  • The document delivery service has been influenced by the changing digital information environment and the copyright law. This paper proposes the key points for the improved documents delivery service through trend analysis of BL(The Great Britain), NLA(Australia), subito(German speaking countries), JST(Japan), KISTI(Korea) and KERIS(Korea) and copyright law in each country. The purpose of this study is providing with the clues for developing strategies that can satisfy the users' needs in document delivery service for libraries and information centers.

An Empirical Approach to the Influence of IT Assets Security and Information Security Service on Information Security Qualify and Satisfaction (IT자산 안전성과 정보보호 서비스가 정보보호 품질 및 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증연구)

  • In the era of the internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) Security and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security quality positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets Security and Information Security Service influence informations security qualify positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets Security and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

A Study on the Development of Curriculum Track for Civil Service Librarian

  • The goal of this study is to improve the competitiveness of professional librarians in society. To this end, we analyzed domestic and international LIS curriculum, determined demand from field librarians through a survey, carried out job analysis by library types, and developed an operating model for LIS curriculum by synthesizing all of these results. Finally, we suggested a course of study for civil service librarians based on this model. As a result, the six required courses for civil service librarians are: Introduction to Library and Information Science, Information Organization, Information Services (Reference and Information Services), Library Management, Information Retrieval, and Field Work. The four core courses for the civil service concentration are: Collection Development, Information Sources by Subjects, Public Library Management, and Digital Libraries. Suggested electives best suited to this career path include Using Web Resources, Information Literacy, Information Services in Culturally Diverse Communities, Library Marketing, Libraries and Cultural Programs, Reading Guidance, Library History, Small Library Management, Studies in Library Buildings, Library Cooperation, Managing Digital Collections, and Information and Communication in a Digital Age.

  • The requirements to use high speed internet under wireless environment are increased. To satisfy the requirements. the WiBro service combining high speed of wired internet service with mobility of wireless internet service will be launched as an alternative. This paper reviews and analyzes its overview, features, and comparison with existing mobile internet and wireless LAN in the information providing aspect. This paper also proposes how to adapt mobile information service and how to satisfy the requirements to construct mobile library based on the WiBro service. With the current problems in mobile-based information services provided by libraries. especially this paper proposes information service areas. considerations to provide information services, and service provisioning method based on the WiBro service.

Asymptotic Analysis on Service Differentiation with Customer Arrival Information (고객 도착 정보를 이용한 서비스 차별화에 관한 점근적 분석)

  • An interesting problem in capacitated supply chains is how to guarantee customer service levels with limited resources. One of the common approaches to solve the problem is differentiating service depending on customer classes. High-priority customers receive a better service at the cost of low-priority customers' service level. One of common criteria to determine a customer's priority in practice is whether he has made a reservation before arrival or not. Customers with a reservation usually receive service based on the time the reservation was made. We examine the effect this advance information of customer arrival has on customer service levels. We show the trade-offs between the leadtime and other system characteristics such as the proportion of high-priority customers. when the service level is high. We also suggest how to differentiate service using the asymptotic ratio of the service levels for both types of customers.

  • N-Screen Service는 하나의 Content를 다양한 Device에서 사용가능하게 해주는 Service를 의미한다. 현재 N-Screen Service는 Content Service 형태로 봤을 때 OSMU(One Source Multi Use) Service를 제공한다. ASMU(Adaptive Source Multi Device) N-Screen Service의 조건으로 Device에 최적화된 Content를 제공하여야 한다. 이를 위해서는 Device에 최적화된 Content의 변환 및 Metadata의 이동이 자유로워야 한다. 본 논문에서는 ASMD를 지원하는 N-Screen Model을 제안한다. 특히 Home Network와 Cloud 사이의 Devicerks Content Metadata 이동과 Content 변환에 대한 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

  • [ $OntoFrame^{(R)}$ ] system provides information dissemination service and inference service, based on Semantic Web framework to fully support R&D activities. Although it is one of state-of-the-art systems in the viewpoint of functionality, we are not able to declare whether it has satisfiable usability because of the omission of usability test in development process. Thus, this research tries to reveal the usability level of the $OntoFrame^{(R)}$, and further to find ways to achieve a user-center system. Both 'theory-based assessment' by a software ergonomics expert and 'user test' by four users are used for evaluating the usability of the $OntoFrame^{(R)}$. We look forward this research to being a basic reference for practical systems aiming at satisfiable usability.

  • 정보 서비스를 포함한 웹 서비스에서 사용자 의도를 파악하는 것은 해당 사용자에게 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하기 위한 중요한 단서가 된다. 본 연구는 과학기술 대표 정보 서비스인 ScienceON에 맞춤형 서비스를 도입하기 위해 사용자가 해당 서비스를 사용하는 과정에서 발생시키는 사용자-서비스 간 상호작용인 사용자 행동을 분석하고 사용자 의도를 파악하여 동적으로 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하는 방식을 제안한다. 특히, 사용자 행동 상태 전이 모델을 도입하여 사용자가 반복적으로 행하는 검색 행동과 내비게이션 행동을 추적하고 의도를 파악할 수 있도록 한다. 288,200 건의 웹 로그 분석을 통해 만들어진 상태 전이 모델과 특정 사용자 로그를 분석하여 본 연구가 어떻게 사용자 의도를 파악할 수 있는 지를 보여준다.
