The half-metallicity and magnetism of the (001) surfaces of $(AlP)_1/(CrP)_1$ superlattice were investigated by means of FLAPW (Full-potential Liniarized Augmented Plane Wave) method. We considered four types of (001) surface termination, i.e., Al(S)-, Cr(S)-, P(S)Al(S-1)- and P(S)Cr(S-1)-term systems. We found that only Cr(S)-term system maintains the half-metallicity at the surface as only this system has the calculated magnetic moment of integer number of bohr magnetons. The magnetic moment of Cr(S) atom in the system was $3.02{\mu}_B$ which was increased from the bulk value by the effects of band narrowing and increased spin-splitting at the surface. The electronic density of states of the P(S) atom in the P(S)Al(S-1)-term showed very sharp surface states due to the broken $p_z$ bonds at the surface. We found there is still a strong p-d hybridization between the P(S) and Cr(S-1) layers in the P(S)Cr(S-1)-term which causes a considerable increase of magnetic moment of P(S) atom.

A graph is $s$-regular if its automorphism group acts regularly on the set of its $s$-arcs. In this paper, the cubic $s$-regular graphs of order 12p, 36p, 44p, 52p, 66p, 68p and 76p are classified for each $s{\geq}1$ and each prime $p$. The number of cubic $s$-regular graphs of order 12p, 36p, 44p, 52p, 66p, 68p and 76p is 4, 3, 7, 8, 1, 4 and 1, respectively. As a partial result, we determine all cubic $s$-regular graphs of order 70p except for $p$ = 31, 41.

Following seven new nucleophilic adducts of sulfilimine compounds were prepared by the addition of 1-methyl-5-mercapto-1,2,3,4-tetrazole to vinylsulfilimine derivatives; S-Phenyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine, S-p-tolyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine, S-m-tolyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine, S-p-chlorophenyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine, S-p-bromophenyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine, S-p-methoxyphenyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine and S-p-nitrophenyl-S-2-(1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazole-5-thio)-ethyl-N-p-tosylsulfilimine. The structures of these adducts were confirmed by elemental analyses, MP, UV, IR-and NMR-Spectra.

To examine intracellular signaling of human $S1P_3\;(hS1P_3),$ a sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) receptor in plasma membrane, $hS1P_3$ DNA was transfected into RH7777 rat hepatoma cell line, and the inhibition of forskolin-induced cAMP accumulation and activation of MAP kinases by S1P were tested. In $hS1P_3$ transformants, S1P inhibited forskolin-induced activation of adenylyl cyclase activity by about 80% and activated MAP kinases in dose-dependent and pertussis-toxin (PTX) sensitive manners. In oocytes expressing $hS1P_3$ receptor, S1P evoked $Cl^-$ conductance. These data suggested that PTX-sensitive G proteins are involved in $hS1P_3-mediated$ signaling, especially the positive action of S1P in cell proliferation. The potential advantages of rat hepatoma cells for the research of sphingosine 1-phosphate receptor are discussed.

Let M(X, Y) denote the space of multipliers from X to Y, where X and Y are analytic function spaces. As we known, for Dirichlet-type spaces 𝓓_α^p, M(𝓓_p-1^p, 𝓓_q-1^q) = {0}, if p ≠ q, 0 < p, q < ∞. If 0 < p, q < ∞, p ≠ q, 0 < s < 1 such that p + s, q + s > 1, then M(𝓓_p-2+s^p, 𝓓_q-2+s^q) = {0}. However, X ∩ 𝓓_p-1^p ⊆ X ∩ 𝓓_q-1^q and X ∩ 𝓓_p-2+s^p ⊆ X ∩ 𝓓_q-2+s^p whenever X is a subspace of the Bloch space 𝓑 and 0 < p ≤ q < ∞. This says that the set of multipliers M(X ∩ 𝓓 _p-2+s^p, X∩𝓓_q-2+s^q) is nontrivial. In this paper, we study the multipliers M(X ∩ 𝓓_p-2+s^p, X ∩ 𝓓_q-2+s^q) for distinct classical subspaces X of the Bloch space 𝓑, where X = 𝓑, BMOA or 𝓗^∞.

Migration and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells are crucial for tissue regeneration in response to injury. Sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) is a bioactive lipid that regulates a variety of biological processes, including proliferation, survival, differentiation and motility. In the present study, we determined the role of S1P in migration and differentiation of human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). S1P stimulated migration of BMSCs in a dose- and time-dependent manner, and pre-incubation of the cells with pertussis toxin completely abrogated S1P-induced migration, suggesting involvement of Gi-coupled receptors in S1P-induced cell migration. S1P elicited elevation of intracellular concentration of $Ca^{2+}$ ($[Ca^{2+}]_i$) and pretreatment with VPC23019, an antagonist of $S1P_1/S1P_3$, blocked S1P-induced migration and increase of $[Ca^{2+}]_i$. Small interfering RNA-mediated knockdown of endogenous $S1P_1$ attenuated S1P-induced migration of BMSCs. Furthermore, S1P treatment induced expression of $\alpha$-smooth muscle actin ($\alpha$-SMA), a smooth muscle marker, and pretreatment with VPC23019 abrogated S1P-induced $\alpha$-SMA expression. S1P induced phosphorylation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and pretreatment of cells with SB202190, an inhibitor of p38 MAPK, or adenoviral overexpression of a dominant-negative mutant of the p38 MAPK blocked S1P-induced cell migration and $\alpha$-SMA expression. Taken together, these results suggest that S1P stimulates migration and smooth muscle differentiation of BMSCs through an $S1P_1$-p38 MAPK-dependent mechanism.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between mother's beliefs on child rearing and children's self-perceptions. The subject of this study were comprised of 167 children aged 8-10 in Iksan & Kunsan city from Dec. 2 to Dec. 8, 2000. The children's self-perceptions were assessed by the self perceptions profile for children. Mother's beliefs questionnaire, developed by Okagaki and Sternberg, was used to obtain the data on mother's beliefs of parenting. The methods of analyses included basic descriptive categorical analysis as well as t-test, one way ANOVA-test, and multiple regression analyses. The major findings from the analyses are as follows: First, a significant difference was found in the degree of mother's beliefs about child rearing by mother's religion(p<.01), mother's education(p<.05), income(p<.001), level of life (p<.0l), mother's job, mother and fathers' agreement of child rearing(p<.05), relationship between mother and child(p<.05) in independence but a significant difference was not found in the degree of mother's beliefs about child rearing in accommodation. Second, the levels of children's scholastic performance were related to higher levels of mother's education(p<.001), mother's income(p<.001), mother and fathers' agreement of child rearing(p<.01). The levels of children's social competence was related to higher, child's gender (p<.01); girls were higher than boys. The levels of children's athletic abilities were not significant. The levels of children's physical appearance was related to higher levels of mother's education(p<.01), mother's income(p<.01), level of life(p<.05), mother's marriage(not divorce)(p<.01). The levels of children's behavioral conduct were related to higher levels of child's gender (p<.05), mother's education(p<.01), mother's income (p<.01), relationship between father and child(p<.0l). The levels of children's global self worth were related to higher levels of mother's age(p<.05), mother's education(p<.001), level of life(p<.05). Third according to the multiple regression analyses for the relationships between mother's beliefs about child rearing and children's self perceptions, mother's beliefs on the creativity were related to higher levels of children's scholastic performance, social competence, and mother's beliefs on the problem solving skills to higher levels of children's behavioral conduct and mother's beliefs on the accommodation to lower levels of children's scholastic performance, social conduct.

In this study, the (p)ZnTe/(n)Si solar cell and (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si poly-junction thin film are fabricated by vaccum deposition method at the substrate temperature of $200{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ and then their electrical properties are investigated and compared each other. The test results from the (p)ZnTe/(n)Si solar cell the (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si poly-junction thin fiim under the irradiation of solar energy $100[mW/cm^2]$ are as follows; Short circuit current$[mA/cm^2]$ (p)ZnTe/(n)Si:28 (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si:6.5 Open circuit voltage[mV] (p)ZnTe/(n)Si:450 (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si:250 Fill factor (p)ZnTe/(n)Si:0.65 (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si:0.27 Efficiency[%] (p)ZnTe/(n)Si:8.19 (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si:2.3 The thin film characteristics can be improved by annealing. But the (p)ZnTe/(n)Si solar cell are deteriorated at temperatures above $470^{\circ}C$ for annealing time longer than 15[min] and the (n)CdS-(p)ZnTe/(n)Si thin film are deteriorated at temperature about $580^{\circ}C$ for longer than 15[min]. It is found that the sheet resistance decreases with the increase of annealing temperature.

This study was designed to observe the effects of dietary P/S ratio on lipid component in plasma and tissues. Changes in plasma total cholesterol and triglyceride concentration and also cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations in liver, small intestine and aorta were determined in adult rats fed experimental diets providing different dietary P/S ratios as 0.05, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0, respectively. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. Feed efficiency ratio was not significantly different among six groups at 2nd week. But at 4th week, the higher the dietary P/S ratio the higher the feed efficiency ratio. 2. Plasma cholesterol level was getting higher as increased dietary P/S ratio at 2nd week, But that was significantly decreased as P/S ratio increased at 4th week. 3. Plasma triglyceride level was significantly decreased as increased dietary P/S ratio at 4th week. 4. Cholesterol concentrations in liver and small intestines were getting higher as increased dietary P/S ratio at 4th week, But aortas cholesterol concentration was not influenced by P/S ratio. 5. Triglyceride concentrations in liver and small intestines were significantly increased as increased dietary P/S ratio. On the contrary, triglyceride concentration in aortas was not influenced by P/S ratio.
