In this paper the electromagnetic torque developed in IPMSM(Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) is analyzed. If flux distributions in the motor are not sinusoidal, a sinusoidal current produces important torque ripple. Torque ripple causes vibration and noise of motors. The optimized current waveforms for ripple free is able to be obtained by analysis of Back-EMF and torque equation. The method to find the optimal current is based on numerical predetermination. In this paper proposes current waveform which can eliminate the torque ripple, and the validity is verified through the simulation.

This paper deals with pressure ripple and noise reduction characteristics for a hydrostatic transmission(HST) consisting of a variable axial piston pump connected in an open loop to a fixed displacement axial piston motor. Pressure ripples in HST is major source of vibration, which can lead to fatigue failure of components and cause noise. In order to reduce the pressure ripple, an annular tube type hydraulic filter proposes to absorb pressure ripples with the high frequencies components to achieve better noise attenuation in HST. The basic principle tube is applied to propagation of pressure wave, reflection, absorption in cross section of discontinuity and resonance in the hydraulic pipeline. It is experimently confirmed that a hydraulic filter is absorbed to be about 30∼40dB of pressure ripple with high frequencies. These results will assist in modeling and design of noise reduction in hydraulic control systems, and here, should provide a means of designing a quieter HST.

In this study, a novel reactive power control scheme is proposed to supply stable reactive power to the distribution line by compensating a ripple voltage of DC link. In a single-phase system, a magnitude of second harmonic is inevitably generated in the DC link voltage, and this phenomenon is further increased when the capacity of DC link capacitor decreases. Reactive power control was performed by controlling the d-axis current in the virtual synchronous reference frame, and the voltage control for maintaining the DC link voltage was implemented through the q-axis current control. The proposed method for compensating the ripple voltage was classified into three parts, which consist of the extraction unit of DC link voltage, high pass filter (HPF), and time delay unit. HPF removes an offset component of DC link voltage extracted from integral, and a time delay unit compensates the phase leading effect due to the HPF. The compensated DC voltage is used as feedback component of voltage control loop to supply stable reactive power. The performance of the proposed algorithm was verified through simulation and experiments. At DC link capacitance of 375 uF, the magnitude of ripple voltage decreased to 8 Vpp from 74 Vpp in the voltage control loop, and the total harmonic distortion of the current was improved.
Brushless DC motors have a trapezoidal back EMF wave form and are fed with rectangular stator currents. Under these conditions, the torque produced is theoretcally constant. However, in practice, torque ripple may exist, one major cause of which conies from phase current commutation. In this paper we propose an improved method of reducing the torque ripple due to phase current commutation of indirectly restricting the uncommutated current through control of the other phase currents. Simulation results are present.
This paper proposes a filter design guideline for grid-connected single-phase inverters. By analyzing the instantaneous voltage applied to the filter inductor, the switching ripple current through the filter inductor can be precisely calculated. Therefore, filter inductance can be designed accurately, which guaranties that the switching ripple current will be under the target value. The proposed filter design method is verified by experiment.

In this paper, a new torque predictive control method of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor is developed based on an extended rotor flux. Also, a duty ratio prediction method is proposed and allows the duty ratio of the active stator voltage vector to be continuously calculated. The proposed method makes it possible to relatively reduce the torque ripple under the steady state as well as to remain the good dynamic response in the transient state. With the duty ratio prediction method, the magnitude and time interval of the active stator voltage vector applied can be continuously controlled against the varying operation conditions. This paper shows a comparative study among the switching table direct torque control(DTC), the SVM-DTC, conventional torque predictive control, and the proposed torque predictive control. Simulation results show validity and effectiveness of this work.
A technique to suppress the low frequency ripple voltage of the DC output voltage in three-phase buck diode rectifiers is presented. A pulse frequency modulation method is employed to regulate the output voltage of the rectifier and guarantee zero-current switching of the switch over the wide operating range. The pulse frequency control method used in this paper shows generally good performance such as low THD of the input line current and unity power factor. In addition, the pulse frequency method can be effectively used to suppress the low frequency voltage ripple appeared in the dc output voltage. The proposed technique illustrates its validity and effectiveness through the respective simulations and experiments.

This paper proposes the instantaneous source voltage and phase current control for torque ripple reduction of a high speed miniature BLDC motor. As compared with general BLDC motor, a high speed miniature BLDC motor has a fast electrical time-constant. So the current and torque ripple are very serious in a conventional PWM switching during conduction period. In order to reduce the switching current ripple, instantaneously controlled source voltage is supplied to the inverter system according to the motor speed and load torque. In addition, the fast hysteresis current controller can keep the phase current In the limited band. The proposed method is verified by the computer simulation and experimental results.

In this paper, we could find optimum quantum sequence(OQS) to minimize the output ripple voltage of the quantum series resonant converter(QSRC). This sequence control is so general that it is irrelevant to the voltage gain so far as it is operating in the continuous conduction mode(CCM). Further more the dynamic range of QSRC is much extended by the optimum quantum sequence control(OQSC). Througuout the time-domain analysis, the solution of steady state and the boundary condition between continuous and discontinuous mode is QSRC is obtained. This feature is verified by simulations and experiments with good agreements.
This paper proposes a voltage compensation method to improve the control performance of B4 inverter which is studied for low-cost drive systems. The B4 inverter employs only four switches and it has a center-tapped connection in the split dc-link capacitors to one phase of a three-phase motor. In the B4 topology unbalan-cd three-phase voltages will be generated by the dc link voltage ripple. To solve this problem we present a voltage compensation method which adjusts switching times considering dc link voltage ripple. The proposed method is verified by simulation results,
