The purpose of the study was to identify the housing plan responding to lifestyles of residents living in Center of Ulsan city. A total of 230 date sets were analyzed after collecting questionnaire from 284 households using convenient sampling method. For date analysis, descriptive statistics. cross analysis, One-Way ANOVA, factor analysis, cluster analysis were performed by SPSS program. The research centered on the possibility of categorizing lifestyles of residents based upon their living awareness. The results showed that there are four major categorizes of residents's lifestyles. According to classification of their lifestyles, This study tried to analyse the characteristics of residents based upon the characteristics of the households, housing satisfaction. The analysis instrument of the lifestyle concept will be useful to develop the new strategies and to plan the new multi-family houses.

This study was to evaluate residents' environmental cognition, satisfaction and needs of distinctive outdoor space in apartment housing estates. Distinctive outdoor space of 75 apartment estates throughout the country were investigated. And the residents of 16 apartment estates were asked how they cognize disticntive outdoor space qualities, and what activities they prefer in apartment's outdoor space. Thre important factors were extracted in residents' cognition of distinctive outdoor space qualities. First factor was naturalness of the greenery, second factor was outdoor activities especially related to fitness and exercise, and third factor was design of street furniture. Residents' satisfaction degree of distinctive outdoor space tended to increase as high as the occupied housing area. Places with water, tree shades, pedestrian way, greenery with flowers, playlots, fitness places and entrances of the estates were evaluated high in the order named. And places full with greenery, places related to fitness and exercisem, playlots were prefered by the residents.

In 2007, Seoul Metropolitan Government introduced new public rental housing policy called SHift that works as rental deposit base. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the residential satisfaction of SHift. This research has shown conclusively that there is a link between the Location of apartment, Internal Premises, External Premises and satisfaction of SHift residents. The main factors of Residential satisfaction of SHift residents are Location of economical factor. The factor analysis of the 12 factors of variable are confirmed by the internal consistency reliability. This analysis is evaluate on discrimination of the correlation between the dwelling circumstance and the residential satisfaction. The economical factor was the main factor among the Independent variables. It can be concluded that the general overview of the Residential Satisfaction of SHift residents satisfaction is "quite good". But there are maby problems on SHift.

The aim of this paper is to examine the determinants of residential satisfaction and attachment according to the urban multi-family dwelling types. On the basis of the surveys, the factor analysis and regression are employed as the empirical analysis on residential satisfaction and attachment in Daegu metropolitan city. The major findings are as follows; First, as for post-occupancy evaluation of residential environment of building and outside, the residents of complex type of multi-family housing satisfied with most of items more than studio type except the location, amenity facilities around building and utilities fee. Second, about the Residential Satisfaction and Attachment by types, the residents of complex type of multi-family housing satisfied with most of items more than studio type too. Third, the determinants in residential Satisfaction of complex types are 'welfare and amenity facilities factor', 'maintenance factor' and 'location factor'. On the other hand, the determinants in residents of studio type are 'inexpensive rent fee factor', 'welfare and amenity facilities factor' and 'maintenance factor'. Going forward, this research will help us better understand residential satisfaction from the point of residents and find new ways to improve resident satisfaction and attachment.

Based on Rural living indicator -2005 survey data, in RDA this study attempted to investigate Rural Residents' real life satisfaction or identity model by the types of leisure consumption depending on each generation and explored the relationship between leisure consumption and the enhancement of self-identity/ interpersonal relationship, and that between leisure consumption satisfaction and real life satisfaction. Based on systematic random sampling with constructed questionnaires, 1,870 data were collected and analyzed. Overall, the results of this study showed that there are statistically significant differences between generation in leisure consumption. In detail, the findings of this study are as follows. The types of Rural Residents' leisure consumption can be divided into three styles including Semi-leisure type, Passive leisure type and Total leisure type consumption. The preferred types of leisure consumption of Rural Residents' were Semi-leisure type, Passive leisure type and Total leisure type in order. Except for times-pending leisure culture consumption, Semi-leisure type and Passive leisure type influenced on the enhancement of self-identity and interpersonal relationship, then the enhancement of self-identity and interpersonal relationship influenced on leisure consumption-satisfaction, and finally leisure consumption satisfaction influenced on real life satisfaction.

This study examines the relationship between public service satisfaction, trust in local government, and community satisfaction. Previous studies on community satisfaction have insufficiently dealt with public services or trust in local government and have not fully conducted an integrated analysis. To close these knowledge gaps, this study includes public service satisfaction that was constructed with the subcomponents economic support, education, and public safety and trust in local government as factors affecting community satisfaction. Moreover, this study verified the mediating effect of trust in local government between public service satisfaction and community satisfaction. Online surveys were carried out with 980 residents in Jeonbuk, Korea, and structural equation modeling (SEM) was employed. The results indicated that public service satisfaction affected community satisfaction directly or indirectly. In particular, the satisfaction with public safety influenced community satisfaction both directly and indirectly. In addition, trust in local government had a mediating effect between all sub-components of public service satisfaction and community satisfaction. Today, regional disparity between urban and rural areas in developing countries is widening. As a result, residents in rural areas are gradually moving to urban areas. Therefore, rural areas need to increase the community satisfaction of their residents. In this regard, this study suggests important policy implications for community satisfaction enhancement.

주거단지에서 주거공간을 비롯한 생활환경 등의 요인은 주거만족에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 간주되고 있다. 최근 참여 의식의 증대로 입주자 참여요인의 중요성이 부각되고 있으며, 입주자간 갈등에 대한 요인이 주거만족에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 현상은 사회적 통합의 일환으로 공급되고 있는 분양과 임대주택의 혼합단지에서 더욱 그럴 것으로 보고 선행연구를 근거로 개념적 연구모형을 수립하고, 연구가설을 설정하였다. 가설검증 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 주거환경 요인은 입주자 참여요인과 입주자간 갈등요인에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 입주자 참여 요인과 입주자간 갈등 요인은 주거만족에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 입주자 참여 요인은 완전매개효과를 보이고 있으며, 입주자간 갈등 요인은 부분매개효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 혼합단지에서 입주자 참여와 입주자간 갈등 요인의 변수를 확인하고 이 두 요인이 주거만족에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증한 탐색적 연구라는데 그 의의가 있다고 할 수 있다.

This study attempted to classify the residents of rural area into some groups according to the level of their community satisfaction by decision tree model. The variable that has the greatest influence on grouping rural residents according to community satisfaction is income. However, it appears that the variable of participating in the community activities can weaken their influences. The second most satisfying group is the group of people who are lower-income and active in community activities. On the other hand, the group of people who are high-income and inactive in community activities are included to unsatisfying groups. These findings suggest that community participation can be a major factor in enhancing the quality of life of residents in the rural communities. What is noteworthy is that marital status is used as a major variable to classify the rural residents into some groups according to the level of community satisfaction. This suggests that the issue of marriage is still a major problem in rural communities.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the urban park and the green spaces within the public service framework. It was investigated by identifying the priority elements as defined by the residents and to figure out the differences of residents' satisfaction for the parks in new and old downtown. This study surveyed 455 residents from 80 dong (neighborhoods) of 5 Gu(districts) in Daejon. In this study, satisfaction on the urban parks and the green spaces in the old downtown was compared with the new town area. The results were as follows: Those who lived in the new downtown areas showed higher satisfaction than those in the old downtown for the urban parks and the green spaces, as well as in all 8 other evaluation sections. Both new and old downtown residents scored high on the 'city landscape and the natural environment' and 'green spaces and facilitats' items, but scored low on 'citizen's respect' and 'acceptance of resident opinions'. The old downtown residents highly valued on easy access to the parks, while the new downtown residents focused on various activities and programs, as well as resident participation, as the parks. The variables affected the resident's satisfaction on the urban parks in old downtown areas consisted of 'information', 'diversity', 'supply decision'. Among these variables, 'diversity' had the most significant influence on the satisfaction level.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the structure relationships between job satisfaction of dental residents and its related factors. The study subject was 458 dental residents who were training at 6 university dental hospitals in Korea. Data for this study were obtained by self-administrated questionnaire during 3 months. Structure equation modeling using LISREL procedure was statistically appropriate and well fitted. By the model, the socio-demographic characteristics, working condition, and status perception directly influenced on subscale satisfactions, and the subscale satisfactions positively influenced on job satisfaction.
