Automatic Alignment System for Group Schedule of Event-based Real-time Response Web Processing using Node.js

  • A web application running on the Internet is causing many difficulties for a program developer, and it requires to process multiple sessions at the same time due to the occurrence of excessive traffic. Web applications should be able to process concurrent requests efficiently and in real time. Node.js is a single-threaded server-side JavaScript environment implemented in C and C ++ as one of the latest frameworks to implement event models across the entire stack. Nodes implement JavaScript quickly and robust to achieve the best performance using a JavaScript V8 engine developed by Google. In this paper, it will be explained the operation principle of Node.js, which is a lightweight real-time web server that can be implemented in JavaScript for real-time responsive web applications. In addition, this application was practically implemented through automatic alignment system for group scheduling to demonstrate event-based real-time response web processing.

A Study of linking methodology of Direct Load Control and Unit Commitment Considering System Spinning Reserve Characteristics (계통운전예비력특성을 감안한 직접부하제어와 기동정지계획의 연계방법에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a new linking methodology of direct load control(DLC) and unit commitment(UC) considering system spinning reserve characteristics. To consider system spinning reserve characteristics, we formulate new constraints. And to link DLC and UC, we employed 3-Dimensional dynamic programming which has DLC state, UC state, and stage. As a result, economical DLC and UC schedule of the power system is possible. This method is applied to the test system, and the usefulness of the method is verified.

  • To link direct load control and economic operation considering system spinning reserve characteristics, this paper presents a new metholodogy. By formulating new constraints, considering system spinning reserve characteristics is possible. And by employing 3-D dynamic programming, linking direct load control and economic operation is possible. As a result, economical DLC and operation schedule of the power system is possible. The usefulness of the method is verified by applying to the test system.

  • Scheduling parallel tasks, represented as a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) or task graph, on a multiprocessor system has been an important research area in the past decades. List scheduling algorithms assign priorities to a node or an edge in an input DAG, and then generate a schedule according to the assigned priorities. This appear proposes a list scheduling algorithms with effective method of priority assignments. The paper also analyzes the worst case performance and optimality condition for the proposed algorithm. The performance comparison study shows that the proposed algorithms outperforms existing scheduling algorithms especially for input DAGs with high communication overheads. The performance improvement over existing algorithms becomes larger as the input DAG becomes more dense and the level of parallelism in the DAG is increased.

  • This paper presents a game theory application for analyzing power transactions and market design in a deregulated energy marketplace such as PoolCo. The conventional least-cost approaches for the generation resource schedule can not exactly handle recent real-world situations. A systematic tool using game theory for the market participants is presented such that it determines the net profits through the optimal bidding strategies including the strategies for the bidding prices and bidding generations. We treat this power transaction game as incomplete information one, which means each market participants does not know other's cost function. And the demand elasticity of the energy price is considered for the realistic modeling of the deregulated marketplace.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop and show the efficiency of the URL(Unload Request Logic) and LRL(Load Request Logic) of the dispatcher in the Fab(Fabrication) Manufacturing Execution System. These logics are the core procedures which control the material(wafer and glass substrate) flow efficiently in the semiconductor and LCD fab considering inter-bay as well as intra-bay material flow. We use the present and future status information of the system by look-ahead and the information about the future transportation schedule of Automated Guided Vehicles. The simulation results show that the URL and LRL presented in this paper reduce the average lead time, average and maximum WIP level, and the average available AGV waiting time.

  • Standardization is a prerequisite of quality control in any field. Library field is not an exception. The bibliographic control structures of AACR2R, MARC, DDC, LCC, LCSH, ISBD are highly standardized and dependent on rigorous authority work, so that libraries and bibliographic utilities using these tools could provide effective quality services. In order to emphasize the importance of standardization in the field of bibliographic control structures, this study focuses on inconsistencies in transliterated foreign personal and geographic names in headings, used as the caption of a given class as well as in notes describing what is found in a class or clarifying the notation hierarchy in the 4th edition of KDC. This study also examines Korean transliteration of loan words in the schedule as well as the transliterated entries of the Relative Index.

  • KDC(Korea Decimal Classification), which is representative literature classification scheme in Korea, was revised and published in 1996. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a reform measure after detecting out issues and problems associated with the KDC 4th ed. through the result of lecture. The outline of suggestions are as follows : (1) There are not all items of auxiliary tables in relative index. (2) Auxiliary table 2 (Geographic Areas) is not detailed. (3) The manual for the shake of efficient usage is nonexistent and notes are poor in content. (4) Sufficient minimax and alternatives must be setted up for efficiency usage. (5) Some parts of the main schedule are disorder and not logical.

  • This paper deals with the scheduling ploblems, which are the most important subtasks in High-level syntheses. IP(integer programming) formulations is used as the scheduling problem approach. This paper describes a new resource-constraints scheduling algorithm. We have concentrated our attentions on the multicycle operations and the structural pipelining, and we fully analyze the characteristics of operators to achieve the maximal performance and the maximal resource sharing. For experiment results, we choose the 5-th order digital wave filter as a benchmark and do the schedule, Finally, we can obtain near-optimal scheduling results.

  • 본 논문에서는 휴면 지연에 의한 전송지연을 줄이는 효과적인 방법으로 staggered schedule 방식에 기반하여 동작하는 SPEED-MAC 프로토콜을 제안하고자 한다. SPEED-MAC은 이벤트 발생에 따른 정보를 발생사실과 세부정보로 나누어 각각 이벤트 공지 구간과 데이터 전송 구간에 싱크 노드로 전송함으로써 이벤트 발생 사실을 싱크 노드에게 최단시간에 전송할 수 있다. 또한 제어 패킷의 오버헤드를 줄이기 위해 이벤트 공지 구간에서 signal 패킷을 사용함으로써 데이터 패킷을 전송할 때 발생 가능한 충돌을 예측하였고 제어 패킷을 동적으로 사용하여 노드의 에너지 효율성을 추가로 개선할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 SPEED-MAC을 MICA MOTE에서 구현하였으며 기존의 MAC 프로토콜에 비하여 메시지 전송 지연시간을 대폭 단축시킬 수 있었으며 또한 저 전력을 구현할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.
