The purpose of this study was to analyze the change in modes of expression represented in fashion illustrations between the 1910s and the 1990s. 639 fashion illustrations were analyzed by content analysis and by qualitative analysis in five aspects. Typical traits in the modes of expression infashion illustrations in each period were described. The outstanding transformation in modes of expression from "before'70s" to " after'70s" were confirmed. The findings support two hypothesis: that modes of expression in fashion illustrations evolve and that changing modes of expression in fashion illustrations is a reflection of "spirit of the times".uot;spirit of the times".uot;.

From the consideration of stages and their origins assigned to the five elements by connecting O-Shin(五神) with the five organs, centered on former documents, following were achieved. 1. From the age of civil wars, the mind has been connected to the part icular organ among the five organs : the has been considered as the main body of mind activity and the central organ which controls eve ry organ. 2. A vendor supplies a product to a sole/major buyer on a lot-for-lot basis under deterministic inventory control conditions. The basic premise is that the setup cost reduction technologies are available to both the buyer and the vendor, and that the vendor's inventory and setup reduction investment costs differ from the buyer's. Therefore, an individually designed ordering and setup cost reduction policy will likely cause mismatches between the vendor's and the buyer's optimal cycle times. For this situation, we show that a joint optimal setup cost reduction and ordering policy, together with an appropriate side payment(quantity discount or premium price) schedule, can be designed in a spirit in a spirit of coordination to eliminate mismatches in individual optimal cycle times.

The purpose of this study is to review histoiral development of Gye from the home welfare point of view. Gye can be classified as an organization 1) to realize common purpose as a whole community & 2) to realize common purpose as a household or individual Home wellfare function of Gye are studied on 8 areas,. In order to revitalize original Gye spirit in he modern society following was suggested: 1) For the rural village to be unified under Durae's spirit and organize Farming Company; 2) For the urban community to link needy people's Gye and above middle class people's Gye and utilize as civil wellfare organization ; 3) For financial organizaton to develop a pool financial product.

This paper studies in terms of nonverbal communication the roles of Gut-clothinbgs used in Jin-Do Sit-gim Gut are classified as follows: 1) The message communicated through the ordinary clothings of a shaman is that he or she is waiting to serve as a presider of a Gut ceremony actiong as a mediator between the spirtual and the human world. 2) The shaman clothings representing many kinds of spirits are visualized figures which are closely related to the common wishes of most people in society e. g. physical and material well-being longevity fertility. 3) The clothings serve as a body figure in the Gut are classified into 5 groups. (1) Laid-on clothings give the message that the body is standing still. (2) Wrapped clothings serve as an incarnated body of the dead. (3) Spread clothings represent a lying body. (4) Oscillated clothings are the symbols of a spirit which moves from this world to another. (5) Burned clothings mean that the spirit has attained a complete seperation from this world.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the signification system between logo and brand concept systematically in sportswear brands. For this purpose, 37 apparel brands focused on sportswear brand were selected and the results of the study were following : First, the sportswear brands that symbolize a specific sports used a related supplies such as a golf ball or tennis ball, etc to express sports or concept that pursuit each brand. Second, the sportswear brands used the brand logo that represent or symbolize a specific animal, plant and natural world to express a strong spirit of sports and active energy. Third, the sportswear brands used the word mark or symbol that design a brand name in dynamic or speedy typeface to represent a speed and progressive spirit of sports. Fourth, the sportswear brands used the symbols that represent a concrete object, person such as a mast, shield, etc to emphasize the brand concept. Fifth, the sportswear brands used the symbols of a graphic or geometric style to represent the special quality of brand in type.

This study aims to examine the operation of a free semester system geared towards meeting education user needs by researching on youth training activities, a method of fostering talents to be equipped with the 21st-century society-required creativity, innovation ability, cooperation spirit and leadership, communication ability, problem-solving power, and venturing spirit, among other key capabilities. Thus, targeting seven public and private youth training facilities in Jeollanam-do, user satisfaction with ongoing youth training activities and achievement levels were surveyed so that problems of training facilities could be identified and improvement measures could be presented so as to ensure education that can satisfy both education providers and users.

This study shows the research of causes of deterioration of the amber from foreign cases. It also presents the conservation treatment as well as tests to examine the effect of the organic solvents on the amber in order to find reversible and safe reinforcing agent which will prevent further damage of the artefact. The result showed that there was no noticeable change in the weight of the artefact as well as on the appearance of the surface when Mineral spirit(White spirit), which is aliphatic hydrocarbon group, and Xylene, aromatic hydrocarbons group was applied. Reinforcement and restoration was carried out using Paraloid(R) B67, which has a broad option for the solvent, in Xylene. Finally, it is recommended that the use of polar organic solvent in the conservation treatment of amber artefacts should be limited.

Several scholars have discussed the relationship between fine art and fashion in meaning and expression. They have established that fashion and fine art are different branches from the same root, the Zeitgeist (time spirit), and that the Zeitgeist is materialized by various expres-sion techniques. The objective of this paper is to discuss how designers' interpretation of the Zeitgeist is expressed in their work, focusing on the 60's American society and designer Rudi Gernreich. The 60's were the period with revolutionary changes both in society itself and clothing. Rudi is the representative of the 60's designers who is called the most avant-garde and American household designer at the same time. Despite his prominent status as an avant-garde designer and social commentator, however, he has not been discussed in depth in the Korean clothing society. The consistent theme of his work was young and free spirit, and women's liberation which reflected the time he lived in. His successful interpretation of the Zeitgeist of the 60's made him establish the American-look, simple and free to move.

This paper describes the determination of geoid using height data measured by GPS and Spirit Levelling. The GPS data of the 88 stations were used to determine the geoid undulation (N) which can be easily obtained by subtracting the orthometric height(H) from the ellipsoidal height(h). From the geoid undulation (N) calculated at each station mentioned above, geoid plots with a contour interval of 0.25 m were drawn using two interpolation methods. The following interpolation methods were applied and compared with each other: Minimum Curvature Method and Least Squares Fitted Plane. Comparison between geometric geoid and gravimetric geoid undulation by FFT technique was carried out.
