As the importance of SW education increases, the necessity of SW gifted education is being required that early discovery of talented children in SW fields. In 2016, thirty SW gifted classes were set up for elementary and secondary school students and SW gifted education began. However, SW gifted education could not be carried out with consistency in detail because each class had different conditions such as selection methods of gifted students, curriculum and environment. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the situation of SW gifted classes in order to decrease the gap of the SW gifted class. In this research, all the SW gifted classes were investigated in the view of the curriculum, environment, student selection and contents through reviewing the installation-performance reports and on-site visits of all classes. Also, limitations and problems of the SW gifted classes were described and improvement methods were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the curriculum of the University-affiliated Science Gifted Education Center from 2018 to 2020 to analyze the proportion of the information area in the total class and the contents of the class, thereby confirming the trend change in the information area. After analyzing the number of hours that information education occupies in the total number of class hours, information education was classified into three categories: computer use education, SW coding education, and SW convergence education, and the curriculum was analyzed in detail. The analysis results are summarized as follows. First, the proportion of information education in total education is gradually increasing compared to 2018. Second, the proportion of computer utilization education in information education is relatively decreasing, and SW coding education and SW convergence education are expanding. Considering that the field of information education has been expanded in various forms, more systematic information education will be provided to students in the future and its usefulness will increase rapidly.

In order for SW education to be established in the era of non-face-to-face caused by COVID-19, research on the efficiency of SW education according to face-to-face and non-face classes is needed. Therefore, this study classified the operation status of the curriculum of 30 SW gifted classes nationwide in 2020 according to the class method(face-to-face, non-face, and blended). Subsequently, the results of class time and production per person were compared and analyzed through quantitative analysis. According to the study, the type of classes that performed the most classes compared to the planned number of hours was non-face-to-face(90.9%), followed by face-to-face(84.2%) and the least was blended(80.5%). The average number of products per student was the highest in the face-to-face class(0.504), while the blended class(0.421) and non-face-to-face class(0.42). Based on the results of this study, the non-face-to-face approach is advantageous in securing the number of hours, but various measures should be prepared to solve this problem because teachers and students find it difficult to guide the output.

The purpose of this study is to statistically analyze the correlation between CS Unplugged education and the computational thinking of gifted and talented students. In this study, qualitative research was conducted for 17 students in 5th grade gifted class at an elementary school in the city of Yongin. Students participated in 10 hours of CS unplugged classes. Student questionnaire, class journals, student activity sheets, and student interview records were collected and qualitatively analyzed. In order to supplement the qualitative data, computational thinking ability tests were also administered. The results of the study are as follows. First, CS unplugged education plays an effective role in improving CT of gifted and talented students. Second, it was not every sub-area of CT that CS unplugged education brought statistically significant improvements in. Third, CS unplugged education is suitable to be presented as the first step of the SW curriculum for gifted and talented students.

In the previous study on the effectiveness of SW education, the educational goals were mainly focused on developing computational thinking ability and researching changes in computational thinking ability. But the word "computational thinking" is difficult to the public. Also the definition of computational thinking is varies from scholar to scholar. Therefore, this study aims to inform the public of the excellence and effectiveness of SW education through the change of "writing ability" which is more familiar to us. To achieve this goal, 10 lectures of SW training materials were produced and conducted in elementary science gifted class. As a result, significant changes have been made in the fluency and quality of writing skills, proving that SW training improves students' writing skills. Through this, we confirmed the visible results through SW education, which can be called justification of SW education. Furthermore, it is expected that various educational attempts will be developed using SW in other subjects.

The purpose of this paper is to develop and apply instructional model to improve awareness of information accessibility for gifted students in computer science. The model applied to class is designed based on Problem-Based Learning(PBL). The class was for 42 students(22 elementary school students, 20 middle school students), and the questions, cognition of the necessity for accessibility, behavior intent for accessibility were given before and after class. Additionally, interest, satisfaction and flow were given after the class. The results of this study are as follows. Firstly, it shows a difference on the changes of cognition on the necessity and behavior intent. As a gender difference, specifically, it shows a difference on the cognition of female students's necessity and behavior intent of male students. As a class level difference, specifically, it statistically shows a meaningful difference on cognitive of the necessity of elementary school students and behavior intent of middle school students. Secondly, after class, it shows a high level of interest, satisfaction. But it shows a general level of flow, so various strategies should be developed for covering the flow level.
