Advancements in digital technology have led to increased usage of digital devices among teenagers. The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic and the subsequent implementation of social distancing policies have further accelerated this change. Consequently, a new concept called the metaverse has emerged. The metaverse is a combination of a virtual reality universe that allows individuals to meet, socialize, work, play, entertain, and create. This review provides an overview of the concept and main features of the metaverse and examples of its utilization in the real world. It also explains the unique developmental characteristics of childhood and adolescence, as well as the possible negative influences of the metaverse on them, including addiction, antisocial behavior, cyberbullying, and identity confusion. This review summarizes several suggestions for future research because the metaverse is a relatively new concept.

KBG syndrome (KBGS) is a multisystem disorder characterized by short stature, distinctive facial features including macrodontia of upper central permanent incisors, and developmental/cognitive delay. It is caused by variants or deletion of Ankyrin Repeat Domain 11 (ANKRD11) located in chromosome 16q24.3. Since its initial report in 1975, KBG syndrome has been recognized as an exceedingly rare disorder. However, recent advancements in genetic diagnostic techniques have led to an increase in both the diagnosis rate and the number of reported cases, contributing to a rapid increase in its global prevalence. We review the clinical aspects of KBGS, including previously reported and newly reported cases, as well as the related genetic patterns discovered so far.

Chromosome 22 is an acrocentric chromosome containing 500-600 genes, representing 1.5%-2% of the total DNA in cells. It was the first human chromosome to be fully sequenced by the Human Genome Project. Several syndromes involving the partial deletion or duplication of chromosome 22 are well descibed, including 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, 22q11.2 duplication syndrome, 22q11.2 distal deletion syndrome, Phelan-McDermid syndrome caused by a 22q13 deletion or pathogenic variant in SHANK3, and cat-eye syndrome caused by a 22 pter-q11 duplication. This review aims to provide concise information on the clinical characteristics of these syndromes. In particular, the similarities in features among these syndromes, genetic basis, and standard detection techniques are described, providing guidance for diagnosis and genetic counselling.

Meningioma is a common neoplasm of the central nervous system; however, primary extracranial meningioma of the paranasal sinus, especially the maxillary sinus, is rare. We report a case of primary extracranial meningioma (fibrous type) of the maxillary sinus and present a literature review of the imaging features that correlate with fibrous meningioma.

Product-service systems (PSS), integrating physical products and services, currently play a crucial role in sustainable economies. In addition to the highly competitive global economy, the emergence of new digital paradigms is supporting the shift toward servitization. Although the great potential of such paradigms is recognized by both practice and research, their implications for PSS are not yet clear. In particular, features of Internet of Things (IoT), such as total connectedness and ubiquity of smart sensors and actuators, provide various new opportunities for PSS. This study explores such opportunities by conducting structured literature review and 13 interviews. We organize the findings in two folds: First, we introduce four degrees of IoT involvement in PSS business models and elaborate the opportunities that they create for different types of PSS. Second, we present the key technologies and approaches that IoT provides concerning PSS lifecycle management.

The aim of this research is to examine the impact of trust in reviews. Expertise, enjoyment, recency, and usefulness-four aspects of reviews-are designated as independent variables, and trust in reviews has been chosen as the mediating variable. The dependent variables are trust in firms and trust in products. For explaining the flow of trust, this study uses the theory of Trust Transfer. The study's findings demonstrated that customer trust in a product leads to consumer trust in a company, which is derived from trust in reviews. Reviews were found to be important from a practical standpoint. Furthermore, it was discovered that a product's category or features would have an impact on how reviews are trusted.

Littoral cell angiomas are rare vascular tumors of the spleen. Because of their rarity, unclear etiopathogenesis, and association with other malignancies, these tumors can pose diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Due to paucity of published literature on this entity often limited to case reports, relevant data on this topic were procured and synthesized with the aid of a comprehensive Medline search in addition to oncologic, pathologic, radiologic, and surgical literature review on littoral cell angiomas. This article provides an in-depth review into postulated etiopathogenesis, pathology, clinical manifestations, associated malignancies, and prognostic features of littoral cell angiomas.

Zoonotic diseases are rare but the transmission of disease to humans may cause serious illness. Nipah virus (NiV) is a bat-borne zoonotic pathogen, which can cause severe encephalitis and respiratory distress. The transmission of Nipah virus from bats to humans was first reported in Malaysia in 1998. Different strains of NiV show different epidemiological and clinical features. Few of the strains are highly lethal and can spread to the community resulting in a global threat. However, the availability of effective management or prophylactic measures are only limited. Thus, it is essential to contain such outbreaks by implementing proper infection control and surveillance measures. Many serological and molecular diagnostic techniques have been developed for diagnosis of this infection. This review mainly focuses on the epidemiology, transmission of Nipah virus, pathogenesis and management of NiV infection. The review also throws light on the immune response of NiV in humans and the role of One Health approach in prevention and control of NiV infection.

The system components and its architecture are presented, as well as how to configure and run SINGA for different types of distributed training using model/data partitioning. In this review paper we explain the following gamma-ray emission features from the millisecond pulsars. (1) Why is the dipolar field of millisecond pulsars so weak but the magnetic pair creation process may still be able to control the size of the outergap? (2) A sub-GeV pulse component could occur in the vicinity of the radio pulse of millisecond pulsars. (3) Orbital modulated gamma-rays should exist in the black widow systems for large viewing angle.
