전업주부들의 두피모발 관리에 대한 인식 및 태도 (Perceptions and Attitudes of Housewives on Scalp and Hair Management)

  • In this study, "housewives" are defined as married women who take care of housework mostly and do not work outside of home. Changing family types and higher education level of housewives enable them to be more interested in heath, beauty, and appearance. Increased interest and more frequent visits to hair salons cause scalp damage as well as hair damage, which results in hair loss. Moreover, some women suffers from scalp and hair damage due to childbirth, but many of them are not aware of it. Therefore, this study tries to find out the following; housewives' perceptions on hair and scalp management, and how such perceptions are formed. In addition, this study will present the direction for beauty marketing taking into account the characteristics of housewives and provide data necessary for them to keep their hair and scalp healthy. For these purposes, a survey was carried out after modifying the questionnaire through a presurvey. The survey tried to find 1) perceptions on hair and scalp management according to demographic characteristics, and attitude toward hair and scalp management according to demographic characteristics. Data were analyzed using frequency analysis, cross tabulation, t-test, factor analysis, and Analysis of Variance. The results were as follows, most recognize the importance of hair and scalp management but do not receive management because of the high cost, most of them receive information about hair and scalp management from people around them, and the higher the education level and health status, the more active the attitude toward hair and scalp management. These differences were all statistically significant.

  • The domestic market for scalp care and hair loss management reached 1 trillion won. The market for hair loss management is expected to expand further. Systematic scalp and hair care services, such as scalp scaling, scalp massage, equipment maintenance, scalp care products sale, and care program based on scalp and trichology are provided. This study examined the status of hair loss management and use of hair care products by people experiencing hair loss and the level of their satisfaction. In addition, this study presents basic data for the effective hair loss management and marketing strategies for scalp and hair loss clinics. The results are as follows. 41.2% of the study subjects were in their 20s, and 66.6% of the study subjects were women. As for the hair loss symptoms, 45.2%, the largest percentage, had thin and wispy hair and more women had thin hair than men. 80.0% of men had oily hair. As for the scalp condition, 39,3% had oily scalp. As more women experience hair loss, 39.6% had female pattern hair loss and 31.0% had male pattern hair loss. As the largest percentage of people experiencing hair loss was in their 20s, 33.4%, the largest percentage, had the onset of hair loss in their early 20s. 34.1%, the largest percentage, reported having used the clinic for less than 1 month. The older the subject, the longer the length of hair clinic use. As for the average number of monthly hair loss clinic visits, 28.2%, the largest percentage, said 3 times. As for the hair loss management product use, 61.9%, said they do not use it and 38.1% said they use it. 5.6%, the largest percentage, used Davines at home and 9.6%, the largest percentage, used Kerastase at the clinic. As for the experience of hair loss product previously, 84.5% said they had no experience and 15.5% said they had eThe following are related to the satisfaction level of hair loss management. xperience. 5.0%, the largest percentage, reported having used Daenggimeori. The following are related to the satisfaction level of hair loss management. 32.8%, the largest percentage, said the effect of hair loss management lasted less than 6 monthas. As for the satisfaction levels on hair loss management program, service, skill of the hair specialist, hygiene, and hair loss management products, most people indicated between average and somewhat satisfactory levels. As for the satisfaction level on the cost of hair loss management, most people indicated average satisfaction level. As for the element essential to hair loss management, 39.0%, the largest percentage, indicated development of effective and specialized programs, 28.2%, indicated low price, 25.1%, indicated systematic and professional education of the hair specialist, 4.6%, indicated marketing and promotion, 2.5%, indicated service quality, and 0.6% indicated others.

시대적 흐름에 따른 두피와 모발관리에 대한 연구방법 (Research Methods on Scalp and Hair Management through the Pass of Time)

  • It is considered to be important to create aesthetically beautiful style through the change of external shape, however for the hair stylists, whose beauty expression is through hair, the role of hair doctor is becoming even more important with focus to improve the hair healthiness. Hair clinic is management of hair and scalp. It is the management process of preventing damages, while improving and cultivating healthy and shiny hair. The current concept in hair management is moving from simple hair styling to emphasis at hair management. As far as hair management is concerned, it usually includes treatment tools such as shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment and scalp scaling system, which is used for diagnosis of hair condition in order to treat the scalp. As the interest of hair healthiness becoming more wide spread, so does the breadth of clinic menu. The wide choice is to fulfill the profound desire of people, whose demands are simply to have variety in their choice. This is resulting in faucets of new value-added and differentiated products. The values that make-up the hair styles consist of mainly design (trend, preference), function(styling, management convenience) and clinic(hair quality improvement, damage repair). Shampoo and conditioner have gone beyond their original function of cleansing to providing combinational functions of treatment, to care and remedy, and advanced massage effectiveness. These are, to name a few that seem to go beyond their original function to satisfy the mental healthiness in people, the King Kong shampoo of shampooings in forward-backward manner, 5-minute shampoo massage that applies sports and relaxation massage, scalp acupunctural message and aural(ear) massage. More and more people are complaining about the damaged hair and hair loss problems due to perms, dyeing and bleaching of hair, in addition to natural scalp and hair damaging factors. Such complaints have stimulated many beauty products and various hair treatment systems being introduced with focus to provide nutrition and prevent damages to scalp and hair. As the living standards improve and the desire of people is to pursue differentiated lives, their demand also increases in hair styling products to fulfill the needs of healthy and aesthetical aspects of their lives.

미용전공 대학생들의 두피·모발에 대한 자가인식에 기반한 융합적 관리형태 연구 (A study of convergence management types based on self-perception of scalp and hair among college students majoring in cosmetology)

  • 본 연구는 미용전공 대학생들을 중심으로 두피와 모발의 상태를 정확하게 파악하고 그에 따른 관리 습관 및 자각증상을 인식함으로서 두피 모발의 융합관리 형태에 관심을 갖고 관리하도록 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구대상자는 전남지역에 거주하는 20대 미용전공 대학생 160명으로 직접 기입방식으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과 두피유형은 복합성 두피가 많았으며, 모발의 문제점으로 모발 끝이 갈라지고 가늘어지는 것을 꼽았고 자신이 손상된 모발을 갖고 있다고 인식하고 있었다. 손상의 원인으로는 잦은 염색과 퍼머라고 답하였으며, 손상을 예방하기 위해 손상모발 샴푸를 주로 사용하고 있었다. 두피 모발에 대한 자각증상에서 두피에 관련하여 관심도가 높을수록 자가인식도가 높았으며 나이와 수면시간도 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.

성인 남·녀 탈모 자가인식에 의한 두피관리실태 연구 (The research about Scalp treatments by self-recognition of adult's losing hair)

  • 본 연구에서는 20대와 30대를 대상으로 성별, 직업별, 모발의 굵기 등 다양한 탈모의 원인들을 통한 자가인식의 정도를 파악하고 이에 따른 두피관리 행위의 실태를 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구의 자료는 부산 경남지역에 거주하는 20대와 30대 262명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS version 12.0을 이용하였다. 연구문제와 관련하여 빈도, 백분율, ${\chi}^2$검정 등을 적용하였다. 이상의 연구 분석 결과로 탈모에 관한 자가인식이 두피관리의 행위요인으로 귀결시킴으로써 연구대상자의 행위정도를 가름할 수 있었다. 이는 20대와 30대에서도 탈모에 관한 자가인식이 높을 수록 두피관리행위 또한 잘 실천하고 있다는 사실을 반영하는 것으로 탈모에 관한 자가인식은 두피관리와 밀접한 관계임을 알 수 있었다.

20대 미용소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피·모발관리 연구 (A study on the scalp, hair care according to DiSC behaviors of cosmetic consumer in their 20s)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 미용소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피 모발관리행동의 차이를 분석하는 것에 있다. 연구를 위해 20대 미용소비자를 대상으로 설문지 251부를 SPSS v.18.0 통계 패키지 프로그램을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피,모발관리 인식은 심리적 안정, 호감적 이미지, 건상상태유지에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 신중형(C)의 경우 다른 유형에 비해 심리적 안정, 호감적 이미지, 건상상태유지가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, DiSC행동유형에 따른 두피,모발관리 행동은상태인지관리, 제품사용관리에 대해 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 신중형(C)이나 사교형(I)의 경우 상대적으로 상태인지관리, 제품사용관리가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 나타난 소비자의 DiSC행동유형에 따라 달라지는 모발관리인식 및 행동을 기업 마케팅전략의 기초자료로 제공하고자 한다.

임피던스 법을 이용한 두피 상태 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study for Estimation of Scalp Condition by Impedance)

  • The scalp is skin tissue for skull-protection and roots for hair growth. Therefore continuous monitoring of scalp condition is essential for hair management. However, the equipments for existent are inconvenient to use because of focus tremor and external factors(Hair Gel, Wax, accessories and so on). Furthermore there is a problem to use an expensive optical devices like CCD (Charge Coupled Device) camera or lens of 200 - 1000 magnification. It causes a difficulty of using those equipment. We design the special electrode(length 5.65mm, diameter 0.8mm of needle shape) and the impedance system(1kHz, 78uA). Tn this paper, we can measure scalp impedance with our system. Moreover, we find the possibility of classifying scalp condition with measured impedance values. For the classification of scalp condition, we used ARAMO-TS as an imaging system. In conclusion, the problem of existent devices could be improved using these method. It also has a benefit of continuous monitoring of scalp condition.

Management of Greying of Hairs (Sheeb) and Use of Hair Dyes (Khizaab) in Unani Medicine

  • Greying of hairs or Canities (Sheeb) is a hair disorder characterized by premature graying of scalp hair, beard, moustache etc. In Unani system of medicine (USM), the causes of premature greying of hairs, concept behind graying of hairs, principles of treatment, preparations that prevent premature greying of hairs, regimen, systemic and local treatment to stimulate pigmentation and the most interesting point is the use of different type of hair dyes (khizabat) is all illustrated. Classical texts described black, red, blond and white hair dye preparations with formulae and method of use. Initially for the hair graying management, utilizing simple and complex substances from plants, minerals, metals and mixture of these was the main method, which satisfied the desire to change the colour of the hair. With the advancement in chemical science, dyes formulaes, method of formation and application are changed. But due to the awareness about demerits of chemical dyes, people are looking back towards the natural ways to combat hair greying and herbal hair dye is an alternative. This paper is an overview of Unani drugs of local and internal use for hair greying with special attention towards herbal dyes. Most commonly used herbs in khizaab with their actions and constituents has been summarized. This is an effort to globalize the benefits of Unani herbs in hair greying problem. In short, International demand for hair dyes has been steadily growing and there is a wide scope for exploring different aspects of hair greying treatment and dyes in USM.

유방암 환자의 외모 관리 경험에 대한 근거이론적 접근 (Appearance Management Experiences of Breast Cancer Patients -A Grounded Theory Approach-)

  • This study explored the appearance management experiences of breast cancer patients undergoing mastectomy. For data collection, one-on-one interviews were held with 18 Korean females diagnosed with breast cancer from the first stage to the third stage from 2008 to 2015. The data was analyzed through a three-step analysis of grounded theory. QSR NVivo 11.0 for Mac was applied in order to avoid biased results according to the subjective viewpoint of researchers. From open coding results, six paradigms and 15 categories were drawn. The results of axial coding showed that the psychological changes category was the central phenomenon. Additionally, three categories (skin changes, scalp/hair changes, and general reactions) were found to be causal conditions, and five paradigms (clothing behavior, skin care behavior, makeup behavior, scalp/hair-care behavior, and shopping behavior) were found to be action/interaction strategies. Last, selective coding integrated fragmented qualitative data through open coding and axial coding in order to derive explanatory narratives. A comprehensive examination of the appearance management behaviors of breast cancer patients suffering from extreme stress due to physical/psychological changes enables this study to provide a foundation for related studies to be activated in the clothing and textiles discipline.

SUKI(silver tools)를 활용한 두피 관리가 중금속 배출에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Scalp Management using SUKI on Heavy Metal Discharge)

  • 본 연구는 SUKI를 활용하여 두피의 중금속 감소에 대해 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보았다. 연구대상자는 총 26명이었으며 실험군과 대조군 각각 13명이었다. SUKI 도구를 활용한 두피 중금속 배출에 대한 중재를 8주간 주 2회씩 실시하였고, 결과는 다음과 같다. 총 각각 8 종목의 실험군과 대조군의 비교에서 실험군에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 실험군의 중금속인 Hg, Pb, Al, Cd, As, Ba, Ur, Cs 중에서 6가지 항목의 Hg, Al, Cd, As, Ba, Ur과 같은 중금속들에서 통계적으로 유의한 감소(p<.05)를 보여주었으며, Pb, Cs 는 유의하지 않았다. 그리고 해당 유해중금속 중에서 Al, Ba, Hg가 가장 큰 차이의 감소율을 나타냈다. 따라서 SUKI 도구의 중재가 일부 중금속 배출에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 시사한다(p<.05). 결론적으로 향후 지속적인 연구를 통해 두피의 중금속 배출을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
