오징어 먹물에서 추출한 멜라닌에 의한 양모 염색

  • 오징어에서 추출한 천연염료인 멜라닌 분말을 이용한 양모직물의 염색은 pH와 멜라닌 분말 농도의 변화에 따라 액비 20:1, 온도 $100^{\circ}C$에서 60분간 염색하였다. 5% owf의 멜라닌 분말을 사용하여 pH 4에서 염색 한 결과 6.6의 표면염착농도(K/S)를 보였고 면직물의 K/S보다 높은 염색성을 보였다.

Combination Dyeing of Triacetate/PET Blended Fabric with Disperse Dye (트리아세테이트/PET 혼방 직물의 분산염료 혼합염색)

  • The aim of this study is to find the optimal combination dyeing condition for the enhancement of dye uptake and union dyeing of the composite material fabric made of triacetate and quick drying PET blended yarn. For the experiment, fabrics were one-bath combination dyed using the mixed dye of E-type disperse dye(C.I Disperse red 50) and S-type disperse dye(C.I. Disperse red 92) to measure dyed fabric's dye exhaustion, dye uptake, color and color difference according to the diverse conditions including dying temperature, time and mixed ratio of the dye. Dye equilibrium of combination dyeing occurred in $100^{\circ}C$, but by comparing dyed fabrics' K/S value and surface color, it was found that $120^{\circ}C$ was where the manifestation of color of triacetate and quick drying PET was identical. Mixed dye exhaustion and dye uptake merely changed as dyeing time increased, but color became more uniform. Therefore, it can be concluded that by using combination dyeing method, and by using the mixed dye which the mixing ratio of S-type dye and E-type dye is appropriately controlled, dye uptake can be improved compared to using single dyeing regardless of the color of E-type dye.

  • PET/면, 나일론/PET, 나일론/면 등 다양한 복합섬유소재를 염색하기 위해서는 복합섬유소재를 구성하는 각각의 섬유소재에 따라 적합한 염료를 선정하고 그에 맞는 염색방법을 사용하여 진행되고 있다. 하지만 이런 경우 색상과 견뢰도 등의 물성을 맞추기 위한 복잡한 염색공정 및 긴 염색시간에 의한 생산비용 상승 등 여러 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 하나의 염료를 이용하여 다양한 섬유를 염색하는 방법에 대한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 새로운 염료합성의 경우 섬유와 결합할 수 있는 반응기를 분산염료구조에 도입하여 염색조건에 따라 다양한 섬유를 염색할 수 있는 universal dye의 개발에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 반응성염료와 분산염료의 특성을 동시에 만족시키기 위한 일환으로서 염료의 분자 구조 내에 상기의 염료특성을 동시에 발휘하는 소위 "반응성 분산염료"의 개발이 이에 속한다. 본 연구의 목적은 화학구조가 다른 네 종류의 sulphatoethylsulphone기를 갖는 반응성분산염료들을 합성하고 이들의 나일론, PET, 면 및 교직물에 대한 염색성을 분석하는 것이다. 면 섬유에 대한 Dye 1~4의 염색온도에 따른 염색성을 살펴보면, 각 염료들의 염색성은 염색온도에 따라 큰 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있으며, Dye 1, 4는 염색온도가 높을수록 K/S 값이 증가하고 Dye 2, 3은 염색온도가 낮을수록 K/S 값이 증가함을 알 수 있다. Nylon에 대한 Dye 1의 염색속도는 pH 4 > pH 5 > pH 8 > pH 7 > pH 6의 순서로 나타나 pH 6에서의 염착 평형이 pH 4보다 40분 정도 늦게 도달하였다. 나일론과 PET의 동욕염색에 있어 Dye 1은 나일론의 경우 초기부터 빠른 흡착을 보이며 $100^{\circ}C$가 되는 60분에는 K/S값이 16에 도달하여 염착 평형에 근접한 것을 알 수 있으며, PET는 $100-200^{\circ}C$ 사이에서 염색속도가 빨라지며 본격적으로 흡수하였다. N/C 교직물에 대한 Dye 2, 3의 빌드업성은 두 염료 모두 염료농도의 증가에 따라 K/S 값 역시 선형적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 나일론 섬유는 네 가지 염료로 우수하게 염색되었고, 면 섬유는 수용성기를 가진 Dye 2와 3, 그리고 PET 섬유는 소수성이 높은 Dye 1과 4가 적합하였다. N/P 및 N/C 교직물의 염색에 있어 나일론 성분으로 염료가 더 많이 흡착하여 나일론섬유가 더 진하게 염색되지만 교직물의 직물조직에 의하여 표면과 이면은 각각 거의 동색으로 보였다.

  • 최근 m-Aramid 섬유의 염색에 대한 연구가 진행되면서 기존의 원착법 및 초고온고압법 등 상업성이 낮거나 제약이 많았던 염색법에서 차츰 cationic dye를 이용한 염색법이 상용화되고 있다. m-Aramid 섬유는 amide기의 분자 간 수소결합으로 인하여 결정화도를 증가시킴으로서 고강도, 고탄성의 특성을 가질 수 있지만, 강력한 분자구조와 고결정성의 치밀구조로 인하여 염료가 섬유의 분자구조 내부로 확산, 염착되기 어려운 단점을 가지기도 한다. 따라서 m-Aramid 섬유를 침염법으로 염색 시, 섬유의 치밀구조를 이완시켜줄 수 있는 swelling agent가 중요하게 작용한다. 본 연구에서는 cationic dye를 이용하여 swelling agent의 영향성을 살펴보았다. 사용된 시료는 100% m-Aramid 섬유이며, C.I. Basic Yellow 28, Red 46, Blue 54를 사용하여, 욕비 1:10, $NaNO_3$ 7g/l의 조건으로 $130^{\circ}C{\times}60$분간 염색하였다. 이때 사용된 Swelling agent는 두 가지로 각각 1-phenoxypropan-2-ol(S1)과 N-methyl formanilide(S2)를 주성분으로 한다. 염색 시 염료의 농도는 0.5~7% o.w.f.이며, 염색 전 후 염욕을 UV-VIS을 통해 absorbance값을 측정하여 산출한 염착율과, CCM을 사용하여 최대흡수 파장에서 산출 된 K/S값을 비교 고찰 하였다. 각각의 염색물을 비교한 결과 Red 염료를 제외한 yellow 및 blue 모두 3% o.w.f. 염료농도까지 90% 이상의 흡착율을 보였으며, S1에 비해 S2의 경우 염착율이 근소하게 높은 결과를 보였다. 반면 K/S 값을 비교해보면, S2를 사용하였을 때 10%~60% 높은 K/S값을 보였다. 염착율은 비슷하지만 K/S값의 차이를 보이는 이유는 염색이 끝난 후 수세과정에서 섬유표면에 미고착된 염료들이 빠져나가는 것으로, 이를 통해 S2의 경우 섬유의 내부로 염료를 잘 고착시켜 줌으로서 수세안정성이 S1에 비에 우수한 결과를 보인 것으로 고찰된다.

A Study of Dyeing Properties of PET Fabrics under Supercritical CO2 Depending on Test Condition: by Temperature, Pressure, Leveling Time (초임계 유체 염색 조건에 따른 PET 섬유의 염색 특성: 온도별, 압력별, 시간별)

  • In this study, dyeability of PET fabric was investigated depending on dyeing temperature, pressure, and leveling time using laboratory scale supercritical $CO_2(scCO_2)$ dyeing machine. Dyeing temperature, pressure, leveling time were varied from 100, 120, $130^{\circ}C$, 150, 200, 250bar, 40, 60, 80, 100min, respectively. It is proved that the higher temperature of $scCO_2$ dyeing process, the higher K/S value and the lower $L^*$ value, which in turn means the lower amount of dyeing molecules remained after process done. Compared 200bar with 250bar of dyeing pressure, $scCO_2$ dyeing fabrics under 250bar appeared to have a lower $L^*$ value, a higher K/S value than those from 200bar, meaning that dyeing color turns to darker with higher dyeing pressure. The experiments showed that the most ideal condition for $scCO_2$ dyeing process is $120^{\circ}C$, 250bar for 60 - 100min of leveling time.

  • K/S values, Hue, Value, and Chroma changes of the hot-water and alkali extract of Boehmeria tricuspis have investigated to obtain an optimum dyeing conditions. Maximum optical absorption of the cotton, Hanji, and silk dyed with the extract were observed at 400 nm. The K/S value of the dyed silk was higher than those of other materials in the treatments with the temperature and time condition and there was not much changes in the treatments near $80\;^{\circ}C$ and 40 minutes. Also, the K/S value of the dyed silk was drastically increased as the concentration of the dye was increased. In the treatments with temperature and time condition, Hue of the materials dyed with alkali extracts resulted in YR color, whereas materials dyed with hot-water extracts provided R color. In the time and temperature condition of treatment, there were no significant changes in the samples treated near $80\;^{\circ}C$ and 40 minutes. The Value and Chroma of the dyed materials were not significantly changed. As a result, it is suggested that the optimum temperature, time, and concentration of dye would be $80\;^{\circ}C$, 40 minutes, and 100%, respectively, when cotton, Hanji, and silk are dyed with Boehmeria tricuspis extract.

Preparation of S-keratose/Nylon 6 Nonwoven Webs by Electrospinning (전기방사를 이용한 S-keratose/Nylon 6 부직포의 제조)

  • Oxidation method was used to extract S-keratose from wool. Wool was treated with performic acid and soluble fraction(S-keratose) was collected by evaporating the solvent. S-keratose and Nylon 6 were dissolved in formic acid at the ratio of 100/0, 80/20, 50/50, 20/80, and 0/100, and S-keratose/Nylon 6 web of sub-micron size was made by electro-spinning technique. SEM, EA, FT-IR, XRD, and TGA were used to characterize the properties of S-keratose/Nylon 6 solutions and electrospun fibers. As the Nylon 6 content increased, viscosity, conductivity of the electrospinning solution and the diameter of spun fiber increased. Electrospun nonwoven webs have the same S-keratose/Nylon 6 ratios of the spinning solutions. The crystalline structures of S-keratose and Nylon 6 existed separately in the electrospun webs. Thermal stability of the webs increased due to Nylon 6 content.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate dyeing properties of wool fabric with walnut colorants. Walnut colorants were extracted with water from walnut hull and characterized by FT-IR analysis. Effects of dyeing conditions and mordanting on dyeing properties and colorfastness were studied. Results obtained were as follows, 1. Higher K/S value was obtained at higher temperature and longer dyeing time, the highest K/S value was shown at 100℃, 60min. 2. Dye uptake was increased with the increase in colorants concentration up to 2%. Higher K/S value was obtained at acidic condition. 3. Mordanting was not effective for improving dye uptake and colorfastness and for changing color of the dyed fabric.
