  • In this paper theoretical foundation of distribution STATCON, the operating characteristics of D-STATCON, the overview of control technologies for power factor correction of D-STATCON, and the PWM current control of D-STATCON and simulated results are given to shows the practical feasibility of a Flexible AC Transmission System and Distribution Static Condenser.

  • This paper describes a detailed simulation model of the static condenser (STATCON) to analyze the dynamic interaction with the ac transmission line. The static condenser was represented by a 12-pulse voltage-source inverter sharing an energy storage dc capacitor. The voltage-source inverter consists of two 6-pulse bridges modeled with ideal gate-turn-off switches. The control system for the static condenser was designed through a mathematical model deduced from the equivalent circuit. Simulation results show that the conceived model is very effective to analyze the dynamic interaction between the static condenser and the ac transmission system.

  • This paper describes a modeling and current control techniques of Distribution static condenser (D-STATCON) for power factor compensation. The current control is based on the predictive and the space vector PWM scheme. The predictive current controlled PWM D-STATCON can maintain its performance with power factor compensation and fixed switching frequency. By using the space vector control low ripple and offset in the current and the voltage as well as fast dynamic responses are achieved with a small DC link capacitance employed.

  • This paper presents STATCON(Static Condenser) control schemes for voltage regulation, power factor correction and harmonics mitigation. Each control scheme can be applied in the system depending on the system requirements. The 20KVA STATCON is developed and tested in the reduced system model for the verification of three different control algorithms. The results of proposed controls are compared for power factor correction and voltage regulation algorithms. For each algorithm, harmonic mitigation scheme is adopted as a part of control. Finally verification of STATCON for the transient response is implemented by voltage flicker test.

  • This paper dscribes a detail simulation model with EMTP (Electro-Magnetic Transients Program) which is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON (static condenser). The SATCON was represented by two voltage-source converters connected in parallel and sharing an energy storage dc capacitor bank. The voltage source converters was modeled with ideal gate turn-off switches. The power system was represented by a detail generator model and a distributed tramnsmission line model for detail performance analyses. Analysis results show that the conceived simulation model is very effective to analyze the interaction between the ac transmission line and STATCON, and to evaluate the performance of STATCON.

  • 본 논문에서는 송전선로에 직렬로 삽입되어 선로의 리액턴스를 동적으로 보상하는 인버터식 직렬보상기에 대한 동적 응동 해석을 기술하고 있다. 이 직렬보상기는 다중펄스로 동작하는 전압원인버터와 결합변압기, 그리고 제어장치로 구성되어 있으며, 점호각을 조절하여 선로의 리액턴스를 가변하고 용량성 뿐만 아니라 유도성 보상도 가능하다. 이 보상기로 선로의 리액턴스를 감소시키면 전송 유효전력의 증각가 가능한데, 이러한 효과를 본 논문에서는 단일기-무한대-버스 전력계통에 대해 EMTP를 이용한 시뮬레션으로 확인하였으며, 또한 축소모형 제작과 실험을 통해 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • About supply and demand to see that you need to match, the limitations of wind power capacity is low demand and the commitment of the general generator will exist between the minimum generation. if the turbine's output can be controlled, The limitation of wind power capacity will be adopted based on instant power generation. Namely, The minimum limits of wind power generation based load operation by calculating the amount that is higher than if the output should be restricted to highest operation. in this paper, we committed to the demand for low enough that the combination of the general generator of wind power capacity to accommodate the operation of determining whether the limit is intended to. For this, power system analysis program PSS/E was used, Jeju system by implementing the model simulations were performed.
