Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among marital satisfaction, spousal support and practice of Taekyo among pregnant women. Methods: This study was conducted by the use of questionnaire surveys with two hundred and eighty-three pregnant women at several hospitals located in Gyeonggi province and Daejeon city from October 2008 to April 2009. Contents of questionnaire included marital satisfaction, spousal support and practice of Taekyo. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and stepwise multiple regression were conducted for data analysis using SPSS/WIN 17.0 program. Results: Degree of marital satisfaction, spousal support, and practice of Taekyo showed the high ranking among pregnant women. There was a significant difference in order of fetus, need for Taekyo, and time in Taekyo. There was a positive relationship between marital satisfaction, spousal support, and practice of Taekyo. The significant factors influencing the practice of Taekyo was connected with marital satisfaction, order of fetus and time in Taekyo. The total explanatory range was 29.3%. Conclusion: There is a need for multidimensional strategy in improving marital satisfaction. This study can be used as a foundation for maternal nursing education program and can be developed for practice of Taekyo.
This study is about the verification of the effectiveness of 'Resilient Parenting Program' based on Walsh's family resilience approach. The program was developed for strengthening parenting self-efficacy and increasing parent satisfaction and family relation as well. The program was practiced once a week for 8 weeks at the B community service center and each session lasted for 2 hours. The participants of the program were 13 mothers of elementary schools who had a need to increase their parenting skills and satisfaction. Among the 13 participants, 7 of them were arranged to the experimental group and 6 of them were included to the control group. The scores of the two groups at the point of pre-test, post-test and follow-up test, 3 months after the termination of the program, were analysed and compared through the Wilcoxen matched pairs signed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. The scales adapted in this study were the Parent Satisfaction Scale, the Parenting Self-efficacy Scale, and the Family Relation Scale. As the results of the analyses, there were significant differences of the increases in the area of parent-child relationship satisfaction, general parent satisfaction, parenting self-efficacy, and family relation between the two groups. In conclusion, the effectiveness and utilization of the program were confirmed. Also, it is verified that the program can be an important tool for strengthening healthy family functioning through the interventions of parents in the field of community based social work practice.
The purpose of this study is to develop a Marriage Enrichment Program that can be applied to the actual lives of Korean families and couples, as well as adopted in family welfare programs. For this study, a quasi-experimental group design was employed and pre- and post- tests on Internal-External Control, Couple Communication, and Marital Satisfaction were conducted. Experimental participants consisted of six volunteer couples who responded to an advertisement by the Chonbuk Family Counseling Center printed in a daily newspaper. The experimental group received two hours of education on marital relationship enhancement every week for eight weeks. The control group received no such treatment. The effectiveness of the education was measured by Wilcox matched pair test, using a SAS program, as well as by the self-report of the participants. The results show that there was statistically significant improvement for the experimental group in all three areas of marriage-- internal control, couple communication, and marital satisfaction. In addition, the participants'evaluations were generally positive about the program. The participants reported that it was most helpful to learn through the educational program that individuals differ in basic needs and that they should not force personal beliefs on others. They also reported that their understanding of their spouse improved.
Recently, the number of the elderly has increased according to the improvement of socioeconomic status and the efficient medical care system. In spite of the development of medicine, the elderly suffers from the various health problems caused by weakness of musculoskeletal system, cardiopulmonary function and immunologic dysfunction. Regular rhythmic exercise program is known to be one of the effective tools to enhance the health condition in the elderly. However, there has been few studies to evaluate the comprehensive effects of rhythmic movement program on the elderly. This study was focused to evaluate the indices of cardiopulmonary function, life satisfaction, calcium, phosphorous, osteocalcin and deoxypyridinoline which are the essential factors of health problems in the elderly women. Twenty six subjects, aged between 68 and 72, who can do the ordinary activities and do not have cardiovascular dysfunction and mental disorder, participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: 13 in the experimental group and 13 in the control group. The experimental group participated in the rhythmic movement program at the welfare center located in G-city. The program were consisted of three sessions a week during 10 weeks. Each session had three parts: warming up(10 minutes), main exercise(40 minutes), finishing(10 minutes). Heart rate, blood pressure and peripheral arterial oxygen saturation were measured for the evaluation of cardiopulmonary function. Serum calcium, phosphorous, osteocalcin and urine deoxypyridinoline were measured as the indices of bony metabolism. Data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, x2-test, t-test, paired t-test using SPSS PC+ program. The results of this study were as follows. 1) Heart rate of the experimental group showed significant decrease following the rhythmic movement program. Peripheral arterial oxygen saturation of the experimental group showed significant increase following the program. 2) The degree of life satisfaction of the experimental group showed significant increase following the program. 3) Calcium showed significant decrease following the program but remained within normal range. There was no significant difference of phosphorous between two groups. 4) Osteocalcin, the index of bone formation, showed no significant change following the program, but significant increase in the experimental group comparing with the control group. 5) Deoxypyridinoline, the index of bone resorption, in urine of the experimental group showed significant decrease following the program. In conclusion, the rhythmic exercise program in the elderly showed the improvement of physiologic function and favorable effects on life satisfaction and bony metabolism. According to the above results, the regular rhythmic movement program can be strongly recommended for the improvement of health in the elderly women.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationship of variables affecting application of job training in the Integrated Public Health Promotion Program Personnel(IPHPPP); intrinsic motivation, individual oriented achievement motivation, achievement and satisfaction of program. The subjects were 115 IPHPPP who participated in job training program of Incheon City Integrated Health Promotion Support Team. Data were collected using a structure self-report questionnaire. Data were analyzed by a ANOVA, correlational analysis, and path analysis. As a result, the application of job training was high in the 40s. There was no significant difference in each variable by job application. Application of job training was positively correlated with intrinsic motivation, individual oriented achievement motivation, achievement and satisfaction of program. Further, Application of job training was directly by intrinsic motivation, individual oriented achievement motivation, and indirectly by satisfaction of program. Satisfaction of program was directly or indirectly influenced by achievement and application of job training. This showed that satisfaction of program play an important role in application of job training. Increasing the motivation and satisfaction of the participants is necessary as a way to increase application of job training. This findings may help to design educational programs to improve application of job training for IPHPPP.
The purpose of this study was to provide a basic research data for increasing the satisfaction by analyzing perception of middle school beginning technology teachers 'technology home economics' class for free semester program. In order to investigate the class operation status, the survey questionnaires from 100 teachers were collected from middle school beginning teachers who teach technology home economics subject currently and analyzed by statistical program(SPSS ver.18). The main results of this study were as follows: First, there was no statistically significant difference to contents and satisfaction of lesson between teachers who experienced free semester program and not. In comparison of male teachers and female teachers, male teachers thought that free semester program was more helpful for student's 'career exploration' than female teachers, and there was statistically significant difference. Second, in the teacher's response according to have practice space and not, the satisfaction average of teachers who have practice space was higher(M=3.64) than those who have not at 'career exploration' and there was statistically significant difference satisfaction. Third, among the teachers who have experienced free semester program, male teachers were having more difficulty 'determining the assessment criteria' than the female teachers and there was statistically significant difference. Fourth, to improve the satisfaction of technical lesson, technology teachers asked to solve lack of practice material, increase of lesson-time, lack of practice space and lesson contents etc. Fifth, technology teachers asked free semester program seminars and information because free semester program lesson contents was given by internet and research groups of technology education.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of a progressive lower-extremity exercise program on pain, efficacy of exercise, and the life satisfaction among older women with TKRA. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group non synchronized design and was conducted from 12 September 2012 to 05 February 2014 in G-university hospital located in J-city. The sample was composed of an experimental group (n=20) and a control group (n=20). The progressive lower extremity exercise program was applied to the experimental group for 13 days. NRS scale was used to measure the pain, self-efficacy of exercise was measured by Exercise Self Efficacy, and life satisfaction was measured by 8 item questionnaire. Results: The experimental group was significantly lower in the degree of pain (F=73.53, p<.001), higher in the degree of self-efficacy of exercise (F=61.42, p<.001) and life satisfaction (F=80.91, p<.001) than the control group. Conclusion: The progressive lower-extremity exercise program for TKRA patients was useful to reduce pain and improve self-efficacy of exercise and life satisfaction, To reduce the pain and th improve the life satisfaction of older women with TKRA, we need to provide the progressive exercise at bedside during the postoperative recovery phase.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of gratitude enhancement program for freshman on pre-service early childhood teacher's gratitude disposition, empathic ability, and department satisfaction. Methods: 55 freshmen majoring in early childhood education were participated in this study. Twenty-eight of them were classified as an experimental group and made to go through gratitude enhancement program for freshman. Twenty-seven of them were classified as a control group. The gratitude enhancement program for freshman consisted of lectures on cognitive, affective and behavioral gratitude factors. To verify the effect of this program, the tests on gratitude disposition, empathic ability, and department satisfaction were carried out and the collected data were analyzed by ANCOVA. Results: The result of this study was that the gratitude enhancement program was effective for improving gratitude disposition, empathic ability, and department satisfaction of pre-service early childhood teachers. Conclusion/Implications: This study illustrated the need of gratitude enhancement program and its methodologies for pre-service early childhood teacher's college adjustment and persistence by improving gratitude disposition, empathic ability, and department satisfaction.
Background: The hospital accreditation program in Korea has been conducted since 2011 in order to improve patient safety and healthcare service quality. This study was conducted to find factors associated with satisfaction as surveyor and reliability of surveyors in hospital accreditation program. Methods: This study was performed targeting 217 responded to the survey among 412 surveyors who had participated in the accreditation survey for acute care hospitals from December 2010 to February 2014. Results: The average number of survey per surveyor is 2.35. We divided surveyors into those who participated in the survey more than 3 times and less than 3 times in order to judge the professionalism of surveyors according to the number of survey participation. Those factors that have an influence on the satisfaction as surveyors include: activity period as surveyor, role in the survey team, experience of survey in other fields, experience as consultant and the useful education and proper composition of survey team (p<0.05). Those factors that have an influence on the reliability for fellow surveyors include: number of beds of hospitals they belong, experience of survey in other fields, useful education, proper composition of survey team and difficulty in leadership interview (p<0.05). Conclusion: It is important to provide useful education and proper composition of survey team to increase the satisfaction as surveyors and the reliability for fellow surveyors.

The research aims to develop a training program for prospective librarians in order to help them better prepared for library practicum. To achieve the purpose of the research, the research analyzes pre-librarians' expectation and needs of the pre-training program and designs a mock pre-training program for practicing library practicum effectively and efficiently. After running the mock pre-training program to library practicum participants in the department of Library and Information Science at H University, their satisfaction and feedback of the mock program are also assessed. On the basis of the findings from implementing the mock pre-training program, the research proposes the final contents of a pre-training program for preparing library practicum and the detailed methods for implementing the proposed pre-training program.
