Control of Cyber-Physical Systems Under Cyber-Attacks (사이버공격에 강인한 사이버물리시스템의 제어)

  • This paper addresses the control problem of cyber-physical systems under controller attack. A novel discontinuous Lyapunov functionals are employed to fully utilize sampled-data pattern which characteristic is commonly appeared in cyber-physical systems. By considering the limited resource of networks, cyber-attacks on the controller are considered randomly occurring and are described as an attack function which is nonlinear but assumed to be satisfying Lipschitz condition. Novel criteria for designing controller with robustness for cyber-attacks are developed in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Finally, a numerical example is given to prove the usefulness of the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a novel control technique to deal with networked control systems with neutral timedelay, which is known to highly degrade the control performance of the controlled system. The stability analysis and design method for a sampled-data fuzzy controller for discrete networked control systems (NCS). The neutral time-delay and sampling activity will complicate the NCS. And it make the stability analysis much more difficult than that for a continuous-time NCS. Based on the fuzzy control approach, linear matrix inequality (LMI)-based stability conditions are derived to guarantee the neutral T-S fuzzy system stability. The simulation results and practical experiments illustrate that the proposed controller design is realistic.

  • This paper presents an advanced AC drive system used in electric vehicles. The system consists of a drive motor, a PWM transistorized inverter, a PCL-812PG data card, and a controller. This paper describes a design method for RSPWMSS and PID controller. This controller system is implemented on computer and applied to drive motor(induction motor), yielding satisfactory result.

  • In this paper, we designed a low cost data logger system using single chip microcontroller. It detects the normal and abnormal current in distribution system. A sampled analog signals are stored on RAM card(4Mbit) after digitalized by internal A/D converter. Stored data can be transmitted to the personal computer either by internal serial communication port or by external parallel communication port. The transmitted data are analyzed and displayed on personal computer.

  • In this paper, we address fault detection observer design problem of T-S fuzzy systems with sensor fault. To detect fault, T-S fuzzy model-based observer is used. By introducing $\mathfrak{H}$_ performance index, an observer is designed as sensitive to fault as possible. The fault is then detected by a fault decision logic. The design conditions are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. An illustrative example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed fault detection technique.

  • In the paper, in order to get the characteristics of the saccadic and the smooth pursuit movements of the oculomotor systems, a revised stochastic sampled data model suggested by Young et. al. was simulated and analyzed by using the MIMIC language. The results are summerized as follows; (1) The predictability to the sinusoidal inputs increased as the input frequency increased, but at the frequency of 1.0[Hz] the prediction started to decrease. (2) The responses of the system drifted when the system was open-looped. (3) The responses showed the transient state during the first period of the input waves, and then moved into the steady state.

  • This paper deals with effective using the IGES file for flexible data exchange among the other CAD/CAM system. If a data exchange between STL file and the neutral IGES file in Stereolithography system is available, a product design becomes more flexible. THere can be many restrictions and difficulties intranslating these data. First, an STL file follows two rules, such as right-hand rule, and vertex-to-vertex rule, thus requires a structural verification. Second, translation should be performed with minmal errors. It becomes very important to translate IGES file of limited kinds of entities fot the purpose of geometric information into STL file with minor data manipulation. The developed system suggests a good approach of translating the sampled B-spline surface of IGES and shows a potential linkage between IGES and STL format file.

  • This study was planned to develop monitoring system of cable force to resolve cable force of cable-stayed bridge efficiently in a long-term plan. In the proposed monitoring system, firstly data are sampled from real-time acceleration record, secondly these sampled data are frequency analyzed by using the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) algorism and lastly the analyzed results are averaged and generalized. For evaluating the applicability of this monitoring system, field loading test has performed in real cable-stayed bridge. In comparison with cable force by field manual calculation and cable force of monitoring system by semi-automatic calculation, the difference of calculated cable forces has within 1% error range and it is acceptable range. Additionally within negligible 5% error range of difference has occur between field manual calculation and monitoring system by automatic calculation. so monitoring system in this study has been verified to be reliable.

  • Modularized GPS software defined radio (SDR) has many advantages of applying and modifying algorithm. Hardware based GPS receiver uses many hardware parts (such as RF front, correlators, CPU and other peripherals) that process tracked signal and navigation data to calculate user position, while SDR uses software modules, which run on general purpose CPU platform or embedded DSP. SDR does not have to change hardware part and is not limited by hardware capability when new processing algorithm is applied. The weakness of SDR is that software correlation takes lots of processing time. However, in these days the evolution of processing power of MPU and DSP leads the competitiveness of SDR against the hardware GPS receiver. This paper shows a study of modulization of GPS software platform and it presents development of the GNSS software platform using MATLAB Simulink™. We focus on post processing SDR platform which is usually adapted in research area. The main functions of SDR are GPS signal acquisition, signal tracking, decoding navigation data and calculating stand alone user position from stored data that was down converted and sampled intermediate frequency (IF) data. Each module of SDR platform is categorized by function for applicability for applying for other frequency and GPS signal easily. The developed software platform is tested using stored data which is down-converted and sampled IF data file. The test results present that the software platform calculates user position properly.

Sampled-Data Modeling and Dynamic Behavior Analysis of Peak Current-Mode Controlled Flyback Converter with Ramp Compensation

  • The flyback converter, which can be regarded as a nonlinear time-varying system, has complex dynamics and nonlinear behaviors. These phenomena can affect the stability of the converter. To simplify the modeling process and retain the information of the output capacitor branch, a special sampled-data model of a peak current-mode (PCM) controlled flyback converter is established in this paper. Based on this, its dynamic behaviors are analyzed, which provides guidance for designing the circuit parameters of the converter. With the critical stability boundary equation derived by a Jacobian matrix, the stable operation range with a varied output capacitor, proportional coefficient of error the amplifier, input voltage, reference voltage and slope of the compensation ramp of a PCM controlled flyback converter are investigated in detail. Research results show that the duty ratio should be less than 0.5 for a PCM controlled flyback converter without ramp compensation to operate in a stable state. The stability regions in the parameter space between the output capacitor and the proportional coefficient of the error amplifier are enlarged by increasing the input voltage or by decreasing the reference voltage. Furthermore, the ramp compensation also can extend to the stable region. Finally, time-domain simulations and experimental results are presented to verify the theoretical analysis results.
