  • The current juvenile law has to be improved in the following respects: First, there is no clear and objective basis for the process divided into criminal and protective dispositions. Second, the spirit of legislation to protect the boy is understandable, but when reviewing the application process of the juvenile law to actual juvenile crimes, it is hard to find such spirit. Third, in dealing with juvenile protection cases, the outcome and process of disposal should be reflected in the boy's protection ideology. Finally, efforts should be made to shorten the processing period of the case, curb the transfer of violent criminals to juvenile detention center, and integrate the latter part of the first and sixth disposition.

  • This documentary study investigated the background, content and methods of the filial education of children in the Choson Dynasty; that is, the ways in which filial conduct was taught so that the child learned manners and learned to assist parents in everyday life. The subjects of this study were the upper class(sonbi) and ranged from 7 or 8 to 13 or 14 years in Korean age. The Confucian view of nature, ethics and the family system emphasized filial duty during the Choson Dynasty. The contents of filial education were the fundamentals of filial conduct, such as daily greetings, participation(in family events), and an affectionate and respectful attitude towards parent. The method for filial education was that parents and instructors were to be good model in everyday life so that children got accustomed to good conduct. It is difficult to apply the filial conduct of the Choson Dynasty to today's life, but its basic spirit, that is, loving and respecting human beings, is still invaluable for modern times. This spirit may be applied to childhood education today by amending some out-of-date contents, and the filial ethos universalized in daily life could become a prescription for today's chaotic society.

Eco design terms were examined based on literature, and Taller Flora products were explored based on literature and websites. The following research issues were discussed. First, eco design terms are totally handled, thus defining the eco design. Second, eco design-oriented Taller Flora products are examined to explore design approaches. Eco design aims to conserve and heal the global environment with focus on a greater understanding of and interest in nature. As such, eco design is based on a new modern concept of aestheticism that seeks to minimize environmental damage caused by the three processes of production and distribution use and disposal, to take social and moral responsibilities for such activities, and to avoid hurting the environment. Taller Flora brands seek to produce products by keeping close ties with indigenous communities in various nations, and by emphasizing and embracing indigenous people's craftsmanship spirit and creativity Indigenous people use eco-friendly materials and produce products with craftsmanship spirit, and their cooperation by linking different cooperative networks is a good model for strengthening fair trade networks. These addresses the problem of expanding design work through traditional crafting. Therefore, the features of Taller Flora brands presented a new method to approach the eco fashion. The research findings are expected to help develop the eco design of fashion products.

  • It was only 2010 when start-up education spread to undergraduate education in South Korea. Start-up education was conducted so late that there are insufficient studies of evaluation and feedback on the effectiveness of start-up education. Education is a complex concept of teaching people in a desirable direction and developing their inherent abilities. Based on this, start-up education can be defined as cultivating students' entrepreneurial spirit internally and making them exhibit start-up competence externally by teaching them the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary for business start-up and developing abilities such as creativity, challenge spirit and problem-solving skills. This study conducted pre and post survey to check if the education camp for the technology start-up, which is a practice-oriented start-up education, has an effect on the change of the participating students' perceptions about the business start-up. This study would analyze various factors of college students' business start-up through a factorial analysis so that the quantitative accumulation of start-up education can lead to a qualitative change and propose measures for the management of the quality of the education.

For this, the authors approached to the theoretical background of the concept of artistic-quality, and then examined the prospect of practical application of the concept by analyzing the tendencies in today's art furniture. In this light, 'artistic-quality' of furniture could be understood as a quality that triggers the designer's venturous spirit throughout the process of furniture creation, so that the designer keeps seeking for the novelty and innovation in his experimental design and process. The feature of the current tendencies of art furniture in terms of the expression and effect, which could explain this venturous spirit of artistic-quality based furniture creation, could be summarized as follows; first, High-touch: Furniture that exemplifies the artistic-quality by specific texture of handmade quality, second, High-feeling: Furniture that arouses the new feelings and new concepts of furniture structure & function by experiments on new abstract forms of furniture, and third, High-mentality: Furniture that leads us to the sphere of subtle aesthetic recognition and mentality with its specific poetic expression and sensibility.

  • The appearance inspection of various electronic products and parts has been executed by the eyesight of human. But inspection by eyesight cannot bring about uniform inspection result. Because the appearance inspection result by eyesight of human is changed by condition of physical and spirit of the checker. So machine vision inspection system is currently used to many appearance inspection fields instead of the checker. However the inspection result of machine vision is changed by the illumination of workplace. Therefore we proposed histogram specification in this paper for machine vision inspection accuracy. As a result of histogram specification algorithm, we could increase the exactness of visual inspection and prevent system error from physical and spirit condition of human. More specifically, average inspection error rate was 7.5[%] in existing inspection method but we could see 0.6[%] error rate after applying the algorithm which is presented in this paper.

  • Globally, several ethnic groups have expressed their spirit cultures based on their ethnic identity in diverse ways. Clothing has been one of the convenient objects to express ethnic identities. Therefore, patterns and colors used in traditional costumes have worked as a means to help understanding spirit cultures of ethnic groups. Since colors help strengthening solidarity of social members based on ethnic preference and community consensus, colors have performed a crucial role as a strategic tool in the fashion business closely related to consumers' individual characteristics. In survey results, color preferences of Korean and Italian specialists showed significant differences in signboard colors and disliked colors. Many Korean fashion specialists selected pink as a preferred color, black as a clothing color, red and white as a color with high visibility, and orange as a disliked color. In case of Italy, many specialists selected red and black as highly visible colors for a signboard, and green as a disliked color. In results comparing color preference for colors between Korean and Italian fashion design specialists, there were differences in color sensibility. Since this research used data from survey conducted using a very limited and much manipulated stimuli among a wide range of color schema and patterns, the study result may not be fully generalized. In future studies, more research using diversely segmented stimuli would be needed.

  • This study is to focus on an innate creative 'spirituality' of Weimar Bauhaus' pedagogical thoughts and their backgrounds. In particular, this notes three elements of Universal mysticism, Orientalism in early Bauhaus including Expressionism, and Froebelian Education as the more practical among the romantic legacies as a source of modernism. Arguably, through these researches, just as the expressionists represent the crystallization of glass as the spirit, the important that should be noticed is explained as the fact that a panentheistic Idea of matter and spirit as a whole had been spreading to be recognized consciously or unconsciously; in other words, this awakening as dualistic monism might be one of the greatest peculiarities of modernity, and, as the fact that the universal thought and principle of 'panentheism' emphasizing a 'divine' artistic volition which is immanent in the individual is implanted first of all fundamentally by Froebelian educational influences.
