여고생의 착용교복에 대한 디자인 평가 및 교복 만족도 - 울산지역을 중심으로 - (The Evaluation for the Design & Satisfaction of the School Uniform in Girls' High School - Focusing on Ulsan -)

  • This research is aimed at analyzing the evaluation for the design and satisfaction/unsatisfaction of the autumn and winter school uniform targeting junior students and sophomore students at academical and vocational high schools located in Ulsan, Korea. For this research, SPSS 12.0 was used to measure the frequency and the t-test analysis of 396 data. The results of this study are as follows. The most important factor of autumn-winter school uniforms was heat-retainment. It was showed significant differences between sphere and grade. They also answered body shape' faults and figure emphasis as the most distressed factors. In the design of the school uniform, It was not show significant differences between sphere and grade. They considered the silhouette when they worn the school uniform as the most important factor. The primary factors in purchasing a uniform appeared to be price. Repair experiences after purchasing a school uniform found to count more among students. Examination about transformed parts of uniforms for the students with experiences in uniform modification showed that many students in the academic sphere modified length and width of upper wears, and length of skirt, while many students in the vocational sphere modified waist and hip. Junior grade than sophomore grade appeared to have modified in all parts.

청소년의 의복태도와 교복착용에 대한 태도 (Teenager's Attitudes toward Clothing & School Uniform)

  • Teenagers are fast in growth and very sensitive. They are more interested in appearance and clothing and they use it as a method of expressing themselves. Thus they show different attitudes toward clothing. This study is to survey teenagers' attitudes toward clothing, especially school uniform and to understand their psychological characteristics about clothing. The purpose of this study is to provide useful data in designing teenagers' school uniform which can serve to fulfill their clothing desire and beautiful school life. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. As of paradigm in clothing, they value individuality, economical efficiency, practicality, fashion, and conformity of clothes in the order of importance. They considered individuality value the most important. Students' preference of school uniform is not positive over all. About 60% of students support wearing uniform, and 50% like wearing uniform on the way to school. The reasons for wearing school uniform are psychological stability and economical efficiency. They think school uniform is well fitted for the student position and don't have to care about clothing if they wear school uniform. 63% of them prefer wearing famous brand but they think the price is too high. Comparing with male student, female students place more value on latest fashion and are more likely to purchase brand object than male students do. Female students have more experience in modification of school uniform than male students do. Based on the result of this study, we need to understand the students' attitudes toward school uniform and to accept demand of teenagers' idea in production of school uniform.

Variability of subgrade reaction modulus on flexible mat foundation

  • The subgrade reaction modulus of a large mat foundation was investigated by using a numerical analysis and a field case study. The emphasis was on quantifying the appropriate method for determining the subgrade reaction modulus for the design of a flexible mat foundation. A series of 3D non-linear FE analyses are conducted with special attention given to the subgrade reaction modulus under various conditions, such as the mat width, mat shape, mat thickness, and soil condition. It is shown that the distribution of the subgrade reaction modulus is non-uniform and that the modulus of subgrade reaction at both the corners and edges should be stiffer than that at the center. Based on the results obtained, a simple modification factor for the subgrade reaction modulus is proposed depending on the relative positions within the foundation in weathered soil and rocks.

여고생의 브랜드 교복 착용실태 조사 및 브랜드교복 제품치수 비교분석에 관한 연구 (A Survey on the Brand School Uniforms for High School Girl's and Comparative Analysis on Their Size System of Brand Uniform)

  • The purpose of this study is to research the difference between the size suggested by brand uniforms and the size suitable for high school girls. We compared and analyzed the size system of brand uniforms after researching the wearing conditions of uniforms of 4 brands (A, B, C, D) in order to establish a size system of brand uniforms that fits different body types of teenagers. First, we conduct research on the actual condition of brand uniforms worn by high school girls, and investigate unsatisfactory factors and problems. Second, we actually measure the uniform size of each brand and analyze measurement differences between each brand. Our results show each brand uniform has different size specifications and the importance of appropriate size specification is greater as students select uniform based on design and brand awareness rather than body size. Compared with the average body size the skirt and especially the blouse is much smaller with no extra room compared with standard size 85 blouses and size 71 skirts. Therefore, the adjustment of size specification is needed in brand school uniforms. However, a larger scale investigation is needed as this study was conducted with a limited sample size.

고등학교 여학생의 교복 디자인에 따른 교복 만족도 및 맞음새 연구 (A study on students' satisfaction with and perceived fit of high school girls' uniform designs)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate students' satisfaction with, perceived ease of movement of, and perceived fit of high school girls' uniforms according to the uniform design. "P" high school, with a one-piece dress-type uniform, and "H" high school, with a two-piece type uniform, were selected for this study. Sixty-five female students from each school participated in the study. The questionnaire was composed of 21 questions about the school uniforms' purchase behavior, design, fit, ease of movement, and modification and participants' demographic information. Students from both schools were generally satisfied with the uniform design. However, in the open-ended response section, many "P" high school students responded that the fact that the one-piece dress pulled up when sitting or raising the hand made it uncomfortable. On the other hand, "H" high school students responded that the skirt was uncomfortable, because it left the body or underwear exposed when the wind blew due to the many pleats in the skirt. In the assessment of the ease of movement, "P" high school students were more likely to describe the uniform as uncomfortable than "H" high school students. Many students responded that they modified their school uniforms, and the length of the skirt and one-piece dress was the main part that was modified. This study suggests that growing female high school students are unsatisfied with the school uniforms' design and fit. Additionally, the perceived fit and satisfaction levels depend on the uniform design.

Curcumin-Loaded PLGA Nanoparticles Coating onto Metal Stent by Electrophoretic Deposition Techniques

  • Restenosis after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) continues to be a serious problem in clinical cardiology. To solve this problem, drug eluting stents (DES) with antiproliferative agents have been developed. Variable local drug delivery systems in the context of stenting require the development of stent manufacture, drug pharmacology and coating technology. We have worked on a system that integrates electrophoretic deposition (EPD) technology with the polymeric nanoparticles in DES for local drug delivery and a controlled release system. The surface morphology and drug loading amount of DES by EPD have been investigated under different operational conditions, such as operation time, voltage and the composition of media. We prepared poly-D,L-lactide-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) nanoparticles embedded with curcumin, which was done by a modified spontaneous emulsification method and used polyacrylic acid (PAA) as a surfactant because its carboxylic group contribute negative charge to the surface of CPNPs (?53.5 ± 5.8 mV). In the process of ‘trial and error' endeavors, we found that it is easy to control the drug loading amount deposited onto the stent while keeping uniform surface morphology. Accordingly, stent coating by EPD has a wide application to the modification of DES using various kinds of nanoparticles and drugs.

  • 폐리튬이온전지의 리싸이클링을 위하여 폐전지의 기계적 처리에 의한 Co의 농축과 습식처리에 의한 Co의 회수기술이 개발되었다. 전 연구에서는 폐전지 리싸이클링의 부가가치를 향상시키기 위하여 Co 농축 침출액으로부터 양극활물질을 재합성하는 공정으로 citrate precursor combustion법을 제안하고 가능성을 확인하였다. 기존의 전극제조 공정에서는 활물질인 $LiCoO_2$와 첨가제인 탄소의 비중 및 크기 차이로 균일한 혼합이 이루어지지 않으므로 충방전 용량이 이론용량에 비하여 매우 낮고 또한 싸이클이 반복될수록 용량이 크게 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 본 연구에서는 합성된 $LiCoO_2$ 전극특성을 향상시키는 일환으로 합성공정의 개선을 통하여 초미립 $LiCoO_2$을 합성하였으며, 탄소 첨가시 혼합법의 개선에 의하여 우수한 충방전 특성을 갖는 리튬전지용 양극을 개발하였다.

Characterization of Cr-P-C/MoS2 composite plating electro-deposited from trivalent chromium

  • Chromium plating is a common surface treatment technique extensively applied in industry due its excellent properties which include substantial hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, surface color, and luster. In this study, the effect of $MoS_2$ particles of the composite coating was investigated. To improve the lubrication of mold, $Cr-P-C/MoS_2$ composite plating was studied by varying the $MoS_2$ content. The current efficiency of the composite plating incorporated $MoS_2$ particles was increased at $MoS_2$ contents of 0.5 and 1.0 g/l due to the incorporation of fine particles. On the other hand, when the content of $MoS_2$ is 1.0 g/l or more, the current efficiency is lowered due to an increase in impact on the cathode surface. In order to evaluate the mechanical properties of Scratch test were conducted. Scratch test confirmed the lubricity and abrasion resistance characteristics revealed that the composite plating with added $MoS_2$ had relatively low surface roughness and uniform surface modification to improve its properties.

One-pot synthesis of highly fluorescent amino-functionalized graphene quantum dots for effective detection of copper ions

  • In this work, a green and simple one-pot route was developed for the synthesis of highly fluorescent aminofunctionalized graphene quantum dots (a-GQDs) via hydrothermal process without any further modification or surface passivation. We synthesized the a-GQDs using glucose as the carbon source and ammonium as a functionalizing agent without the use of a strong acid, oxidant, or other toxic chemical reagent. The as-obtained aGQDs have a uniform size of 3-4 nm, high contents of amino groups, and show a bright green emission with high quantum yield of 32.8%. Furthermore, the a-GQDs show effective fluorescence quenching for $Cu^{2+}$ ions which can serve as effective fluorescent probe for the detection of $Cu^{2+}$. The fluorescent probe using the obtained aGQDs exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity toward $Cu^{2+}$ with the limit of detection as low as 5.6 nM. The mechanism of the $Cu^{2+}$ induced fluorescence quenching of a-GQDs can be attributed to the electron transfer by the formation of metal complex between $Cu^{2+}$ and the amino groups on the surface of a-GQDs. These results suggest great potential for the simple and green synthesis of functionalized GQDs and a practical sensing platform for $Cu^{2+}$ detection in environmental and biological applications.

Improved Field Emission by Liquid Elastomer Modification of Screen-Printed CNT Film Morphology

  • The effect of improvement on the surface morphology of screen-printed carbon nanotube (CND) films was studied by using the optically clear poly-dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) elastomer for surface treatment. After the PDMS activation treatment was applied to the diode-type CNT cathode, the entangled carbon nanotube (CNT) bundles were broken up into individual free standing nanotubes to remarkably improve the field-emission characteristics over the as-deposited CNT film. Also, the cathode film morphology of a top gated triode-type structure can be treated by using the proposed surface treatment technique, which is a low-cost process, simple process. The relative uniform emission image showed high brightness with a high anode current. This result shows the possibility of using this technique for surface treatment of large-size field emission displays (FEDs) in the future.
