  • In apartment building with column structure, reinforcing bar of the column is constructed mainly using gas pressure welding job. Therefore, gas pressure welding job in very critical process is construction apartment building with column structure. The purpose of this study is to analyze productivity of gas pressure welding work in column structure apartment using Web-CYCLONE. In this study, a CYCLONE model was developed for the productivity analysis of gas pressure welding work. Through this model, the optimal combination of the resources was obtained. This study will be utilized in the future as a useful tool of productivity analysis and the determination of an optimal combination of resources for gas pressure welding in apartment with column structure.

  • Most engineers, related to soil and civil dynamic field, have been interested in the direct dynamic design of building transmitted from soil and rock to structure due to blasting. However it is not easy to estimate the dynamic response of structures due to blasting by using analytical method because of difficulties of soil modeling, prediction of excitation force and so on. In this paper, dynamic analysis have been performed to predict vibration level and evaluate dynamic safety of structure adjacent to tunnel blast and the semi empirical method, which is based on vibration measurement data, has been employed to consider blast vibration characteristics.

  • Offshore wind turbine are subjected to more various loads than general land structures and the stability of structures is supported by the piles driven deeply in the subsoil. So it is more important for offshore structures to consider seabed soil-structure interaction than land structures. And the response of a fixed offshore structure supported by pile foundations is affected by resist dynamics lateral loading due to wave forces and ocean environmental loads. In this study, offshore wind tower response are calculated in the time domain using a finite element package(ANSYS 11.0). Several parameters affecting the vibration characteristics of the natural frequency and mode shape and the tower response have been investigated.

  • This thesis complemented the weak points that the existing theses did not represented a phase characteristic as the equivalent circuit by applying 4-port simulation to DGS (Defected Ground Structure) characteristic and an equivalent circuit, which are the transmission line structure that has the defect made in the ground surface. We used a distribute device and a lumped device, obtained the equivalent circuit by applying the structure of balun to a discontinuous part. An indicated DGS (Defected Ground structure) is a dumbbells-shaped single defect, we indicated satisfying a magnitude and phase characteristics by applying this equivalent circuit.

  • This paper presents a new Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor(IGBT) for power switching device based on Non Punch Through(NPT) IGBT structure. The proposed structure has adding N+ beside the P-base region of the conventional IGBT structure. The proposed device has faster turn-off time and lower forward conduction loss than the conventional IGBT structure.

  • The purpose of this study is to set up the concept and the structure of 'the image' theoretically. The study is carried out by the literature research. The image is constituted of several concepts which are as followed: The concept of definition: perception cognition/impression. The concept of target: objective/per-son The concept of content: internal/exter-nal The concept of level :lower/upper Especially levels of image are divided into 3 different levels which are 'simple level' 'complex level 1' 'com-plex level 2' The concept of image is classified into the horizontal and the vertical structure. The concepts of the definition the target the con-tent are included in horizontal strcture and the concept of the level is included in the ver-tical structure.

  • A typical honeycomb sandwich panel consists of two thin, high-strength facings bonded to a thick, light-weight core. Each component by itself is relatively weak and flexible, but when it combined in a sandwich panel they produce a structure that is stiff, strong, and lightweight. To prove the suitability the honeycomb sandwich structure with prepreg, the mechanical properties of the skin materials and honeycomb sandwich structure were evaluated with the static strength tests. Accordingly, the honeycomb sandwich structure made by autoclave process is available for a panel on LCD/PDP assembly line.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a structural. analysis system of LNG pump tower structure. The system affords to build optimized finite element model and procedure of the pump tower structure. The pump tower structure is one of the most important components of LNG (liquefied natural gas) carriers. The pump tower structure is subject to sloshing load of LNG induced by ship motion depending on filling ratio. Three types of loading components, which are thermal, inertia and self-gravity are considered in the analysis. All these design and analysis procedures are embedded in to the analysis system successfully.

  • Railroad, the structure maintenance and restoration project was increased and widely performed in concrete pavement road and airport, building at downtown area, bridge abutment, and other concrete structures. Especially, the ground reinforcement technique by quick-reaction expansible resins is the most effective countermeasures against differential settlement and undesired deformation of structure. In this paper, the unconfined compressive strength and some environmental related tests were conducted to evaluate compressive strength and environmental effect of quick-reaction expansive resins and soil mixtures. Also, three case histories of concrete structure and railroad restoration project are presented. Based on the laboratory test, the quick-reaction expansible resins and soil mixture represent the sufficient compressive strength and the leachate material is satisfied the environmental regulation limits. As a result of this study, the structure restoration technology using quick-reaction expansible resins is very effective for restoration of differential settlement and deformation, and it is environmentally sustainable technology.

  • The failures of local structure of marine medium-speed diesel engine occurred in durability test. The vibration response of the whole engine was in an acceptance level, but the local structures were broken. ODS test and vibration measurement were carried out in order to investigate the root cause of durability problem. These tests revealed that the root cause of failures was excessive vibration by $4.5^{th}$ resonance between engine body and local structure. The best solution to reduce the vibration response is to change the type of mount. After a rigid mount was replaced by a flexible mount, maximum vibration level dropped to 72%.
