For the public library reading revitalization in this study it is to review program development examples which is differentiated by own library from the existing reading education and reading program. Based on the specialized program examples it intended suggesting a method of reading revitalization, after reviewing enlarged specialized function in the existing public library function, and analyzing related the reading activity status concerning with Seoul city public library, 'One Library One Book Reading' activity and U. S. A public library. Also, this study suggested future public library reading revitalization through the specialized quality service program development and construction related reading.

The research is intended to establish the importance of background knowledge in reading process and suggest a revitalization plan for the schema for reading education. The reading process as fundamental research and the schema conception have been studied and the present situation of reading education in the school libraries has been inspected. This research reviewed the reading strategies which school libraries require for the revitalization of the schema and based on this data, a method of SQ3R reading has been applied and a class model developed. As an outcome, a guidance plan for instruction was proposed and learning-activity materials applying graphic organizer have been produced. Subsequently, a class in school library was conducted. Following the outcome of the class and an expert's review of the class model, this research has developed a class model for the revitalization of the schema for reading education in school libraries.

The purpose of this study is to survey the events which school libraries have practiced for reading education and to do the suggestions on the revitalization of events which are related to the reading education. The results of this study is like following; 1) Teacher-librarians should be employed to school libraries. 2) School libraries ought to make a plan for the events which are related to the reading and libraries and practice it. 3) School libraries have to inform the news according to reading education events through the webpage of school libraries. 4) The budget for reading education should be obtained. 5) The administrative assistance is needed for the reading education events. 6) Teacher-librarian should make the plans for reading education based on the social memorials.

This study is to examine the effect of book festivals on personal reading habituation and library revitalization. The survey of participants of book festivals is conducted. As a result, it appears that participation of book festivals has a impact on personal reading habituation and recognition of and using library. The followings are results of this survey: recognition of participants about book festivals has a impact on personal reading habituation and recognition of library and using library, but the effect(2.1~4.7%) is slight; Satisfaction of book fair(display and selling booths) has a impact on personal reading habituation(30.1%); Satisfaction of experience booths has a impact on recognition of library(22.4%) and using library(26.4%); Satisfaction of participating in book festivals also has a impact on participant's reading habituation(24.5%), recognition of library(20.1%) and using library(27.5%).

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the reading status of middle school students in S region based on the national reading survey in 2021 and to suggest a plan to promote the creation of a reading culture. To this end, we conducted a reading survey of 695 middle school students in S region for two weeks from July 5, 2022 to July 19, 2022. In addition, by comparing and analyzing the national reading survey, problems in the reading survey of middle school students in S region were identified, and the necessity and plan for revitalizing the reading culture were presented. The measures to activate the reading culture are as follows. First, a method to improve middle school students' reading volume was sought. Second, various ways to activate reading clubs were suggested. Third, the necessity of supplementing the one-book reading program per semester was suggested. Fourth, a communication plan between the school library and students was presented. Fifth, the need for various reading guidance and reading programs for middle school students was recognized.

The purpose of this study is to provide PR campaign strategies for revitalization of reading culture that are pertinent to Korean situation through analyzing successful international PR campaign cases of advanced countries in reading. For analyzing successful international PR campaign cases for revitalizing reading culture, this study selected four international PR campaign cases from Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. In addition, this study analyzed the goals and objectives, strategies and tactics, and strengths and weaknesses of the selected PR campaigns in order to draw a way for establishing effective PR campaign strategies for expanding social support about reading culture and diffusing reading culture. According to the findings of this study, the selected PR campaigns are maximizing PR effect by getting attentions of news media and public through using unique and ingenious ideas, and utilizing convenience for public to participate PR campaign easily as a main PR strategy. Furthermore, the selected PR campaigns are improving public's participation in the PR campaign by targeting readers who usually like reading as a main target audience, and maximizing public's participation in the PR campaign by using interesting elements that are attracting attentions from the public.

This study aim was to revitalize young adults' programs in public library. For this aim, the study conducts a questionnaire survey to the young adults & the young adults' program librarians on the current state of the young adults' programs. Based on the survey results, the study suggested preparation of young adults' reading room, young adults' programs development, young adults' web site, young adults' librarian for young adults' programs revitalization in public library.

The reading activity of university students is the key element for the cultivation of creative human resources, and each university develops and performs the various cultural education and library program. Actually, the university libraries check the service periodically through library satisfaction surveys and the library user's actual condition survey to improve it, but the amount of reading, number of books lent and the rate of borrowers are still under expectation. Therefore, in this research, an in-depth analysis of lending books data for freshmen, as the service improvement and revitalization measures of university libraries for students, suggested the following: (1) the early education for the library users, (2) the opening of the students-participating library collections, (3) the use of the data using a library for the consulting with students (4) the establishment of the library depositary for education support, and (5) the introduction of the library CRM for individual student. Through this result, it would be substantially helpful for each university library (including two-year college), in which the number of lending books and the rate of borrowers are below expectations.

The purpose of this study is to suggest strategies to improve and revitalize public small libraries established and operated by local governments among small libraries in Yangpyeong-gun. For this purpose, basic factors to be considered for the analysis of the current situation were derived by examining the policies and prior studies of small libraries. Based on these factors, the operation status of the public small libraries were analyzed, and interviews were conducted with the itinerant libertarians and staffs. As a result of the analysis, the main problems were the deterioration of a building, the lack of manpower and expertise, and the collection and program that did not reflect regional characteristics. In this study, we suggested a revitalization strategy such as improvement of the operating system, development of community-focused life-friendly libraries, reinforcement of manpower and expertise, development of book collections and reading culture programs with regional specialization, and establishment of community networks.

This study is to suggest the revitalization plan of military libraries, on the basis of analysis for the military library status and the results of a survey and interview with soldiers and working staff in the military libraries. To this end, first, it analyzes study trends in the operation and revitalization plan of the military libraries based on the preceding research analysis and investigates and analyzes the operation of the military libraries. Second, it identifies problems in the operation of the military libraries by comparing and analyzing between the operation of domestic military libraries and the best cases as well as the operation situation of the overseas military libraries. Third, it suggests the revitalization plan by holistically analyzing the situation and the best cases of the military libraries while finding out the problems through interviews and questionnaires. According to the analysis, first, it is necessary to expand the number of exclusive personnel with librarian qualifications and prepare standards for the placement of librarians. Second, it is necessary to develop online education to provide regular operation education for the personnel of the military libraries. Third, it is necessary to develop common manuals for working staff. Fourth, it is necessary to prepare the plan to expand the preference books of soldiers to increase reading and usage rate of the military libraries. Fifth, it is necessary to construct library space in the form of a book cafe for soldiers' knowledge development and relaxation and to locate the library in a highly accessible place. Lastly, it needs to develop the application of the military library and should lead to high interest in libraries by letting soldiers read books and post book reviews on it after work.
