산업용 저전압 SR모터의 진상각 제어 (Advance Angle Control For Industrial Low Voltage SR Motor)

  • switched reluctance motors and drives are increasingly used in industrial applications due to their robust mechanical structure, low inertia and reduction in the rotor losses. As the motor speed increase turn on angle must be advanced to build up phase current. When C-dump converter is applied to switched reluctance motor, the capacitance of dump C has to have proper value. In this paper advance angle for a switched reluctance motor and capacitance of dump C are investigated. Then proper advance angle and the capacitance of dump-C are propose for the industrial low voltage SR motor.

불확실한 상태 천이를 가진 입력/상태 비동기 머신을 위한 견실 제어 (Robust Control of Input/state Asynchronous Machines with Uncertain State Transitions)

  • 전역 클럭 없이 동작하는 비동기 순차 머신은 동기 순차 머신에 비해서 속도나 에너지 소비 면에서 장점을 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 불확실한 상태 천이를 가지는 입력/상태 비동기 머신을 위한 견실 제어기를 제안한다. 논문에서 고려하는 비동기 머신은 모델 불확실성, 내부 고장 등으로 인해서 일부 영역의 상태 천이 함수가 불확실하다. 이번 연구에서는 이러한 비동기 머신을 표현하는 유한 상태 머신 식을 제안한 후 일반화된 도달가능성 행렬을 이용하여 머신의 폐루프 동작이 주어진 정상적인 모델의 동작과 일치하도록 하는 비동기 제어기가 존재할 조건을 규명한다. 또한 기존 연구 결과를 바탕으로 비동기 제어기의 설계 과정을 기술하고 폐루프 시스템의 안정 상태 동작을 분석한다.

Application to Speed Control of Brushless DC Motor Using Mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ PID Controller with Genetic Algorithm

  • This paper proposes a mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ optimal PID controller with a genetic algorithm based on the dynamic model of a brushless direct current (BLDC) motor and applies it to speed control. In the dynamic model of the BLDC motor with perturbation, the proposed controller guarantees arobust and optimal tracking performance to the desired speed of the BLDC motor. A genetic algorithm was used to obtain parameters for the PID controller that satisfy the mixed $H_2/H_{\infty}$ constraint. To implement the proposed controller, a control system based on PIC18F4431 was developed. Numerical and experimental results are shown to prove that the performance of the proposed controller was better than that of the optimal PID controller.

  • 정량적 궤환이론(Quantitative Feedback Theory : QFT)은 플랜트 불확실성과 외란에도 불구하고 요구된 시스템의 제어성능을 성취하기 위해서 궤환의 사용을 강조하는 매우 실제적인 설계기법이다. 이 QFT의 루프형성과정은 요구된 경계조건이 만족될 때까지 강인한 제어기를 설계하는 것을 허용한다. 본 논문에서는 QFT의 루프형성을 이용한 PID 제어기의 최적 설계방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 QFT 경계조건에 의해 얻어진 2차원의 시스템 행렬과 출력 벡터를 재배열하는 것으로부터 전개된 선형 연립방정식으로부터 PID 제어기의 파라미터 벡터를 식별하는 방식이다. 제안된 방법의 유용성은 터빈의 속도제어 문제에 의해 검증하였다.

  • This paper proposes the optimal current detect(OCD) maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control of photovoltaic(PV) system for robust with environment changing. The output characteristics of the solar cell is a nonlinear and affected by a temperature, the solar radiation and temperature. Conventional MPPT control methods are tracked the maximum power point by constant incremental value. So these methods are slow the response speed and generated the vibration in steady state and cannot track the MPP in environment condition changing. And power loss is generated because of the self-excitation vibration in MPP region. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the novel control algorithm. Proposed algorithm is detected the optimal current in two control region using the output power and current curve. Detected current is used the converter switching for tracking the MPP. Proposed algorithm is compared output power error to conventional algorithm with radiation and temperature changing. In addition, the validity of the algorithm is proved through the output error response characteristics.

최소 제어 인자 도출을 통한 사용편의성 높은 제어시스템 설계 (Design of a User-Friendly Control System using Least Control Parameters)

  • An electric motor is the one of the most important parts in robot systems, which mainly drives the wheel of mobile robots or the joint of manipulators. According to the requirement of motor performance, the controller type and parameters vary. For the wheel driving motors, a speed tracking controller is used, while a position tracking controller is required for the joint driving motors. Moreover, if the mechanical parameters are changed or a different motor is used, we might have to tune again the controller parameters. However, for the beginners who are not familiar about the controller design, it is hard to design pertinently. In this paper, we develop a nominal robust controller model for the velocity tracking of wheel driving motors and the position tracking of joint driving motors based on the disturbance observer (DOB) which can reject disturbances, modeling errors, and dynamic parameter variations, and propose the methodology for the determining the least control parameters. The proposed control system enables the beginners to easily construct a controller for the newly designed robot system. The purpose of this paper is not to develop a new controller theory, but to increase the user-friendliness. Finally, simulation and experimental verification have performed through the actual wheel and joint driving motors.

Robust DTC Control of Doubly-Fed Induction Machines Based on Input-Output Feedback Linearization Using Recurrent Neural Networks

  • This paper describes a novel Direct Torque Control (DTC) method for adjustable speed Doubly-Fed Induction Machine (DFIM) drives which is supplied by a two-level Space Vector Modulation (SVM) voltage source inverter (DTC-SVM) in the rotor circuit. The inverter reference voltage vector is obtained by using input-output feedback linearization control and a DFIM model in the stator a-b axes reference frame with stator currents and rotor fluxes as state variables. Moreover, to make this nonlinear controller stable and robust to most varying electrical parameter uncertainties, a two layer recurrent Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is used to estimate a certain function which shows the machine lumped uncertainty. The overall system stability is proved by the Lyapunov theorem. It is shown that the torque and flux tracking errors as well as the updated weights of the ANN are uniformly ultimately bounded. Finally, effectiveness of the proposed control approach is shown by computer simulation results.

고속전자밸브를 사용한 유압시스템의 안정성 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stability Analysis of Hydraulic System Using High Speed On-Off Valves)

  • This study describes the merits of PWM control of hydraulic system using high speed on-off valves. Generally, Electro-hydraulic valves can be classified into two classification: valves which are controlled by analog signal and which are controlled by digital. The former includes hydraulic servo valves and proportional valves which require A/D converters as interface to digital computer and too costly and sensitive to oil contamination because of complexity in structures. The latter includes high speed on-off valves which do not require A/D converters because they are normally operated in a pulse width modulation(PWM) method, and are low in price and robust to oil contamination because of their simple structures. The objectives of this study is to analyze the limit cycle which regularly appear in the position control system using 2/2way high speed on-off valves and to give a criterion for the stability of this system. The nonlinear characteristics of PWM and cylinder friction of this system are described by harmonic linearization and the effects of parameter variations to the system stability are simulated.

  • BLDC motor is used in a wide variety of industrial and servo applications. Its features and advantages mainly consist in high value of torque/inertia ratio, high efficiency with speed range and high dynamic performance. This paper deals with the speed control of a trapezoidal type brushless DC motor using Fuzzy PI controller. The conventional PI controller has been widely used in industrial applications. If we select a optimal PI control gain, the PI controller shows very good control performance. But it is very difficult to find the optimal PI control gain. Fuzzy control does not need any model of plant and is basically adaptive and gives robust performance for plant parameter variation. Therefore the combinations of conventional PI controller and fuzzy controller seem to be very effective. This paper deals with PI controller with 4-rule based fuzzy controller. The proposed fuzzy PI controller increases the control performance of the conventional PI controller. Simulation and experimental results show that fuzzy PI controller has a good robustness regarding the improper tuned PI controller.

  • Brushless DC Motor(PM BLDCM) is widely used in industrial applications due to its high efficiency and power density. In order to increase reliability and reduce system cost, this paper studies particularly applicable method for sensorless PM BLDCM drive system. The resulting third harmonic signal keeps a constant phase relationship with the rotor flux for any motor speed and load condition, and is practically free of noise that can be introduced by the inverter switching, making this a robust sensing method. As a result, the method described here is not sensitive to filtering delays, allowing the motor to achieve a good performance over a wide speed range. In addition, a simple starting method and a speed estimation approach are also proposed.
