The study of Information Systems(IS) is a relatively new discipline area, thus an analysis of the latest research literature could be useful to identify what the researchers are doing and what can be done to improve our discipline. With that purpose in mind, this study analyzes the total 208 articles published in "The Journal of Information Systems~ between 2001 and 2008. The classification system that comprises three key characteristics of diversity (research topic, research method, and reference discipline) was developed based on a review of prior literature. The results of this study were also compared with Kim et al.(2005)'s and Vessey et al.(2002)'s results to identify issues in current Information Systems research and 10 suggest some recommendations for future In formation Systems research. The findings identify popular research topic:s, the dominant research method, and reference discipline. The popular research topics consists of organizational concepts, problem domain-specific concepts, and systems/software management concepts. Field study was characterized as the dominant research method in the papers included in the study. Information Systems itself represents the major theoretical reference of the studies. However, many papers in this study relied on a number of reference disciplines., none of which was dominant, or they did not rely on a specific reference discipline. Finally, this study suggests more research on the disciplinary issues, more training on the research method, more accurate and specific reference discipline, and controlled diversity.

The International Research Cooperation Information Center has carried out a project to collect the DBs related to the international research cooperation information, and build an online service system. This study seeks to examine and understand the trends of international research cooperation by analyzing the data corresponding to the other international cooperation DBs such as symposium and seminar, which may be said to be the arena of cooperation by the international research cooperation related experts, among the international research cooperation information DBs collected by the International Research Cooperation Information Center. The other international cooperation DBs are divided into the international cooperation consortium, international cooperation symposium, international research cooperation seminar, international training program, international research cooperation workshop, and the international research cooperation equipment / facility. It seems that, based on the research results, it is necessary to hold international cooperation programs, seminars, and workshops, among others, with a focus on the themes to recover the trends of international cooperation as in the past, and recover from the pandemic situation. The results of this study may be utilized as the basic data for the researchers related to the international research cooperation, and furthermore, by analyzing various international research cooperation information DBs in a multi-faceted manner, the studies analyzing the research trends of international research cooperation by field, subject, and type may be conducted, and the facilitation of the international research cooperation in Korea is expected moving forward.

With the development of IT technology, various services such as artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles are being introduced, and many changes are taking place in our lives. However, if secure security is not provided, it will cause many risks, so the information security becomes more important. In this paper, we analyzed the research trends of main themes of information security over time. In order to conduct the research, 'Information Security' was searched in the Web of Science database. Using the abstracts of theses published from 1991 to 2016, we derived main research topics through topic modeling and time series regression analysis. The topic modeling results showed that the research topics were Information technology, system access, attack, threat, risk management, network type, security management, security awareness, certification level, information protection organization, security policy, access control, personal information, security investment, computing environment, investment cost, system structure, authentication method, user behavior, encryption. The time series regression results indicated that all the topics were hot topics.

최근 연구성과정보의 원활한 교환 및 유통은 연구생산성 향상에 가장 핵심적인 요인으로 인식되고 있다. 그래서 국가적으로 그리고 각 연구기관에서는 연구성과정보 서비스를 위한 시스템을 계획하거나 구축 중에 있다. 그러나 연구정보들은 서로 다른 형태로 분산되어 있으며, 연구정보를 기술하는 방식에 있어서도 기관별 그리고 연구자 개인별로 많은 차이가 있어서 연구성과정보의 통합에 있어서 많은 제약이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 시맨틱 웹 기술을 도입하여 연구성과정보의 메타데이터에 대한 상호운용성을 제고하는 방안을 제시함으로써 궁극적으로 연구성과정보의 통합을 지원하고자 한다. 특히 과학기술정보표준화위원회에서 제시한 연구성과정보 메타데이터 표준(안)을 기초로 개발되는 온톨로지는 용어들에 대한 구조적인 그리고 의미적인 통합을 가능하게 하며, RDF/RDFS를 이용한 메타데이터 지식표현은 정보 서비스의 검색과 유통에 있어서 지능적인 서비스를 가능하게 한다. 또한 본 연구를 통하여 제시한 시스템의 개념적 구조는 시맨틱 웹 기반의 검색시스템 개발에 있어서 주요 기능, 구성요소, 적용기술 및 상세 설계의 방향을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 메타데이터를 통한 시스템의 통합방식은 기존의 연구성과정보 시스템의 서비스 영역을 확대할 뿐 아니라, 더욱 정교해진 지능적인 검색 서비스도 가능하게 한다.

In the era of the internet and ubiquitous computing, IS users are still facing a variety of threats. Therefore, a need of more tightened information security service increases unprecedentedly. In this sense, this study is aimed at proposing a new research model in which IT assets (i.e., network, system, and information influence) Security and Information Security Service (i.e., confidentiality, integrity, nonrepudiation, authentication) affect information security quality positively, leading to users' satisfaction eventually. To prove the validity of the proposed research model, PLS analysis is applied with valid 177 questionnaires. Results reveal that both IT assets Security and Information Security Service influence informations security qualify positively, and user satisfaction as well. From the results, it can be concluded that Korean government's recent orchestrated efforts to boost the IT assets Security and Information Security Service helped great improve the information security quality and user satisfaction.

Objectives: Several domestic search systems for research projects providing capabilities of searching and managing the research information based on metadata have been completed, although they cannot search projects for specific domains such as the Oriental Medicine field. Therefore, in this paper we propose an effective method for collecting and refining information of research projects in the oriental medicine field. We also design and implement a search management system based on the collected information. Methods: We chose three search elements and defined the collecting process for research projects. The collected information was refined to enhance the quality of results. Then, the search management system was implemented by Adobe Flex. Results: We were able to collect 1,688 research projects in the oriental medicine field. We also implemented the search management system, which provides the functionalities of search and management such as input, update, delete, spreadsheet import/export of R&D projects, user management and access control. Conclusions: The collected information and the search management system will be used in a project analysis system which will be constructed in the future. The project analysis system could help to analyze trends in oriental medicine research as well as construct a technical roadmap.

Performing an online health search is a popular activity conducted on the Internet. Research studies from developed countries provide information on source used, type of search performed and devices used to perform the search. However, the same cannot be said about the online health information searching scene in South East Asia. Online health information searching is gaining popularity in South East Asia. Citizens in these countries are turning to the Internet to obtain health information quickly. Current research studies pertaining to online health information searching in South East Asian is limited, particularly relating to search experiences of South East Asian health searchers. Search experience is pertinent as it could deter or encourage the possibility of conducting future health searches. In this research study, a user study was conducted to describe the online search experience of South East Asian health searchers. A face to face interview with 50 participants was conducted. The interview was audio recorded and transcribed verbatim. Results indicate participants have positive and negative search experiences. In some cases, post search outcomes influenced the search experience. Results of this research study contribute to the growing domain of knowledge in relation to online health information searching. Results of this study also provide an understanding pertaining to the search experience of South East Asian online health searchers.

The purpose of this paper is to develop the metadata on the information of research result in Science and technology and to design the domain knowledge structure using semantic web technology for further implementation. In this paper, we first analyze the existing theories and techniques related to the metadata in such fields as R&D research result, international standard, and semantic web. Then, we extract and group the relevant factors from Dublin Core, CERIF, and the research results for building the integrated metadata framework. Based on our proposed metadata, we design a domain knowledge structure which employs RDF/RDFS as knowledge representation tool. Therefore, we can implement the ontology which produce the 'intelligent' information service and improve the interoperability between the research institutions. Also, the metadata can be used as the basis for developing National R&D Performance Information, and in terms of research institutions, can be used as tools for managing the their own research results information systematically and consistently.

This letter presents an approximation of the outage probability of the pilot channel that can be used for CDMA cell planning. The approximation can determine system parameters for soft handover in IS-95-based cellular CDMA downlink design. Computer simulations show that our analytical results agree with empirical results.

최근 정보통신기술(Information and Communication Technology) 및 사물인터넷 시대가 도래함에 따라 융복합 환경에 따른 다양한 기술의 발전이 이루어지고 있다. 이에 따라 관련 학문에 대한 이론 및 활용 기술에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있는 상황이다. 이러한 패러다임의 변화는 학문들 간의 급격한 융복합 현상을 초래하였으며, 특히 정보시스템학(Information Systems)은 이러한 변화를 선도해 왔다. 정보시스템학은 다른 학문들과의 관계에 있어서 분화적(Divergence) 역할에서 나아가 융합적(Convergence) 역할까지 수행하고 있으나, 이러한 연구 동향에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 시간 경과에 따른 정보시스템의 연구동향을 비교 분석하여 핵심 개념들을 살펴봄으로써 향후 정보시스템학 연구의 방향에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 한다. 구체적으로, 1980년부터 2015년까지의 경영 정보학의 상위 국제저널 48,102개의 논문제목, 저자, 초록, 키워드 분석을 통해 저자들의 공동 연구 네트워크 분석 및 연구 토픽 추출 결과를 연대별로 비교 분석하여 시각화하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 정보시스템 분야의 연구자들에게 정보시스템의 정체성에 대한 폭넓은 이해와 향후 연구 방향에 대한 새로운 시사점을 주기를 기대한다.
