A new 3D micromachining method called Hole Area Modulation(HAM), has been introduced to enhance the current micromachining technology. In this method, information on the depth of machining is converted to the sizes of small holes in the mask. The machining is carried out with a simple 2D movement of the workpiece. This method can be applied for machining various kinds of microcavities in various materials. In this paper, a machematical model for excimer laser micromachining based on HAM and also determination of optimal laser ablation conditions(width hole radius, step size, path, etc.) is performed by Genetic Algorithm(GA).
A new method, so called MMA(Method of Moving Asymptotes) was applied to the optimization problems of non-linear functions and non-linear structures. In each step of the iterative process, tile MMA generates a strictly convex approximation subproblems and solves them by using the dual problems. The generation of these subproblems is controlled by so called 'moving asymptotes', which may both make no oscillation and speed up tile convergence rate of optimization process. By contrast in generalized dual function, the generated function by MMA is always explicit type. Both the objective and behaviour constraints which were approximated are optimized by dual function. As the results of some examples, it was found that this method is very effective to obtain the global solution for problems with many local solutions. Also it was found that MMA is a very effective approximate method using the original function and its 1st derivatives.
The objective of this paper is to examine a construction method and verify PLC logic using the logical modeling and simulation of a virtual plant has complex manufacturing system and the domain of application is car body assembly line of automotive industrial operated by PLC Program. The proposed virtual plant model for the analysis of the construction method consists of three types of components which are virtual device, intermediary transfer and controller is modeled by logical model but it the case of the verification of PLC program, HMI and PLC logic in the field substitute for the controller. The implementation of the proposed virtual plant model is conducted PLC Studio which is an object-oriented modeling language based on logical model. As a result, proposed methods enable 3D graphics is designed in the analysis step to use for verification of PLC program without special efforts.
In this paper, an efficient method of a hybrid stepping motor is proposed using permeance method. To be specific, hybrid stepping motor is modelled firstly as an equivalent nonlinear magnetic circuit including the saturation effects of iron parts, and then the static holding torque of the motor is calculated as a function of each design factor via Newton-Raphson's method. To show the validities of the proposed method, a prototype of hybrid stepping motor for 5 1/4 inches FDD header drive is made and tested in laboratory. As a result, the experimental data for the static holding torque is shown to be within 10% error compared with that of the simulated results.
In this study, we investigated the electromagnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite doped with rare earth oxide (Dy$_2$O$_3$, Er$_2$O$_3$). The main composition is 52mo1% ${\alpha}$-Fe$_2$O$_3$, 25mol% Mn$_3$O$_4$ 23mo1% ZnO and doped with them(0.05wt% ∼ 0.25wt%, step:0.05wt%). An experimental process has advanced by conventional ferrimagnetism manufacturing that was prepared by standard ceramic techniques. The XRD pattern of all doped sample were observed spinel and secondary phase. The density of sample were measured nearly constant value. As increased the additive, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability increased with setting limits each other. In case of Mn-Zn ferrite excess doped with them, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability decreased and magnetic loss increased in proportion to increasing the additive.
In the PAN-based ACF manufacturing system stabilization step was improved with chemical treatment (preoxidation) in order to yield higher carbon content and to avoid excessive fragmentation during carbonization and activation process. The optimal condition of preoxidation was at 18$0^{\circ}C$ for 4 minutes in sodium glyceroxide in glycerine (concentration of NaOH was 0.02 meq/g). To investigate low temperature stabilization effect, preoxidized PAN fiber heated 22$0^{\circ}C$ to 26$0^{\circ}C$ as a function of treatment time and oxidative gas atmosphere, and analysed by infrared spectrum and TGA. As a results of IR and TGA, it was clear that impregnated[preoxidative] PAN had 14% higher residual than untreated PAN at 100$0^{\circ}C$ and the optimal condition of stabilization was at 26$0^{\circ}C$ for 3.5 hours within $N_2$ atmosphere.
To obtain the basic data of the effect of antimicrobic finishing on chrome-tanned leather for apparel, it was studied that the specimens given from each step of manufacturing process, that is, steps before and after neutralization and after fixation were treated with Si-QAC as a antimicrobic finishing agent, and the antimicrobic activity was evaluated. The results were as follows: 1. The bacterial reduction of the specimens finished antimicrobically were 100% and 94.4% before and after neutralization respectively, however, the specimens carried out successive process after antimicrobic finishing exhibited the reduction of 16.5% and 14.8%. It was assumed that the antimicrobic agent was washed off by the successive process. 2. When the antimicrobic finishing was carried out on the specimens after fixation the bacterial reduction was 95.0% and then the specimen carried out successive process was 97.3%. This result indicates that antimicrobic finishing on the leather would be given after fixation rather than before and after neutralization.
The commutation operation of the current source converter for switched reluctance motor drives is analyzed in this paper. The commutation operation in the current source converter consists of two modes. At turn-off of phase switch, the phase current decreases sinusoidally, and the sum of two phase currents during commutation period is constant. At this time, the capacitor voltage increases quickly with changing polarity and decreases slowly when another phase switches turn on or off. Frequency of step-down DC chopper in the current source converter is low because of the dump such as BJTs and GTOs are possible as phase switches instead of Power MOSFET and IGBTS. They may result in reductions of conduction losses and manufacturing cost in the current source converter comparing to the voltage source converter of SRM.
Objectives: Hazard identification is the most important step in occupational health monitoring at the workplace. This paper reviewed the several related stuffs to the hazard identification in the semiconductor industry. Methods: I checked the MSDS system, chemical toxic informations, trade secrets and by-products by experience and the literature used in semiconductor industry. Results: I found and experienced as follows; (1) There are a few inventory and history of chemicals used in workplace. Toxic information of chemicals to be available is very limited. (2) There are many trade secrets in MSDS for chemical mixtures. It is difficult to identify the accurate information from MSDS. (3) By-products is necessary to identify that they will produce in workplace. Conclusions: It is necessary to regulate the obligations of employers which check the inventory and history of chemicals used in workplace. It is necessary to amend the trade secrets in MSDS system.
This paper describes a positioning system for ultra-precision that will be utilized in semiconductor manufacturing field and precision machinery. This system is composed with laser scale unit with 10nm resolution, ball screw with LM guide, brushless DC servo motor, vibration isolator and is equipped in chamber for continuous measuring environment. The dynamic of table, the problem of servo control and the traceability for micro step motion are described. These data will be applied for getting more stable system with 50nm resolution.
