  • This paper discusses a knowledge-based system being developed by KAIST and KEPCO to assist planning the annual maintenance schedule of power units. To meet users' requirements, we have designed the system with several features: man-machine interaction, catalog system, user-friendliness, the hybrid-system of math-model and knowledge-base. In this paper, we introduce the outline of our system.

  • The problem of scheduling the passage things with low transit priority to maximize the amonnt that can be sent during given time periods without interfering with the fixed schedule for passage things with high transit priority in a track, is treated in this paper. The problem is transformed into the Time Expanded Network without traverse time through the Ford and Fulkerson Model and the Enumeration Algorithm is developed for solutions using TENET GENerator(TENETGEN). Finally, the proposed algorithm is compared with Dinic's maximal-flow algorithm and examined for the availability of the procedures on the personal computer.

  • This paper presents a new algorithm of unit commitment for optimal operation in power system. The proposed method developed algorithm that determined generators considering load variations at each stages. It has established forecast unit commitment over time horizon at first and next calculated quality cost of generators and then committed generator that has minimum quality cost at unit commitment schedule over time horizon. It is used that Objet-Oriented Programming for effective realization, and simple handling of complex program. The proposed method has applied at example system and the results has shown superior economics and computational requirement than the conventional method.

  • Recently, concern for tidal power is being increased by newly recycled energy. It is important to decide on the maximum power estimate operation and it's stop by applying the difference of water level between tide level and artificial reservoir for the administration of tidal development. For maximum output of power through turbine generator, administrative variables and process on efficiency of hydraulic turbine and inflow discharge of reservoir is quite complicated because it is run through the connection of discharge-gate and turbine On the development of this model, the administrative process is decided, Operation block is presented for it's maximum power estimate.

  • 최근 디지탈 기술을 응용하여 원자력 발전소 제어 시스템의 성능을 향상시키려는 많은 노력이 있어 왔고, 차세대 원자로에 구현할 것을 목표로 디지탈 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 장기적인 계획이 수립되어 있다. 디지탈 제어 시스템을 구축하고자 할 때 적정한 샘플링 주기를 정하는 것은 중요한 과정이다. 제어기의 안정성과 성능은 샘플링 주기에 밀접한 관련이 있다 현재 디지탈 제어기의 샘플링 주기를 체계적으로 정하는 전형적인 방법은 없다. 일반적으로 디지탈 제어기의 안정성을 고려해서 연속시간역 제어의 대역폭의 20∼30배의 역수 정도의 샘플링 주기를 흔히 쓴다. 이 논문에서는 안정성 뿐 아니라 시간역에서의 좋은 성능을 보장받을 수 있는 적정한 샘플링 주기를 얻을 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다. 이 방법으로 Irving의 모델을 이용하여 디지탈제어기의 적정 샘플링 주기를 예측하고, 고리 2호기의 마이크로 시뮬레이터와 WDPF 디지탈 제어기를 이용한 증기 발생기 수위제어 모사시스템에서 검증해 본 결과, 고리 2호기 원자력발전소 중기 발생기 수위제어를 위한 디지탈 제어기의 원자로 전 출력영역에 대한 적정 샘플링 주기 가 1초가 되는 것을 알게 되었다.

  • In this paper an effort is made to develop an innovative spatial arrangement concept pertaining to ship building industry. The spatial scheduling is the problem that concentrates on effective planning of available space and arrangements of blocks and in a priority manner. In order to create an effective spatial scheduling. a database providing the priority has to be available to make the erection sequence. Such a system works hand in hand with erection sequence generator program The erection sequence program works on the conventional network analysis method which uses a typical parent-children idea for the calculation of the ENT(possible earliest network start time) and LNT(possible latest network start time). This program works in a cyclic manner taking turns by calculating the ENT in upward trace and LNT on the return trace thereby generating the entire erection sequence diagram for the requisite problem The generated database serves as an input data for spatial scheduling problem. When the system works it takes into consideration the entire system based on heuristic concepts as mentioned. There system uses the spatial aspects such as the available area of the P. E area and plan area of the corresponding blocks and its priority of erection from the erection sequence generator program develops the spatial scheduling arrangement. In this paper using all these concepts an innovative spatial schedule development system developed.

A Two-stage Stochastic Programming Model for Optimal Reactive Power Dispatch with High Penetration Level of Wind Generation

  • The increasing of wind power penetration level presents challenges in classical optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) which is usually formulated as a deterministic optimization problem. This paper proposes a two-stage stochastic programming model for ORPD by considering the uncertainties of wind speed and load in a specified time interval. To avoid the excessive operation, the schedule of compensators will be determined in the first-stage while accounting for the costs of adjusting the compensators (CACs). Under uncertainty effects, on-load tap changer (OLTC) and generator in the second-stage will compensate the mismatch caused by the first-stage decision. The objective of the proposed model is to minimize the sum of CACs and the expected energy loss. The stochastic behavior is formulated by three-point estimate method (TPEM) to convert the stochastic programming into equivalent deterministic problem. A hybrid Genetic Algorithm-Interior Point Method is utilized to solve this large-scale mixed-integer nonlinear stochastic problem. Two case studies on IEEE 14-bus and IEEE 118-bus system are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • 한 가지의 용량가격만으로는 발전용량 설비투자에 대한 안정적 보상과 시장 기능 유지라는 두 가지 목표를 동시에 달성하기 힘들다. 본 논문은 이런 한계를 극복할 수 있도록 복수의 용량가격을 도입하여 용량가격의 비중을 높이면서 동시에 시장 기능을 유지할 수 있는 이원적 용량가격 제도를 제안한다. 즉, 현재 가스터빈 발전기를 기준으로 하면서 행정적으로 결정되는 용량가격을 그대로 유지하면서, 동시에 LNG복합발전기를 대상으로 한 제2의 용량가격을 도입한다. 이 용량요금은 더 낮은 에너지 가격 상한의 적용을 받으며, 상이한 전원들 사이의 대체관계를 고려한 수요와 용량공급 상황을 반영하도록 설계함으로써 시장 기능을 유지하게 한다.

산업용 규모의 압체고주파진공건조시스템 성능 평가 (Performance of a Commercial Scale Radio-frequency/vacuum Dryer Combined with a Mechanical Compressive Load)

  • 본 연구에서는 수용재적 약 $3m^3$ 크기의 압체고주파진공건조시스템을 이용하여 Azobe (Lophira alata)와 국산 소나무(Pinus densiflora) 제재목을 건조하면서 건조시스템의 성능을 평가하였다. 압체고주파진공건조기의 진공도는 80~105 mbar를 유지시켰고, 건조 중 재온은 건조초기 $40^{\circ}C$에서 시작하여 건조말기 $60^{\circ}C$까지 상승시켰다. 全건조기간에 걸쳐 기전전극판측의 재온은 제어온도보다 항상 높게 유지되는 반면, 접지전극판측의 재온은 항상 낮게 유지되었다. 건조시간이 경과함에 따라 접지전극판측의 재온은 제어온도보다 더욱 낮고 기전전극판측의 재온은 제어온도보다 더욱 높게 나타났다. Azobe의 경우 입력포트측의 평균최종함수율보다 입력포트반대측의 평균최종함수율이 모든 잔적층에서 미미하게 높게 나타났으며, 잔적층의 수직방향으로의 최종함수율은 기전전극판측에서 접지전극판측을 향할수록 높게 나타났다. 기전전극판과 인접한 잔적층의 경우 재목당 평균할렬의 발생길이가 매우 경미하였으나, 접지전극판측을 향할수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 투입된 에너지의 효율면에 있어 선진국의 상용설비와 유사한 수준을 보여 주는 것으로 평가되었다.

국내 전력거래제도하에서 IGCC 사업성 확보를 위한 정책 제언 (A Study on the Feasibility of IGCC under the Korean Electricity Market)

  • An IGCC was evaluated as one of the next generation technologies that would be able to substitute for coal-fired power plants. According to "The 4th Basic Plan of Long-term Electricity Supply & Demand" which is developed by the Electricity Business Acts, the first IGCC will be operated at 2015. Like other new and renewable energy such as solar PV, Fuel cell, The IGCC is considered as non-competitive generation technology because it is not maturity technology. Before the commercial operation of an IGCC in our electricity market, its economic feasibility under the Korean electricity market, which is cost-based trading system, is studied to find out institutional support system. The results of feasibility summarized that under the current electricity trading system, if the IGCC is considered like a conventional plant such as nuclear or coal-fired power plants, it will not be expected that its investment will be recouped within life-time. The reason is that the availability of an IGCC will plummet since 2016 when several nuclear and coal-fired power plants will be constructed additionally. To ensure the reasonable return on investment (NPV>0 IRR>Discount rate), the availability of IGCC should be higher than 77%. To do so, the current electricity trading system is amended that the IGCC generator must be considered as renewable generators to set up Price Setting Schedule and it should be considered as pick load generators, not Genco's coal fired-generators, in the Settlement Payment.
