  • Roaming authentication protocol is widely used in wireless network which can enable a seamless service for the mobile users. However, the classical approach requires the home server's participation during the authentication between the mobile user and the foreign server. So the more the roaming requests are performed the heavier burden will be on the home server. In this paper, we propose a new roaming authentication framework for wireless communication without the home server's participation. The new roaming authentication protocol in the new framework takes advantage of the ID-based cryptography and provides user anonymity. It has good performance compared with the roaming authentication protocols whose authentication do not need the home server's participation in terms of security and computation costs. Moreover, a new User-to-User authentication protocol in the new framework is also present. All the authentications proposed in this paper can be regarded as a common construction and can be applied to various kinds of wireless networks such as Cellular Networks, Wireless Mesh Networks and Vehicle Networks.

  • We describe CHAP authentication for roaming service method of visited ISP subscriber on GPRS network. We also illustrate how visited mobile ISP subscriber can access ISP server and authenticate RADIUS in home network via Gateway GPRS Support Node (GGSN) on GPRS/UMTS network for wireless internet service and roaming. For this we propose the modified CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.

  • In this paper, we present more efficient Protocol than that of Ford and Kaliski. We use RSA in the roaming protocol and it Plays decisive role to reduce the total time cost. We show that our protocol is safe from various attacks. We present the performance of our protocol and verify that This protocol needs fewer secure channel like SSL than other protocols.

  • This paper proposes a fast authentication scheme based on hierarchical key structure (HiFA) for roaming mobile nodes in both intra-domain and inter-domain. The full authentication procedure standardized in IEEE 802.11 and 802.16 is difficult to be applied to a handover since it needs a heavy operation and long delay time during a handover. Though a number of schemes were proposed to solve the problem, the existing schemes might degrade the security of authentication or impose heavy administrative burden on the Pome authentication server. The main contribution of this paper is to reduce the communication and computation overhead of the home authentication sewer without degrading the security strength of the fast roaming authentication using hierarchical authentication key structure. The proposed scheme iii this paper decentralizes the administrative burden of the home authentication server to other network entities such as a local authentication server or access point and supports the security separation of the authentication key among local authentication servers using hash key chain.

  • In ubiquitous environment, a user has been provided with service and mobility using various devices. The users' network can be divided into a home network (a user belongs to the network through an authentication server) and an external network (when a user moves or external authentication server is). Users can use a mobile device or a device at an external network. In this paper, when a user has access to a service in an external network with a mobile device, there is a skim that a service is securely provided by roaming private information (encryption key etc${\cdots}$) and a skim which gives access to a home network using a device in an external network. If you use these skims, roaming is provided in order that you can use a secure service in an external network.

  • The advent of the Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) paradigm allows mobile users to offload resource-intensive and delay-stringent services to nearby servers, thereby significantly enhancing the quality of experience. Due to erratic roaming of mobile users in the network environment, maintaining maximum quality of experience becomes challenging as they move farther away from the serving edge server, particularly due to the increased latency resulting from the extended distance. The services could be migrated, under policies obtained using Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) techniques, to an optimal edge server, however, this operation incurs significant costs in terms of service downtime, thereby adversely affecting service quality of experience. Thus, this study addresses the service mobility problem of deciding whether to migrate and where to migrate the service instance for maximized migration benefits and marginal service downtime.

  • Security plays a vital role and is the key challenge in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET). Infrastructure-less nature of MANET makes it arduous to envisage the genre of topology. Due to its inexhaustible access, information disseminated by roaming nodes to other nodes is susceptible to many hazardous attacks. Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IDPS) is undoubtedly a defense structure to address threats in MANET. Many IDPS methods have been developed to ascertain the exceptional behavior in these networks. Key issue in such IDPS is lack of fast self-organized learning engine that facilitates comprehensive situation awareness for optimum decision making. Proposed "Intelligent Behavioral Hybridized Intrusion Detection and Prevention System (IBH_IDPS)" is built with computational intelligence to detect complex multistage attacks making the system robust and reliable. The System comprises of an Intelligent Client Agent and a Smart Server empowered with fuzzy inference rule-based service engine to ensure confidentiality and integrity of network. Distributed Intelligent Client Agents incorporated with centralized Smart Server makes it capable of analyzing and categorizing unethical incidents appropriately through unsupervised learning mechanism. Experimental analysis proves the proposed model is highly attack resistant, reliable and secure on devices and shows promising gains with assured delivery ratio, low end-to-end delay compared to existing approach.
