  • The education should adapt learners well to any changes and have them create something for such a era. Form the point of this view. question sheet was developed for middle school students to improve their scientific creativity. For this study, 146 item questions, which was from chapter 7 about solar system movement in the 3rd grade textbook for middle school students, was developed. For 5 weeks, 142 third graders in middle school were chosen and observed. They were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The teaching model using question sheet was applied to the experimental group, while the traditional teaching model, to the control group. This study compared two groups based on scientific creativity and academic achievement. In both scientific creativity and academic achievement, the group using question sheet showed meaningful differences. This result of the analysis indicated that teaching model using question sheet stimulated student's creative thinking and helped them to achieve a goal of lesson. The teaching model using question sheet can be used as an effective way to increase students' creativity.

  • The purpose of this study was to study to the effect of presenting SBF questions on the level of conceptual achievement and eye movement of elementary students in seasonal constellation learning that requires systems thinking. In this study, the effectiveness of SBF questions was divided into experimental groups and comparison groups, and scientific texts with different question types were presented to analyze the level of conceptual achievement and differences in eye movement of sixth-grade elementary students. Data analysis quantitatively analyzed the pre- and post-test results of the developed concept test paper and the eye movement data when learning scientific texts related to seasonal constellations. As a result of the study, first, the SBF question was a valid learning strategy for learning seasonal constellations. The SBF question showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in the pre- and post-test between groups, and a statistically significant difference (p<0.001) in the pre- and post-test within the group. Second, SBF questions had a positive effect on students' learning by inducing learners with low preconceptions to area of interest that help them achieve concepts. In other words, when presenting SBF questions with visual data from a space-based perspective, it was confirmed based on the results of eye movement analysis that there was a significant difference in total fixation count (p<0.01) of learners. On the other hand, for learners with high scientific preconceptions, the effect of exploration was not significant because the preconceptions of the learners themselves acted as a hard core rather than the effect of SBF questions. This study is different from existing seasonal constellation learning studies in that it provides quantitative data through pre- and post-test and eye movement analysis in the seasonal constellation learning process, and can help elementary students learn seasonal constellations.

  • Hot-smoke testing in Australia has progressed to the stage where there is an Australian Standard for these tests. The purpose of such tests is twofold: firstly they can validate computer modeling predictions for smoke movement, and secondly they can demonstrate that the smoke control systems and associated fire safety systems function satisfactorily. Hot-smoke tests were carried out in March 1997 at two of Sydney's underground railway stations, namely St James and Museum. The purpose of the tests was to demonstrate that the smoke control systems performed their functions as intended. Tests were carried out in the concourses and on the platforms, and trains ran during the tests so that the effect of moving trains on smoke movement could be observed. A total of five tests were carried out and video recordings were taken of each. This is the first time that hot-smoke tests have been carried out in an underground station with trains running. The paper discusses some of the interesting observations and the problems identified by the tests.

  • This paper proposes a precision displacement measuring method of detecting fringe movement of interferograms with a nanometric resolution. It is well known that the laser interferometer plays a useful and essential role in scientific and industrial application, but they have such error sources as an unequal gain of detectors, imbalanced beams, and lack of quadrature. These error sources degrade the accuracy of the interferometer. However, the fringe movement of interferograms has little relation with these error sources. In order to investigate performance of the proposed method. analysis and simulation were executed over random noise and wavefront distorion. Results of the simulation show that the proposed method is robust against these errors. Experiment was implemented to verify this method.

  • This study is to research on the rate of expansion or contraction according to movement of the lower body of the man their twenties using Rapid Form software. And aim of this study is to get information of ease allowance in developing slacks pattern using 3D body surface scan data through comparison with existing slacks patterns. Considering on the contraction and expansion according to movement, it need to set the more ease allowance in hip circumference than waist circumference, and the more ease allowance in back hip width than front hip width in slacks. In crotch length, the length of front crotch is revealed contraction but the length of back crotch is revealed expansion. It is desirable lowering front waist line and raising back waist line to possess ease allowance in back crotch area. The length of side seam is revealed a little expansion but the length of inseam is showed a great expansion. To develop slacks pattern of scientific approach using 3D body surface scan data, it need to analysis the rate of expansion and contraction of the lower body based on the movement, shear deformation, slip in fabrics and skin, or in fabrics and fabrics, and slip down from waist line.

  • As a part of Avant-Garde movement centered in Russia before and after the Revolution in 1917, Russian Constructivism was born as most experimental and avant-garde modernity artistic movement. Russian Constructivism played a significant part in relative to Avant-Garde in the beginning of twentieth century and has contributed to a series of artistic movement, it deserves a status befitting its contribution to modem abstract art. Noticing the fact that Constructivist approaches are being attempted in modern architecture with the new rise of Constructivist design theory and increased interest in Constructivism, this thesis explores the design elements characterizing Constructivism in art and architecture To be specific, it suggests the relation of Plastic paradigm in formalistic, elemental and technical aspects and categories into Plastic characteristics. Thereby, the thesis aims to categorize the elements in terms of contradicting two trends of pure plastic and scientific expressions, and to analyze comparatively the related Plastic trends represented in modern space design. The thesis recolonizes that attempts to break out from stereotypes of Constructivism to reinvent itself constantly have contributed to an unconventional forms and new aesthetic standards and have a great impact on idealistic forms in many genres.

  • In the Japanese garden, a unique planting design has been used to improve visual harmony with the surrounding landscape by planting plants around the objects that are not harmonious with surrounding landscape. In this study, physiopsychological effects of plants caused by a traditional planting skill used in Japanese garden was verified in terms of visual relaxation using eye movement recording and semantic differential method. A total of fourteen Japanese volunteers(seven male and seven female) who have normal vision(aged $21{\sim}28$) participated as subjects. Experiment was carried out in the sealed room of Chiba University in Japan. Four different types of scenery models were presented which were created by combination of the three landscape factors of the surrounding background, the object that disturbs visual harmony, and the trees planted for improving visual harmony with the surrounding landscape. In the results, significantly more gaze fixations were measured on the trees than on the object and higher values in positive feelings were recorded for the stimuli with proper planting combination. Our results indicated that proper tree planting can cause physiopsychological relaxation by improving visual harmony with the surrounding landscape and provided new evidence for supporting scientific validity of the traditional planting skills.

  • Since the beginning of the millennium, 'Maker Movement' has been active throughout the world. Today, there is a maker fair every year in major cities of the world including Seoul, and the number of attendees is increasing day by day, so it can be seen as a kind of maker 'phenomenon'. The positive implication of the maker's movement is that it attempts to break down the monopoly of manufacturing and to restore the rights and capabilities of citizens as makers. Today, highly developed industrial capitalism has a tendency to structurally paralyse citizens, to tie their hands and feet, and to degenerate into consuming entities only. Therefore, it can be said that the maker movement has structural tensions in the relationship of neoliberal manufacturing culture. This study is an attempt to actively interpret the maker movement in terms of "critical making". The maker movement can trace its origins to "counterculture" and "new communalism" that emerged in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. On the other hand, there is criticism that the maker movement can fall into another technology utopianism and function as an area of consumer society, and mobilize it in the direction of activating consumerism. Although the maker's movement is amorphous due to its characteristics and it is currently in progress, it is difficult to make crude definition yet. However, as the citizens who have been defined only as consumers of science and technology, are newly emerging as producers of makers, there have been great changes in the topography of science and technology and civil society. So the scientific implication of the maker movement is great in that it shows the possibility of causing it.

  • Korean Oriental Medicine has experienced the fluctuation of its status since modernization started. At the beginning of the modernization, Korean Oriental Medicine faced the crisis of disappearance and, nowadays, its status has risen to the very important position in the medical system of Korea. Korean Oriental Medical doctors have obtained the position of medical profession and enjoyed the exclusive privileges. The study on the status of Korean Oriental Medicine is an interesting subject field in the sense that the empirical research on the social factors concerning the status fluctuation of medical profession in non-western world can be done. Few studies on the social status of Korean Oriental Medicine have been found so far in spite of its ample implication of the subject. This paper conducted the questionnaire survey in order to investigate the views of Korean Oriental Medical doctors about the status of Korean Oriental medicine, factors for the improvement of its status, and the cultivating methods of Korean Oriental Medicine. Depending on the demographic features of Korean Oriental Medical doctors, first, the attitude toward the status of Korean Oriental Medicine was analyzed. The criteria to be investigated were the present and future status of Korean Oriental Medicine. Second, the items for the status improvement of Korean Oriental Medicine was analyzed under the criteria of specialization and scientific movement of Korean Oriental Medicine. Third, the stance of Korean Oriental Medical doctors on the cultivating methods of Korean Oriental Medicine was analyzed under the criteria of the level of awareness of and attitude toward Korean Oriental Medicine.
