  • To strengthen competences, most of firms have co-operated with external partners. This increases the possibility of unexpected conflicts between firms due to the intellectual property litigation. A suitable intellectual property strategy for firms has to be developed to settle this issue. This study aims to analyze an utilization of intellectual property strategy in firms, and tries to suggest a concept of IP roadmap to support intellectual property strategy planning aligned with technology planning process. For the purposes, we derive five types of intellectual property strategy of firms using Korea Innovation Survey. Then, we explore significant affecting factors using a decision-tree and conduct in-depth analysis for them. Lastly, we suggest a concept of IP roadmap, which can be a supporting tool for developing intellectual property strategy in firms, based on analysis results.

  • The wide use of Information Technology(IT), especially the rapid diffusion of the internet, brings us a new paradigm, called "Electronic Commerce", or "Digital Economy." The paradigm is regarded as a business strategy essential to organization's competitive advantage. Because very few studies have been performed in the area of e-strategy, especially in the combined strategy of clicks and mortars, a research on this area is needed. The main questions of this study are empirically to validate the usefulness and the applicability of a decision roadmap and to analyze the situation of Korean firms based on the decision roadmap. Major results of this study are as follows; First, there is an evidence that the roadmap can be applied to firms regardless of its industry and size. Second, usefulness of the roadmap is proved since companies that followed the prescription of the decision roadmap showed high degree of satisfaction with online sales amount. Third, Korean firms in general do not achieve the ideal degree of integration (or separation), especially in terms of management and operation. In conclusion, this study provides e-business strategy planners some guidelines about how to achieve right mix of on-line and off-line business.

  • This paper aims to presents a systematic procedure for the development of construction technology roadmap, which can consider the offshore wind farm on port. Then the weight among the large/medium/small classified construction technology has identified through the AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process) approach using FGI(Focus Group Interview) and questionnaire study. Based on the priority for classified construction technology a construction technology roadmap for port offshore wind farm was also developed. The technology roadmap suggests the time frame(20 years, from 2016 to 2036) to complete R&D work for the classified construction technology of port offshore wind farm. Such construction technology roadmap can be utilized as a milestone in setting up the R&D strategy in the green port construction industry.

  • The objective of this research is to propose a e-learning standardization roadmap based on the future scenarios. First of all, a e-learning standardization committee was organized to collect ideas on the visions of the future e-learning, in which experts from the technological, educational, and standardization field were invited. They made a great contribution to the success of this research by furnishing us with valuable advices and feedbacks. The first step of the research was to survey the current e-learning standardization proposals suggested by some of standard organizations in and out of the country. We developed three 2015 scenarios for e-learning in elementary and secondary education, in university education, and in life-long education respectively by using a top-down roadmap development strategy. In the second step, we drew a new e-learning standardization roadmap v2 out of the future scenarios by gap analysis between the current and the future e-learning standardization elements. These future e-learning scenarios and e-learning standardization roadmap are very helpful to teachers or educational policy makers for understanding future e-learning and e-learning standardization.

  • The space industry is a comprehensive and technology-intensive industry involving different converging technologies. However, most of the companies in Korea's space industry are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and need to strengthen global capacity to export their products. However, the link between the destination country and the product remains insufficient. Consequently, the purpose of this study is to propose an export roadmap for space products to provide SMEs with export opportunities and strategic guidelines. For this, technology roadmap and portfolio analysis are applied to this purpose. This study is expected to be helpful to SMEs and government agencies.
