우리나라 물류기업 특성요인과 근로자 임금격차에 대한 분석연구 (A Study on the Characteristic Factors of Logistics Companies and the Wage Gap of Workers in Korea)

  • 본 논문에서는 개별적 기업을 대상으로 표본을 수집하여 심층적으로 근로자 임금(평균연봉)에 대해 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고자 한다. 기업의 근로자 평균연봉과 함께 초임 평사원의 평균연봉에 대해서 깊이 있는 분석을 하고자 한다. 구체적으로 초임 평사원의 학력별로 초대졸, 대졸, 대학원졸 평균 연봉에 미치는 기업 규모, 자본과 노동의 생산구조, 사업의 주된 분야의 영향을 설명하고자 하였다. 물류기업의 초임 평사원의 평균연봉 차이는 매출액에 미치는 주된 사업이 결정적 요인변수이며, 학력과 관련하여 초대졸과 대졸은 외항여객화물운송업 및 항만운영및하역관리업이 높은 연봉을 제공하였고 육상화물운송업 및 창고업은 낮은 연봉을 제공하고 있었다. 그 외에도 우리나라 물류기업은 본사지 위치, 종업원 수, 매출액 대비 인건비 비중, 매출에 미치는 주된 사업의 4개 특성요인간에 모두 관련성을 가지고 있었다. 이 같은 사실이 서울 소재의 외항여객화 물운송업이나 기업물류대행업, 복합운송및국제운송중계업은 대기업이며, 인건비 비중은 낮으며 자본·기술·정보 집약적 투자에 더 많은 비중을 가진 사업구조라는 사실이다.

사업장 건강증진 프로그램에 대한 근로자의 건강신념 및 관련요인 (Workers' Health Belief in Health Promotion Programs and Related Factors)

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationships between worker's health belief in health promotion programs and their demographic, health, and health behavior characteristics. Methods: This study used survey data from 262 small- and large-scale workplaces. The study included 1149 male and female workers who completed the questionnaires. Results: The health belief score increased significantly with age and length of service. Male, married, shift-work, and white-collar workers showed a significantly higher health belief score than female, single, non-shift-work, and blue-collar ones. Workers with disease history, hypertension, or obesity had a significantly higher health belief score. Regular exercise was significantly correlated with the health belief score. When all the variables were included in the model, the health belief score was significantly higher in workers who were married, had a longer length of service, worked in the sales department, were diagnosed with hypertension, exercised regularly, and felt fatigue. Conclusion: The results showed that workplace intervention programs meet more the needs of workers who have a higher health belief score. In addition, given that healthier life style was related to a higher health belief score, further research is required to find how to change health behavior in workers.

한국사회의 직업기초능력의 결정 요인 및 경제적 성과 (The Formative Factors and the Economic Effects of the Basic Job Skills in Korea)

  • 본고는 OECD 주관의 2005년도 ALL(Adult Literacy and Life Skills) 조사 자료를 이용하여 직업기초능력(컴퓨터 활용능력 포함)의 결정 요인과 경제적 성과를 분석하였다. 직업기초능력에 영향을 미치는 변수는 학업연수, 아버지 학력이었다. 여성은 컴퓨터 활용능력에서 남성보다 열위에 있었다. 연령은 직업기초능력에는 정(+)의 영향을 미치고 있지만, 컴퓨터 활용능력에서는 음(-)의 영향을 미치고 있었다. 취업자의 경우, 사무관리직(자유전문직 포함) 직종과 신서비스(금융업, 사업서비스업 포함) 업종에 종사하는 자가 판매서비스 직종이나 제조업에 종사하는 자보다 컴퓨터 활용능력이 높았다. 직업기초능력의 임금효과는 유의하지 않았지만, 컴퓨터 활용능력의 임금효과는 유의하였다. 직업기초능력은 괜찮은 일자리에의 취업 확률을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 괜찮은 일자리 취업에 직업기초능력이 미치는 영향이 뚜렷하기 때문에 정규교육 시기에 직업기초능력을 갖추지 못한 사람들에게 평생학습을 통해 직업기초능력을 획득하게 하는 정책 대안의 모색이 필요하다.

1인 가구의 경제적 특성이 외식산업에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Economic Characteristics of Single-person Households on the Food Service Industry)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the economic characteristics of single-person households and explain the effects of them on the food service industry. Methods: For this paper, I analysed the data related with single-person households and the food service industry in two surveys, Household Income and Expenditure Survey and Wholesale and Retail Trade Survey published by Statistics Korea from 2006 to 2015, with an empirical test performed utilizing these data. The indicators of the age of householders, disposable income per capita, and the rate of household of worker were compared between single and multi-person households. Furthermore, sales and the number of establishments in the food service industry were used as industry-variables, and disposable income, eating-out expenses and the rate of single-person households as the household-variables were used in a panel analysis. Results: The results showed that household incomes were lower, age of householder was higher, and the percentage of household of worker was lower in single-person households in contrast to multi-person households. According to the empirical analysis, eating-out expenses of single-person households, in comparison to multi-person households, has significantly positive effects on the growth of the food service industry. This means that the recent trend of increasing numbers of single-person households may help the growth of the food service industry. Conclusions: The growth in the rate of single-person households has been one of the most striking demographic shifts in recent decades. Their economic characteristics and the effects were analyzed to give the managers in the food service industry and the policy-makers useful information in dealing with this new trend. Moreover, in considering the fact that single-person households eat out more frequently than multi-person households, the food service business should develop the managerial strategies focused on acclimatizing to single-person households.

미국 전자산업에서 IT자본의 효과: 부가가치 창출 또는 근로자의 감소 (Causal Effect from IT Capital in the US Computer and Electronic Products Industry: Value Added Increase or Labor Decrease)

  • 많은 연구자들이 정보기술 투자의 성과 측정에 관심을 가졌기에 다양한 자료원과 분석 방법으로 많은 연구가 진행되어 왔고, 대부분의 연구들은 정보기술 투자가 성과를 창출한다고 보고하고 있다. 이러한 연구들은 기업 수준에서 많이 수행되었는데, 산업 수준에서는 다른 결과가 발생할 수 있다. 전자산업의 경우, 정보기술의 성능이 증가하면 전자산업에서 생산되는 정보기술의 판매가 감소되어 전자산업의 부가가치는 감소할 수 있다. 분석결과, 미국의 전자산업에서 산업의 정보기술 자본의 증가는 산업의 부가가치를 증가시키지 못하였으나, 산업의 근로자 1인당 정보기술 자본의 증가는 산업의 근로자 1인당 부가가치(노동 생산성) 증가에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다. 또한, 미국 전자산업에서 정보기술 자본의 증가는 근로자 수를 감소시키는 결과를 보이고 있다.

백화점 판매사원의 감정노동과 직무스트레스 반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Response of Job Stress and Emotional Labor of the Sales Workers of Department Store)

  • Purpose: This study purposed on investigating how the emotional labor affects the physical uncomfortable feeling of the workers in the department store. Method: The method of data collection was used of questionnaire for 574 workers of one department store located in Seoul. The period of data collection was done from November 1, 2004 to November 30 for about one month. The working career of the participants was over one month at that department. Result: The degree of emotional labor for participants, men were $3.21{\pm}0.53$ for the total point of 5.0 point, and the degree of the physical uncomfortable feeling was $3.07{\pm}0.48$ for total of 5.0 point. The degree of emotional labor for participants, women were $3.22{\pm}0.42$ for the total point of 5.0 point, and the degree of the physical uncomfortable feeling was $3.13{\pm}0.42$ for total of 5.0 point. In order to analyze the factors that affected the emotional labor and physical uncomfortable feeling, the multi-level reflecting analysis was used. As a result, men were insecurity of job influenced the emotional labor feeling in remarkable degree, women were the responsibility of job influenced the emotional labor. Men were insecurity and responsibility of job influenced physical uncomfortable feeling in remarkable degree, women were responsibility of job and emotional labor influenced the physical uncomfortable feeling in remarkable degree. Conclusion: The results of this study show that various strategies to remove the factors of job insecurity in order to reduce the level of emotional labor of the workers at the department store should be devised. In addition, the special way to minimize the physical insecurity should be contrived and carried out. Since the workers of the department stores had higher emotional labor, the factors of stress need to be analyzed and should be removed.

대한민국 근로자의 근로시간 분석연구 (Analysis of Korean workers' working hours)

  • 본 연구에서는 2006년 1차, 2010년 2차, 2011년 3차, 2014년 4차 근로환경조사(KWCS) 결과를 바탕으로 2000년대 중반부터 약 10년에 걸쳐 직업별, 고용계약기간별, 직장 유형별, 최종학력별로 우리나라 근로자의 근로시간이 어떻게 변했는지 살펴보았다. 아울러 우리나라의 근로환경조사(KWCS)와 유럽의 2010년 5차 근로환경조사(EWCS) 결과를 비교하였다. 주당 근로시간의 경우 2000년대 중반부터 근래에까지 줄어들었지만 유럽의 근로시간보다는 아직도 더 길다. 직업별로는 서비스종사자와 판매종사자가 전문가보다, 민간부문이 공공부문 및 비영리단체보다, 그리고 저학력자가 고학력자보다 근로시간이 더 길다.

근로자 정기 건강진단 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Influencing Factors on Workers Satisfaction in Periodic Health Examination)

  • This study was carried out to investigate what factors affect satisfaction of periodic health examination undertaken by employees. The purpose of the study was to improve quality of periodic health examination and to increase the rate of workers participation in the screening test. The content of questionnaire was designed with focus on the satisfaction and attitude on the periodic health examination. Data were analyzed with 212 males, 181 females among 393 samples who took periodic examination at a general hospital in Seoul. Korea. The results were as follows: 1. Respondents were mainly in the thirties(42.7%), married(58.5%), more than 3 years working experiences(66.7%) and employed in Sales & Customers service industry(60.1%). 2. There were significant differences in the scores of satisfaction by general characteristics among the respondents. The highly educated and the single showed higher satisfaction on the periodic health examination than other respondents. 3. The scores of satisfaction in periodic health examination showed highly influenced by level of age, work duration, level of knowledge to the health screening and income. Based on the results, this study concluded that the periodic health examination might be necessary to modify its items according to the clients characteristics and their individual demands for maintenance of healthy life.

고장물리 기반 자동차 서스펜션 모듈 내구설계 (PoF based Fatigue Durability Analysis of Automobile Suspension Module)

  • In the manufacture of automobile suspension modules at a company as parts supplier, the design process includes the detail design and the design modification via structural and fatigue durability analyses considering PoF(physics of failure) of their weldments that are repeated more than four times sequentially. The approval of the design and the release of final drawings follows. For the suspension modules, e.g. control arms and cross member, the man-hours per worker required in the process outlined above can reach as high as 1,414hours. Application of the developed integrated design system can reduce the man-hours of 1,004. In comparison with the conventional design process, this integrated design system reduces the required time by about 40%. If expense is taken into account, a savings of approximately $192,000 is estimated, assuming the design process accounts for 1.5% of total sales for the parts supplier

  • According to the Korea Robotics Industry Association, the number of robots companies, sales and production are steadily increasing until 2016, and the global robot market outlook is expected to continue to increase until 2025. We need to develop more attention to robots that can make life easier for us and can replace human tasks that we cannot do. It is predicted that robots will be more developed in the future with the above statistics, and future robots will be more activated by robots that can depend on each other, fix each other, and adapt to the changing environment without humans. Therefore, the shape of the robots in the future will be developed as a group robot(swarmbot) that cooperate with each other while the robot works. These robots have been studied for a longtime, but there are only two community robots that are applied in real life, only two of which are jailbreaking robots made in KAIST and KIVA robots made in Amazon company. In the future, as these robots develop more and more, and environment where robots can live without human intervention is created, so that a plurality of robots can collaborate and do individual work.
