  • In this note, we mainly discuss strongly Gorenstein hereditary rings. We prove that for any ring, the class of SG-projective modules and the class of G-projective modules coincide if and only if the class of SG-projective modules is closed under extension. From this we get that a ring is an SG-hereditary ring if and only if every ideal is G-projective and the class of SG-projective modules is closed under extension. We also give some examples of domains whose ideals are SG-projective.

Detecting Anomalies in Time-Series Data using Unsupervised Learning and Analysis on Infrequent Signatures

  • We propose a framework called Stacked Gated Recurrent Unit - Infrequent Residual Analysis (SG-IRA) that detects anomalies in time-series data that can be trained on streams of raw sensor data without any pre-labeled dataset. To enable such unsupervised learning, SG-IRA includes an estimation model that uses a stacked Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) structure and an analysis method that detects anomalies based on the difference between the estimated value and the actual measurement (residual). SG-IRA's residual analysis method dynamically adapts the detection threshold from the population using frequency analysis, unlike the baseline model that relies on a constant threshold. In this paper, SG-IRA is evaluated using the industrial control systems (ICS) datasets. SG-IRA improves the detection performance (F1 score) by 5.9% compared to the baseline model.

  • 국제전기통신연합(ITU)은 UN 산하 정보통신기술에 대한 전문 국제표준화기구이다. 193개 회원국, 약 900개 기업 및 학교 멤버 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 산하에 전기통신표준화부문(ITU-T), 전기통신개발부문(ITU-D), 그리고 전파통신 부문(ITU-R) 등 3개의 부문으로 구성되어 있다[1]. ITU-T는 역할과 임무에 따라 11개의 연구반 (SG, study group)으로 구성되며, 각 업무에 맞는 선도 그룹(Lead Study Group)을 지정하여 국제표준을 개발하고 있다. 정보보호 국제표준은 ITU-T SG17(보안)에서 담당하고 있다[2]. ITU-T 국제표준화 조직은 4년 주기의 연구회기(Study Period)로 연구반 구조조정, 의장단 선출 및 표준화 추진 방향을 WTSA(World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly) 총회에서 결정한다. 2020년 11월에도 WTSA-20 총회가 개최될 예정이었으나, 코로나19로 총회가 2022.3월로 연기되었다. 본 논문에서는 WTSA-20 총회가 연기됨에 따라 기존 연구회기(2017.1-2020.12)의 연장인 추가 연구회기(2020.11-2022.2) 동안에 ITU-T SG17 의장단과 연구반 내에 구조조정 결과에 대해 정리하고, SG17 국제표준화 현황을 다룬다.

  • The General roles of a spacer grid(SG) are providing a lateral and vertical support for fuel rods, promoting a mixing of coolant and keeping guide tubes straight so as not to impede a control rod insertion under any normal or accidental conditions. To evaluate the impact characteristics of a SG such as impact velocity, critical buckling strength and duration time, a few types of impact tests for SGs have been conducted. In a previous study, a new welding method, a through-welding method, was proposed to increase critical buckling strength of a SG without any design change or material change and was verified by impact tests with $7{\times}7$ partial SG specimens.In this paper, the effect of through-welding method in case of a $16{\times}16$ full-size SG is investigated by pendulum impact tests with $16{\times}16$ SG specimens. And the increase of critical buckling strength for full-size SGs is measured by comparison with impact results of spot-welded and through-welded SGs.

Photosynthetic Characteristics of Rice Cultivars with Depending on Leaf Senescence during Grain Filling (엽노화 정도가 다른 벼 품종의 등숙기 광합성 특성)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the varietal differences in leaf senescence and the relationship between leaf senescence and photosynthesis during ripening stage of rice. During grain filling period, leaf senescence was evaluated by SPAD readings (an indirect indicator of chlorophyll content) for 3 rice varieties (SNU-SG1, Hwaseongbyeo, Nampungbyeo). SPAD value of flag leaf and 2nd leaf of SNU-SG1 were much higher than the other varieties and the leaves of SNU-SG1 also showed a tendency of delayed senescence as compared to the other varieties. Photosynthesis at light saturation (Pmax) of flag, 2nd and 3rd leaf in SNU-SG1 during grain filling period were much higher than Hwaseongbyeo and Nampungbyeo. The Pmax of the flag leaf in SNU-SG1 was especially higher over 20% than the other varieties. It was due to its higher mesophyll conductance and stomatal conductance as compared to the other varieties. Pmax, stomatal conductance and mesophyll conductance had positive correlation with SPAD value and nitrogen concentration of leaves. In conclusion, the stay green characteristics of SNU-SG1 would contribute to increasing the grain yield through the improved photosynthesis during grain filling.

lacZ- and aph-Based Reporter Vectors for In Vivo Expression Technology

  • Three vectors, pSG1, 2, and 3, which facilitate in vivo expression technology (IVET) in Gram-negative bacteria, were developed. Vectors pSG1and 2 are derivatives of ColE1, and pSG3 is a derivative of an R6K replicon. These vectors contain oriT sites that allow mobilization when the RK2 Tra functions are provided in trans. These vectors contain promoterless lacZ (pl-lacZ) and promoterless aph (pl-aph) transcriptionally fused together, which allow qualitative and quantitative measurements of the expression of genes in the genome of bacterial cells. pSG1 and 3 contain gentamicin-resistance genes, and pSG2 carries a streptomycin-/spectinomycin-resistance gene, allowing for selection of recombinants generated by a single crossover between a library fragment cloned into a pSG vector and the identical region in the genome of a bacterial species from which the library fragment originated. These vectors were successfully applied to the generation of random fusions at high rates in the genomes of four representative Gram-negative bacteria. In addition, the expression level of ${\beta}-galactosidase$ and the degree of resistance to kanamycin in cells with fusions generated by these vectors were found to be linearly correlated, proving that these vectors can be used for IVET.

  • The function of Feed Water Ring is to provide the flow path from Feedwater Nozzle to inside of SG(steam generator). Significant amounts of general FAC on the outside of the Feed Water Ring are not likely due to the low flow velocities in this area. However, on the interior of the Feed Water Ring, there may be areas of local higher flow velocity which could lead to higher FAC rates. These may include the inlet tee from the Feedwater Nozzle into the Feed Water Ring, the areas where the Feed Water Ring changes diameter, and especially the entrance area to the J-Nozzles. In this paper, the results of root cause analysis of through-wall hole observed at domestic WH 51F SG Feed Water Ring and its effect on the integrity and performance of SG are described. And, the maintenance strategy for WH 51F SG Feed Water Ring and the monitoring strategy for Downcomer Feed Water Ring of CE System 80 SG are presented.

The Biomechanical Analysis of the First Hurdling in Men's 110m Hurdle between Skilled and Less-Skilled Hurdle Players (110 m 허들경기의 제 1허들에 대한 우수선수와 비우수선수의 운동역학적 요인 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide a fundamental information for enhancing 110m hurdlers' performance through conducting comparative biomechanical analysis between Skilled Group(SG) and Less-Skilled Group(LSG) those who are not in the first section of 110m hurdles. To persue the purpose of this study, total of 10 hurdlers participated. Then they were divided into two groups; SG: five hurdlers who have won awards with 14-second range at 2010 national track and field event, and LSG: five hudlers who did not win any awards with 15-second range. Three-dimensional motion analysis with 12 infrared cameras(Oqus 300, Qualisys) and 1 force plate(Type 9286AA, Kistler) was performed. From this study following conclusions were obtained. 1) For the overall runtime, SG revealed faster elapsed time than that of LSG. 2) At E4, LSG showed greater trunk angle than that of SG. 3) At E3 LSG revealed higher angular velocities than that of SG. 4) No significant differences was found for AP GRF between groups but LSG showed greater VGRF than that of SG.

Processed Panax ginseng, Sun Ginseng Increases Type I Collagen by Regulating MMP-1 and TIMP-1 Expression in Human Dermal Fibroblasts

  • In the present study, effects of sun ginseng (SG) on the collagen synthesis and the proliferation of dermal fibroblast were investigated. Collagen synthesis was measured by assaying procollagen type I C-peptide production. In addition, the level of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-1 was assessed by western blot analysis. SG suppressed the MMP-1 protein level in a dose-dependent manner. In contrast, SG dose-dependently increased tissue inhibitors of MMP (TIMP)-1 production in fibroblasts. SG increased type I collagen production directly and/or indirectly by reducing MMP-1 and stimulating TIMP-1 production in human dermal fibroblasts. SG dose-dependently induced fibroblast proliferation and this, in turn, can trigger more collagen production. These results suggest that SG may be a potential pharmacological agent with anti-aging properties in cultured human skin fibroblast.

STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INTEGRITY ANALYSIS OF A TOTAL LOSS OF ALL HEAT SINKS ACCIDENT FOR WOLSONG NPP UNIT 1

  • A total loss of all heat sinks is considered a severe accident with a low probability of occurrence. Following a total loss of all heat sinks, the degasser/condenser relief valves (DCRV) become the sole means available for the depressurization of the primary heat transport system. If a nuclear power plant has a total loss of heat sinks accident, high-temperature steam and differential pressure between the primary heat transport system (PHTS) and the steam generator (SG) secondary side can cause a SG tube creep rupture. To protect the PHTS during a total loss of all heat sinks accident, a sufficient depressurization capability of the degasser/condenser relief valve and the SG tube integrity is very important. Therefore, an accurate estimation of the discharge through these valves is necessary to assess the impact of the PHTS overprotection and the SG tube integrity of the primary circuit. This paper describes the analysis of DCRV discharge capacity and the SG tube integrity under a total loss of all heat sink using the CATHENA code. It was found that the DCRV's discharge capacity is enough to protect the overpressure in the PHTS, and the SG tube integrity is maintained in a total loss of all heat accident.
