  • Grid is infrastructure that connect distrubuted resources or ones in various organizations and enable user to use them as a virtual enormous resources. Traditionally, Job Management Service in Grid plays a role of job submission window and job monitoring and a important part of Grid Services with Resource Information Service and Data Transfer & Management Service. In this paper, we describe a design and implementation of Job Managment Service on TIGRIS.

  • ZigBee Network is enabling technology for home automation, surveillance and monitoring system. For better secure network environment, secure and robust security model is important. The paper proposes an application, attribute-based proxy re-encryption on ZigBee networks. The method can distribute the authority to designated sensor nodes to decrypt re-encrypted ciphertext with associated attributes. However, a previous method is required to compute complex pairing operations. The high complexity is not suited to low resource device sensor networks, and it does not provide routing security either. To resolve these problems, we present a novel mechanism. The method can reduce overhead by imposing overhead to full function devices and ensure routing paths as well.

  • In a CDMA system, the capacity is variable and mainly depends on multiple access interference. The multiple access interference has a deep relationship with transmitted or received power. The capacity of CDMA2000 1x system is considered to be limited by the forward link capacity. Different rate data traffic requires different transmitted power and rate controlling enables the system utilize radio resource more efficiently. A very simple rate control algorithm fer data calls in CDMA2000 1x system is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, by monitoring the total transmit power, we can simply adjust data rate to channel conditions and efficiently use radio resources. The proposed algorithm is easy to implement in power controlled CDMA systems.

  • Recently, the applications of unmanned system are steadily increasing. Unmanned automatic system is suitable for routine mission such as reconnaissance, environment monitoring, resource conservation and investigation. Especially, for the ocean environmental probe mission, many ocean engineers had scoped with the routine and even risky works. The unmanned surface vessel designed for sea probes can replace the periodic and routine missions such as water sampling, temperature and salinity measuring, etc. In this paper, an unmanned surface vessel was designed for ocean environmental probe missions. A classical and an adaptive fuzzy control system were designed and tested for the unmanned surface vessel. The design methodologies and performance of the surface vessel and fuzzy control algorithm were illustrated and verified with this unmanned vessel system designed for sea probes.

  • We designed an intelligent intrusion detection scheme that works based on target system's operational states and doesn't depend on humans' analysis. As a prior work, we presents a scheme to describe computer system's operational states. For this, Hidden Markov Model is used. As input to modeling, huge amount of system audit trail including data on events occurred in target system connected to network and target system's resource usage monitoring data is used. We can predict system's future state based on current events' sequence using developed model and determine whether it would be in daniel or not.

  • Korea has excellent IT capability. Adding Information Technology to KPX's experience of Power system operation, KPX is developing KEMS(Korea EMS) through cooperation between industry and the academic world. Monitoring EMS's essential elements is necessary for the EMS functions which are managing massive realtime data. This paper describes the most important and advanced structure of the TRMS(Total Resource Management System) in the process of developing KEMS(Korean Energy Management System).

  • Wireless sensor networks offer an attractive solution to several environments, security, and process monitoring problems. However, one barrier for their full adoption is the need to provide electrical power over extended periods of time without the need of dedicated wiring. Energy harvesting offers good solutions to this problem in several applications. This paper surveys the energy requirements of typical sensor network nodes and summarizes the future research work in the field of energy harvesting resource allocation in wireless sensor networks.
