. Net sediment transport pattern shows that sandy sediments in the Kyunggi and Asan Bays are generally transported landward from the outer sea suggesting sediment trapping inside the bays. This phenomenon may be related to the formation and maintenance of numerous sand banks in this macrotidal sea. Alternate occurrences of deposition and erosion predicted from the numerical model along the coast of the Taeanbando with strong deposition on the southwestern part of the 'Jangansatoe'(JSB), a large sand ridge off the coast of the Taeanbando appear to reflect the loose connection of JSB, The 'Joongangcheontoe', a central sand bank (CSB) with the main axis in the NW-SE direction in the Asan Bay may undergo a modification with strong deposition along the northeastern flank. These results indicate that the sand banks are actively modified and maintained by the strong tidal currents in this shallow macrotidal sea.

해상교통안전진단제도 및 기술기준 연구 (A study on Maritime Safety Audit(MSA) and it's Guideline)

  • While the vessel become bigger and high speed, navigational passages become narrow due to an enlargement of all sorts of new ports, sea-crossing bridges and anchorages, leading to the high probability of marine accidents. Furthermore, a constant increase in the maritime transportation and the traffic volume on the sea led to a variety of sea traffic environments and it is a trend for the demand for the sea transportation environment to increase steadily. At this point of time, the Ministry of Land, Transport, and Maritime Affairs introduced the Korea Maritime Safety Laws evaluating the degree that The Safety Audit System for maritime transport, which evaluates the degree that all kinds of port facilities installed temporarily or installed into navigational passages, and the installations and repair constructions of S.O.C. facilities affect ships' traffic safety, was introduced through Korea Maritime Safety Laws and went into effect from November 28th, 2009. This study was performed to introduce an outline including the concept and purpose of the Maritime Safety Audit(MSA) system for maritime transport and the technological guidelines for scientific and standardized enforcement, thereby analyzing the system.

영국법상 Hague-Visby 규칙의 강행적 적용에 따른 지상약관의 효력에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of a Paramount Clause in Which the Hague-Visby Rules were Compulsorily Applicable under English Law)

  • In the case of a sea transport contract, the decision of the governing law, together with the choice of lex fori, shall be a legal issue in all legal disputes involving damage to the goods. In sea transport contracts, a paramount clause is often established in conjunction with the governing law clause, which can lead to conflict between these two clauses. Most B/L's back clauses contain a paramount clause that provides that the Hague Rules, Hague-Visby Rules, or foreign laws that prevail over other provisions of the terms. The Hague Rules and the Hague-Visby Rules, however, set different standards regarding the extent of the sea carrier's liability. Therefore, in the interpretation of ground conditions, it is an important question whether the Hague Rules or the Hague-Visby Rules are applied or whether each rule is applied as a law. For example, the paramount clause in the Superior Pescadores case was problematic in the interpretation of the term 'Hague Rules.' In this case, the English Court held that the expression 'Hague Rules' could be used to mean the Hague-Visby Rules, and not exclusively the Hague Rules. Therefore, the Hague-Visby Rules were applied in the judgment of this case, which suggests that this case can be a valuable precedent in future legal matters.

해공(Sea&Air)복합운송의 유통경로 및 포트폴리오 분석 (Origin/Destination and Portfolio Analysis of Sea&Air Intermodal Transportation)

  • 국제물류환경변화에 따라 국제복합운송의 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 상황에서 해공복합운송의 중요성은 더욱 높아지고, 적극적인 시장개발 등의 노력에 의해 추가적인 물량 확보가 충분히 가능하다. 본 연구의 목적은 복합운송의 국제유통경로분석과 포트폴리오분석을 통해 해공복합운송 화물유치를 위한 정책대안을 제시하는 것이다. 유통경로분석과 포트폴리오 분석결과, 우리나라 전체 해공복합운송 물동량의 88.1%를 차지하고 있는 Qingdao, Shanghai, Weihai, Yantai지역을 중심으로 구체적인 화물유치전략이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 제외한 지역들은 물동량이 매우 적고, 상대적으로 변동성이 매우 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 특히, Vladivostok, Dandong, Tianjinxingang은 지속적으로 물동량이 감소하여 성장률과 시장점유율이 낮아지고 있어, 이들 지역에 대해서는 공격적인 화물유치전략보다는 안정적인 화물유지전략이 필요할 것이다.
